Default School System 3.0

There are three schools in the town, an elementary, a middle school, and a high school. The elementary school runs from grades kindergarten through fifth The middle school runs from grades sixth through eight. The high school is for grades nine through 12.

The elementary school is, contrary to what we have said in the past, only in one section. Schools were, in the past, divided into two sections for humans and kemonomimis, but reform swept in and such a thing no longer exists and hasn't in this or the previous generation. Mimis and humans go to school with each other from the very beginning. This is because many parents and politicians feel this will develop ill relations between kemonomimis and humans from as early as kindergarten. While differences may be perceived by one group or another, each group will be treated as normal by the teachers, staff, and the general help so as to show a living example of just because you have tails and ears, you are not different. There mascot is a hummingbird; colors are green and yellow.

Middle school is integrated just like the elementary school. It works like a magnet academy where you get high school credit if you start taking the more advanced classes. Fourth graders only take general classes. There are no aptitude tests until sixth grade, where you will take an aptitude test for math as seventh grade math class starts to branch out from there. Fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth graders may select one elective each semester. These include things like keyboarding, wood shop, band, orchestra, and other reasonable suggestions. Their mascot is an eagle; colors are blue and white.

The Kedalgrove High School is one of the best in the country, continually ranking in at the top twenty of all establishments. High school students have a wide range of electives available to them, as well as varying difficulty tracks of courses. For instance there are honors or AP classes that a student can take. The school colors are black, white, and red and their mascot is a red and black phoenix. As for sports, the Kedalgrove Blazing Phoenix sports teams are often one of the top contenders for district (essentially the same as state) champions.

The adults of the household have a lot of experience with children, to say the least. They are, in fact, they are judges of what a child can actually do. With the padding one's schedule with easy classes to ensure good grades results in a new schedule being selected for the student without the students input by his or her loving guardians. As noted in the household guidelines, good grades, literally, pay. Whereas as getting F's make sitting difficult. It was quickly noted that children, given such a framework, will often take the easiest route to money. Therefore advanced classes pay more for good grades. If a student is having difficulty with a class, help is always available. The Fausts would rather see a kid get a C in a difficult class where they learn something then breezed through an easy class for an A. Even if money is out of the question, in the interests of fairness and consistency, they will ensure that the child is rewarded for his or her hard work in some fashion.

Uniforms: There will be uniforms and they will be worn by everyone from elementary to high school. Each school level with have their own different, unique uniform. Trim will be based on the school others and customization is possible within reason, but has to be approved by James (who just so happens to be a teacher at the high school). Characters can have the choice of which uniform they want to wear, such as girls having the option of pants.

Pictures will come at a later date.
