An archangel's wrath: Vivienne
Yes it was true...Castiel was conversing with the king of hell to open purgatory. He was deceiving his friends and brothers in order to restore heaven or at least attempt to. Walking through the warehouse Crowley and Castiel were meeting in he sighed. He didn't enjoy this but he was desperate. "Crowley how many more steps are th-" he stopped in the mods of his sentence suddenly, eyes widening "No..." it couldn't be "The blood drained from Cas's face when he felt a presence that he never thought he would feel again. "G-Gabriel? "

"What gave me away?" The dry voice came from behind Castiel as his elder brother leaned against the wall behind him, one eyebrow raised in curiosity. His expression otherwise was unreadable, though his crossed arms perhaps gave away some of the disapproval simmering beneath his easygoing demeanor.
Gabriel had been hoping to reconnect with his baby bro after the Apocalypse was canceled and he had been raised from the dead for his sacrifice for humanity. This isn't the way he'd planned for it to go down.

Crowley saw Gabriwl and was gone. There was no way hw was staying in the same room with a pissed archangel.
Castiel slowly turned around "Brother...I thought you were...you were" he couldn't bring himself to say it, tears pricking at the corners of his eyes "How did you come back?"

Gabriel waved away his question, not in the mood for a Q and A on his end. No, Castiel was gonna be the one defending himself, or his end would be in serious trouble. "That's a good question, but I'll give you a better one." He stood up properly and asked, "why the Hell are you working for, well, Hell?" Hopefully this wasn't what it looked like, but that demon's presence had been pretty damning - pun fully intended.

Cas swallowed deeply, he knew he was in a lot of trouble. So in a last feigned attempt he pretended he had no idea what Gabriel was talking about "Don't be absurd" Castiel said, straightening up "I-i'm not working with hell" he prayed that his big brother would buy it.

"Oh, you weren't?" Gabriel asked, not missing the little tell in his brother's words and actions. Castiel had never been a very good liar. At least he wasn't working for that slimy demon scuzzbag. Still, was it much better that Castiel had chosen to work with him instead? That just left the archangel with more questions than before. "What were you planning then? Take on the King of Hell by yourself?" He snorted at the ridiculousness of a lone angel attempting that feat.

"Yes...but let us not dwell on this brother" he said quickly "You are alive, that is all that matters" and he meant that. His transgretions didn't matter in comparison to Gabriel coming back. Well at least not in Castiel's mind

"Woah, woah, woah," Gabriel put a hand up to stop Castiel from talking further. "You're telling me you seriously thought you could just show up, call out Crowley, and kill him?" He had been willing to go along with the charade up to a point, humoring his little brother to see how deep a hole he would dig for himself. But this? This was almost funny with how absurd it was. And in a way, he was giving Castiel his last chance to come clean.

"No I mean...yes...I...I have taken on Crowley before..." The younger winced internally, this was getting him nowhere he wanted to go. "I'm strong enough brother" he decided to keep with his lie. "Crowley can't hurt me, we made a dea-" Castiel's blood went cold. He had just admitted to making a deal with the king of hell. Oh how he wished the earth would split open and swallow him whole in this moment. He was in deep, deep trouble.

The quasi-amused smile playing at Gabriel's lips at this magnificent failure evaporated all at once when he caught that one impossible word. "Deal?" He finished for Castiel, staring at him in utter disbelief. His mouth fell open and amber eyes blinked once, twice before he asked, "you made a deal with the King of friggin' Hell!?" He took a few steps toward the angel, all good humor aside.
