Age: 13 years

Personality and appearance

Appearance: Melanie, though 13 years of age she could easily pass a bit younger, like her Brother Samuel, was the result of a premature birth and low weight gain. so as she got older she still remained smaller stature than many in her own age group. A pretty young girl with fine features, hazle eyes, her dress sense was wide and varied, she had a good selection of outfits, ideas she had got from her teen-girl mag subscription, or out shopping where something caught her eye, she usually could convince daddy that she needed something, maybe not all the time. but she would always try.
Melanie had recently started using makeup, but only sparingly. a lot like her Mom. Not that her dad would let her use too much anyway, and if she did push the limits with what outfit she wore or makeup, she would always hear i. Sometimes when she didn't get her way Melanie would just brood on how unfair it was, and how Adults/Daddy can be soooo, well old.

Like many teens her age she liked spending time chatting with friends on her cell phone or Facebook, though she felt her Father was being a bit overprotective in monitoring her computer and cellphone use, Melanie did reasonably well in her studies except new maths which was not her strong point though excelled in other subjects like art and some sport like Netball, actually she had proven herself with her Coach, she had been asked if she could help coach the Junior Teams, which she did. After, or before he own game. She had also been thinking about Jujitsu classes every Monday after School, which one of her friends from School did, and from what she was saying, it sure sounded like fun.

Though Melanie loved to eat she just never really put on weight where it could be a problem which was she knew was an envy of some of her friends, Every Tuesday and Thursday 4 - 5:30 was Netball practice with her game most Saturday, which she loved. She had recently been trying to convince her dad that she go home with one of her friends after the game but he always insisted on picking her up. just another way of Daddy being his usual overprotective self she thought to herself.
Being so young when her Mom died had an effect on her as they were quite close even at 9 years, for a while, young Melanie resisted the counseling but she knew her Father loved her. eventually agreeing and went through a number of sessions which helped her with the emotional loss of losing a Parent.
Melanie was similar to her brother Samuel, enjoying the Family time of board games and crafts activities, as there was a gap between ages, though she loved her brother she did find him annoying at times, especially when he wanted something when she was on her computer or phone chatting with friends.

She had also become quite talented at drawing and painting and had had even painted her own bedroom, even her dresser, and wardrobe and not missed out on her artistic flair which had combinations in colors of purple and pink which were her favorite. another of her talents was music and had been taking guitar lessons for a while now and was getting better and better, Melanie also was a bit of a bookworm as well and on a really wet day she would happily lay on her bed read reading a novel on teen adventures, or Harry Potter, and had read every book that came out.
Though a sweet child and relatively well behaved, she did on occasion push the limit which would usually mean time over daddy's lap, or loss of privileges, like no TV, Computer time. and as she was now a teen, the rebellious spirit was starting to show it's ugly head more often, where answering back, or even a swear word would, as she innocently proclaimed was an accident, or she was just so annoyed or angry she would let loose without thinking of the consequences. The results were never pleasant.
