Maxwell Powell was usually called Max or just sir when he was called anything at all which was rare as he lived in an renovated farmhouse on a large parcel of land that he owned and his nearest neighbours other than his horses, a wolf pack and a couple of bears were five miles away as the crow flies and more by road, He had agreed to take care of his neice while her parents were on vacation which was why he was at the airport wishing he could shoot someone or at least smoke to pass the time, as he could do neither at the moment he kept his six and a half muscular frame in the chair, ran a hand through his short sandy hair and fixed hazel eyes on where his little neice would come out of.

Sandy was 9 years old and a typical city girl. Her parents wanted to spent some time alone, because to be franc, Sandy was a spoiled brat. Her father had a good job and so money was no problem. As her parents had told her she would spent her summer with uncle Maxwell, she made a temper tantrum. But against all cries and yells, her parents stayed strict this time.
She took the plane alone and had arrived now. A flight attendant brought her out.

There she was, a little 9 year old girl. She had shoulderlong brown hair, grey blue eyes and was rather short for her age. She was wearing a pair of overalls and some sneakers. Now she was looking rather grumpily around trying to figure out where this uncle of hers was.

Max spied the little girl with the arttendant and got up, he made his way easily through the busy crowd as they instinctively moved out of the big mans way, He fished out his ID and showed it to the Attendant "Max Powell, I'm here for my neice Sandy." He said calmly.

Sandy looked at him. He was big and muscular and resembled her father. "So you're my uncle? Did you brought something with you for me?" instead of saying hello or greeting her uncle the little monkey asked for a present. She looked at him demandingly.

"I am indeed your uncle." He said frowning and taking her by the hand "A atitude adjustment if your not careful, now how about Hello uncle Max and a polite goodbye for the nice lady." He said sharply.

Sandy frowned. "I don't know you so I don't need a hello and I won't say goodbye to her because she didn't gave me cookies." the lady looked at Max. "She already got two and more would be bad for her stomach as she didn't even eat her plate." she tried to justify. "It tasted like shit!" she pouted tugging on her uncle.

"Perfectly understandable." Max said turning the little girl round and swatting her "You will mind your manners Sandy starting now." He told her sternly "Thank you for looking after her miss." He said to the attendant.

Sandy yelped. In fact she never experienced any swats nor punishments from her parents. She was a little surprised but then looked up very unfriendly. "You can´t do that to me!" she replied.
The lady had to chuckle and smiled at Maxwell. "At your service." and she went off.

"I just did." Max remarked "I have permission to punish you as I see fit, I even have it in writing from yopur parents in case there is any doubt." He told her "Do you have anything to collect or just your carry on?" He asked picking the case up with his free hand.

"I just have that we can go." she growled and still held her uncle´s hand, it felt firm and rough. "Do you have a car or do we have to ride on pigs back?" she snickered and went out with her uncle.
