Living with Blaine (for Cleverfox)
Will Vicar, sat peacefully in his bed late one night, reading the evening news as he sipped a small cup of tea. It had been a long day for the man, in terms of tidying the house and shopping for goods, so he was glad to finally get some time to relax. He did however, find it hard to do so with a storm raging heavily outside, rain battering down hard on his windows. As he tried to block out the noise, he began to hear a scratching sound at his front door. Knowing it couldn't be the storm, Will got out of bed and slowly made his way to the door, opening it up and looking out into the night to see what had been making the noise.

Re: Living with Blaine (for Cleverfox)
The shivering little creature that looked up at the man as he answered the door was truly an odd sight, not really a girl but not really an animal either, she was sort of a mixture between the two. Large blue eyes peered out from a fringe of damp white hair but of course the most striking thing about her appearance had to be the pair of large white fox ears that poked from her somewhat unruly hair and the bushy tail that was hanging limply behind her. Blaine sort of stepped back when the door was opened because although she'd been trying to get someone's attention she found that her courage failed her once she actually accomplished that.

Re: Living with Blaine (for Cleverfox)
Will looked down, and saw the small girl standing below him, looking at the floor in shyness. He was suprised that the little neko had made it so far out here on her own, but right now that wasn't his main concern, first he had to see if he could help. Slowly, so as not to frighten the girl, he knelt down and looked into her eyes, smiling kindly at her. "Hello there" he said softly, "are you alright?".

Re: Living with Blaine (for Cleverfox)
Blaine looked at the man as he knelt in front of her and spoke, the little girl sort of wringing her shirt as she started to reply to him. "Um, I'm..." her words were halted however as there was a loud clap of thunder that made her jump, the little girl issuing a yelp even as she started to tremble. She wanted to tell him that no, she wasn't alright and that she was terribly afraid of thunder but when she opened her mouth the words wouldn't come. Blaine's ears pressed even more firmly against her head as she looked up at the man but her shyness prevented her from saying anything else.

Re: Living with Blaine (for Cleverfox)
Will saw how frightened the small child was of the thunder, watching her little ears pin ridgidly to her head. He felt sympathy for the girl, as she seemed all alone on such a dark, dangerous night. Cautiously, he held out his hand and stood up, continuing to smile at the little neko as he did. "Come inside child" he said happily, "let's get you nice and warm".

Re: Living with Blaine (for Cleverfox)
Blaine was somewhat cautious when the man held his hand out to her but at that instant another loud clap of thunder sounded, a flash of lightning lighting up the sky and that was all that it took for the little girl to make her decision. Yelping once again in fright she grabbed his hand and all but pulled him into his own house, her small form shivering once she was inside. Blaine released his hand almost immediately, taking a few steps back and bumping into a table as she did so, her eyes growing slightly wider than usual as she whispered, "Sorry... didn't mean to."

Re: Living with Blaine (for Cleverfox)
Will was suprised when he was tugged into his house by the small neko, watching as the door slammed behind him. While she wasn't perticularly strong, she had caught him off guard with her sudden burst of fear. However, he noticed that she was still afraind of him, as she retained her low whisper whenever she spoke to him, stuttering slightly. "Hey now" he said, kneeling down and putting a hand on her shoulder. "You don't need to apologise to me, you haven't done anything wrong".

Re: Living with Blaine (for Cleverfox)
Normally Blaine wasn't the take charge type of child but when she once again heard the loud crash of thunder and saw the lightning that lit up the sky the little kit had a sudden burst of adrenaline that helped her to pull the man along. She released him almost immediately once they were inside the relative safety of the house and then she backed away, bumping a table and almost managing to knock the contents to the floor, which was the reason for the apology that she offered. She sort of blushed when he knelt in front of her and told her that she didn't need to apologize because she hadn't done anything. Blaine wasn't so sure about that since she had sort of disturbed him and she was sort of dripping water all over the floor but she simply nodded and didn't say anything in response to what were meant to be soothing words even though she wasn't really accustomed to them. Her blue eyes went to the hand that he had placed on her shoulder, looking a little confused, but she didn't try to pull away from him.

Re: Living with Blaine (for Cleverfox)
Will noticed how the small girl was still looking at the floor, clearly anxious to be around him. He knew that there had to be something that he could do to help the child, even if it was something very small. Carefully, he stood up and walked over to his armchair, sitting down and pulling a towel off of it. "Come and sit in my lap sweetheart" he said, patting his lap and smiling at her, "let's get you nice and dry".

Re: Living with Blaine (for Cleverfox)
Blaine kept her eyes focused on the man as he walked over to an armchair across the room and sat down, the little kit tilting her head to the side as he patted his lap and told her to come and sit so that he could get her dry. She was still wary however the prospect of being dry was appealing and so after a couple of moments of thought Blaine slowly walked over to him, her large ears pressed against her head and her tail tucked between her legs. "Are you nice?" she asked in a shy tone of voice, not sure why she asked that and actually surprising herself with the question.
