Jasper and Edward set in Jasper's room, rather bored. There was little to do with all eternity facing you, and when you didn't need to hunt.
"So, what can we do?" Jasper asked his brother, with a sigh.
"I don't know," Edward said, equally bored.
Suddenly, Jasper sat up, eyes alit with an idea.
"I have an idea! Let's go racing our cars! See how fast we can get these new models up to!"
Edward grinned. All for speek, he jumped up and the two raced to the garage, Edward hopping into his Volvo, and Jasper into his jeep.
----few hours later----
"Great idea, Jasper," Edward hissed. Of all the things that could have happened, getting hauled into the police station nearly 50 miles from their home, was not one of them. Even with their gifts, they hadn't been able to get away without being obvious about it.
"It wasn't only my idea! You agreed!" Jasper hissed back.
Edward rolled his eyes, and rattled off Carlisle's cell phone number so he could come and get them, as their licenses were being revoked and cars impounded.

Carlisle answered his cell phone, seeing Edward's number. "Edward?" he asked into the cell phone, wondering where he and Jasper was since he hadn't seen them inside the house.
"Where are you and Jasper?"

"Sir, is this Carlisle Cullen?" Asked the sheriff, sternly, shooting a glance to the boys.
Edward sighed, and rolled his eyes at Jasper.

Carlisle's eyes narrowed slightly in anger, realizing exactly where the two boys where. "Yes. I am. Why are Edward and Jasper in the police station?" he asked, keeping his voice calm and level.

"Well, Mr. Cullen, it seems your two boys were joyriding. Racing some cars registered to you. As minors, they aren't being charged with reckless endangerment. But their lisences are being revoked for quite some time. And the cars are being impounded. We need you to come down and bail them out," said the sherrif.
Jasper could tell from the emotions he was sensing that Carlisle was very angry, and Edward knew from the thoughts Carlisle was blocking from him, that they were in ALOT of trouble.

Carlisle gave a silent, but frustrated sigh before saying "Ok then. I will be right there. And tell them that I'm not going to wait until we get home to punish them." He ended he call, putting the cell phone in his pocket before heading to his car.
It was obvious,just by those last words, that Calisle was furious with the two boys! He drove to the police station, arriving there within a matter of minutes before heading inside.

The sherriff glanced at the phone, confused. He didn't quite know what that last part meant.
Edward and Jasper looked up. They had expected anger, and they weren't disappointed. Edward sighed, and glanced over at Jasper. The other boy's thoughts told him he was expecting to get grounded for a VERY long time. He sighed again, and was suddenly very glad that they were in a cell behind the sheriff's desk.
"Ah, Mr. Cullen, I presume?" Said the sherriff standing, "I'm Sheriff Jefferson. These boys have...a rather hefty bail on them."

Carlisle nodded, his face showing subtle,but definite, signs of anger at the two boys. "I would suppose they do. Racing and having their licenses revoked AND the cars impounded. Sheriff Jefferson, I will pay their bail, but may I have a word with them?" he asked, shooting a glance at the two Cullen's, the glance showing his obvious anger and frustration in the two.

Jasper glanced at Edward, his thoughts telling him that Carlisle was NOT happy at all. Edward rolled his eyes, and hissed, "Thank you, Captain Obvious."
Jasper frowned at him and looked like he was going to retort rather rudely.
Sheriff Johnson typed some onto his computer.
"Yes, you can talk them. Do you want to pay the bail first or talk to them?"

"I'll talk to them first, thank you." he said, now turning to the boys, his face now showing more obvious signs of anger, crossing his arms as he stared at the two boys. It was obvious that he wasn't going to go easy on them AT ALL!
