Sesshoumaru whirled around and glared at the servant who dared touch him. His small eyes burned a light pink color, not yet mature enough to turn a dark red. It made him look more funny than threatening but his small puppy growl was anything but friendly

"Where is Father?"

"The Demon Lord is patrolling his lands, young Lord. He shall-"

"He is always back by now! Where is my Father?" the pup demanded. For all his boasting and putting on airs, he felt extremely close to his father and did all in his power to please him. He wanted to be with him as often as he could but given his Father's status as a Lord, that was not always as often as either would have liked. But Father always managed to come back by this time and the fact that he had not had severly upset the young heir.

Thus when the doors finally opened and a slightly bleeding InuTashio emerged, despite the late hour, Sesshoumaru was up out of bed and ran down towards the palace entry. Had there been servants about, he would have been formal but as there were not, he called
"Papa!"

His care taker, called to him.
"Young Lord come away from there, you'll catch your death if you stand there with the doors wide open."
"Father's supose to BED HERE Nana, where is he? The child whined tiredly.
"Perhaps he's been held up, that does happen little one." He glared at the Inu woman with his pink eyes.
"Now don't you go given Nana those eyes Young Lord she'll ruffle the furs right off that hide of yours." She warned with firm but loving tone.

He hissed at her "No, I smell Papa." The pup replied.
"Of course, child." She responded, "his scent is firm around here."
"No...smell it close." The pup pulled away from his caregiver, dropped to all fours and took off in a harsh run, tracing the scent through the entire palace.

"Hello my Sesshy Pup,"
"PAPA!" the five year old screached in excitement throwing himself at his father.
"Were you going while papa was out?" Oh yes the boy answered grinning.
"This Sesshy Puppy, do good today, He always do good. When his papa's out. Now what you get me?" the child asked eyeing the package in front of him.

His father laughed
"And what makes you think this is for you, hmm?"
The pup eyed his father "because it's always for me!"
His father laughed once more, a hearty one. "Perhaps you do know me too well, Sesshoumaru." He reached into the package and removed a small package and regarded him son seriously. "You must take good care of this, Sesshoumaru."
"This Sesshoumaru will!" the pup squealed, taking the small wrapped box. It moved in his hands and he yelped in surprise before ripping the paper off and finding a small two headed dragon.
"For me, Papa?!"

"NANA! Look what I have LOOK! the boy screached in delight showing his wet nurse and care taker his new pet.

Nana laughed, a low sound in her throat. "Oh, wonderful." she regarded the demon lord "I swear, Tashio, you're going to spoil him rotten."
The elder demon grinned "Going to? He already is and that suits me fine."
"Papa, it sleep with me?"
Nana replied "I-"
InuTashio interrupted her "Just for this night. Tomorrow you will need to make it proper nest, outside, my son."
That satisfied the pup and he ran upstairs, intent on showing all the servants his pet whether they were interested or not

"Do it too much and you'll get a problem on your hands. What happens if you decide to mate someone eles and have another pup? THen what?"
