Into the forest (private)
It was a new day, a new city, with new acquaintances and a new apartment to spend the duration of his new case in. Edward Nygma couldn't have been more thrilled with the pay and benefits he was receiving in return for his services. It was a mammoth check, every day, and he was slowly getting closer and closer to tracking down his target: the Hulk.
It was a mere hour in to the case that he deduced the Hulk's location to be within a nearby forest, but a week had passed before he had finally decided to physically pursue the similarly colored, ah, meta-human? Mutant? He wasn't entirely sure what to call it. He had been denied a car since his reform (as apparently, crashing in to banks remained on ones record even after a thorough bout of amnesia), he ended up trudging his way through dirt and grass in his shiny black dress shoes in hopes of spotting a clue as to where the Hulk might be hiding.
After two hours of searching, he had found broken branches here and there and numerous footprints, but nothing that would lead him to Hulk's hide out. It was getting late, and the sun was probably already setting over the hills that Edward could no longer catch sight of. He wiped the muddy sole of his shoe on a nearby tree root and grumbled to himself while glancing around in search of the footpath. Which, apparently, he had long since lost to growing shrubbery and grass. Now, why hadn't his father tossed him into the arms of a boy scout club? At least then, he would be able to figure out which direction would lead him back to the city.
"Smashing," he muttered to himself, running his fingers over his thoroughly wind beaten hair. The walk home was going to be a long one.

It was a total surprise when something BIG and HEAVY landed right in front of him, causing the ground to shake, and he found himself looking at a wide green chest with bulging muscles.
Ed didn't need his detective skills to realize he had found his target... and the target didn't look pleased at all of seeing him.
"Who you be?" the giant snarled down from his height of nearly 9 feet. "Why come to Hulk home?"

Oh, hell. The photos really weren't a comparison for how large and looming the Hulk was in person.
Eddie lurched back, raising his question mark cane in a feeble attempt at defense. "Oh, er," he stumbled over his words, mind still reeling with surprise. "I'm Detective Edward Nygma. I'm afraid, ah, your appearances around this area have caused something of a disturbance." He cleared his throat somewhat awkwardly. "I'd like to...like to speak with you. In town."
If that didn't go over well, he was fully prepared to turn on his heel and run manically in whatever direction happened to get him the furthest distance away from the Hulk. Really, he didn't want to chance being hit by those fists.

He glared at the puny man before him.

Edward raised his hands in hopes of placating the Hulk.
"That isn't the case. Really. They have no desire to hurt you." They probably did, but Hulk didn't need to know that. "And I'm not sure I could hurt you even if I wanted to."
He took a step back, just in case.
"Come on, now. Just a quick chat. No chains or anything of that fashion."

Hulk hesitated a few moments, watching Eddie suspiciously.
Then the giant took a decision and grunted "We chat but at Hulk home! Come with Hulk!"

Edward glanced around for a moment, but eventually smiled tentatively and obliged, approaching cautiously.
"Well then. Lead the way."

But "leading the way" wasn't in Hulk's plans... with a huff, the colossus bent and scooped Eddie up on one bulging arm, cradling the man like an infant; then, the green guy leaped off, his jump carrying him many yards high into the air.

Eddie would have yelped were he less conscious of how embarrassing eliciting such a sound would be. He instead gritted his teeth and stared, wide-eyed, at the Hulk as they sailed through the air.
"T-this isn't necessary!" he protested over the rushing wind. "I can walk!"

Hulk snorted, "Little ones too weak and slow!"
He landed onto a big boulder, only to leap again to the top of a tree, and from there he did another mighty jump upand forward toward the depth of the forest.
