On Their Own (Sorta open)
The door opened with a light creak as sixteen-year old Dani entered her home with a smile and a breath of releif. The short, blonde haired and blue-eyed girl was finally getting something she and her sister had wanted for a long time.
Freedom.
Their parents were out on business and a 'second honeymoon' and would be gone for a few weeks and, for the first time in her life, she was being left without a babysitter or a relative to watch over her.
With a smile, the blonde sat down on the couch, kicking off her flip-flops and kicking her feet onto the table as she did so. Smiling at the quietness of the home and the weeks of freedom that were awaiting her. She put her hands behind her head and stretched, life without parents seemed like it would be a good one.
Dani wasn't the most childish teen ever but she was far from the most responsible. She was, what some would call, a preppy girl. She took place in as many athletics as possible, volleyball being her current endeavour, however, those athletics did take their toll on the young girl and it sometimes left her being a bit lazy and easily agititated.
However, she wasn't without responsibility. She knew how to take care of herself, for the most part, and was always very responsible when it came to school work and waking up for class, usually taking it on herself to go to bed at a reasonable hour.
Still, nothing would keep her from living life to the fullest, if only for a few weeks now that her parents were out of the house and there were no strict adult watching over her or her sister for the time being.
Yes, life would be good.
