[Little Sayuri]

It was a warm summer day as Kenji walked through the streets, on the way to his home. His mother had told him to get some groceries for her because she was sick and so he went out to do as he was told. The store was crowded and it took him some time since he got everything that he wanted, being only a 9 year old, he wasn’t too big and a lot of people ignored him or didn’t even notice him as they ran into him. Besides that, he had to ask a few times for help because he couldn’t reach a few things, which frustrated him as well.
As he finally paid, he started to walk home. The bag that he carried wasn’t too heavy and as he saw the house where he and his mother lived, he got into a better mood, not angry anymore because of the stupid people in the stupid store. Kenji unlocked the door and walked into the flat. „Mom, I’m home!“, he called and walked into the kitchen. He put the bag on a kitchen stool and looked around. No answer. Maybe she was sleeping? Curiously, he started searching for his mother and went into the living room. His eyes got wide.

On the floor was his mother, her eyes were open and her look empty, a wound could be seen on her head, that was bleeding. „MOM!!!“, he called desperately but there was no answer from her. Quickly, he called the ambulance, not sure what happened. They came within minutes. „What happened here?“, one of the men asked him. „I don’t know! I wasn’t at home as this happened!“, he answered, his voice thick with tears now. „Is she alright?“ The question was stupid, he knew it, she didn’t look like she was alright, but maybe he was wrong. He hoped that he was wrong, but the man from the ambulance looked at him with a gaze that showed him that he was right. „Did you call the police already?“, he asked, knowing that the boy knew the answer. Kenji shook his head. „You should do it. It looks like somebody broke in here“, the man said to him.

As he looked back to his mother, tears started to form in his eyes and he noticed that the whole livingroom looked indeed like somebody broke in and searched for something. He didn’t see it before because his mother was more important. „I will call the police, alright?“, the man asked and Kenji nodded mechanically, not really listening to the man. His mother was dead. What would happen now with him?
After the police arrived and checked everything, they confirmed that it must have been a thief who surprised his mother and killed her because she tried to scare him away.


„Do you know where your father is?“, a police officer asked. „No…“, Kenji answered meekly. He was still not able to believe what just had happened and wished he didn’t go away like his mother wanted him to. „Do you know who your father is?“, the officer asked, interupting his thoughts. „Yes…“, he whispered and pointed at a picture. It showed his mother as she was a teenager with a guy that had blonde hair and golden eyes. She smiled into the camera and seemed to be happy. „That is Yuki Eiri!“, one of the men said and Kenji looked up at him. „You…you know him?“, he asked surprised. „Yes. We will contact him.“, the man said. The boy looked at him for a moment and nodded. „Okay…“, he whispered.

Shuichi woke up from a noise that was familar to him, he just didn’t know what it was at the first moment. Slowly he opened the eyes, sat up and looked around, searching for it. He noticed that it was Hiro who tried to call him on the cellphone. With a yawn, Shuichi picked the call up. „Hiro, what is it?“, he asked with another yawn. „Where are you?! We have a meeting in 5 minutes!“, his best friend asked annoyed. „How late is it?“, Shuichi asked unsure. „It’s 9:55! Don’t tell me you overslept!“ Shuichi sighed. Fuck. The meeting, he had forgotten to set the alarm… Shit!
„I did…“ „SHUICHI!!!“ „I’m sorry, I’m on my way okay?! I’ll ask Yuki if he can drive me!“, Shuichi promised and hung up.

He quickly jumped out of the bed and into the bathroom, where he just bruhed his teeth. Then, he started to dress and searched for his lover. Even if he wasn’t sure if Yuki would drive him to the meeting, he had to ask him. He was faster with the car and Yuki would never let him drive his car, not even if his life would depend on it, so he had to ask him.

It has been a bit since they met and since Shuichi fell in love with him. He knew it the second they saw each other in the park that they had a connection, but it took a lot of time for Yuki to admit that too, that was at least how Shuichi saw it. He was happy that he did so after a bit of time though and that they were still living together was a good sign in his opinion.
„Yuki?! Are you there?!“, he asked and jumped through the flat while he was putting on his second sock. „I need your help!“

The twenty-seven year old blond was already awake and in his office room.The male was already dressed for the day as well,a simple white shirt and black pants,he was even with his glasses but only because he was editing his novel chapters on his laptop next to a mug of coffee.
It was like a morning routine,a habit of his.Since his partner was always so very lively,it would be hard to focus on work having a lack of silence in the house so in the mornings Yukio would end up waking up first and editing his work,writing more chapters if possible.

Unfortunately,this morning he didn't get much of that needed peace and quiet.As he was soon disturbed by the loud conversation that the younger male was having in the other room.Eiri wasn't even surprised that the other overslept,that was certainly not a first.Yukio sighed deeply and stood,taking his mug of coffee with him as he walked into the hallway to see what Shuichi wanted. Typically he only greeted him with a grown on his face. "What is it?"

Shuichi finally managed to put on his second sock and stood in front of Yuki. "Yuki darling, I need your help!", he said with shining eyes and a begging look. "I am late and we have an important meeting, can you drive me? It would be faster and not sooo late and I promise you I won't disturb you today, the meeting will at least go 3 hours or so and after that I have to practice with the band and so you will have the flat all silent like you want it", he said, trying to convince him. "Please?"

He knew that Yuki was annoyed because he was so loud often, so he decided that telling him he would be away for a while would make him say 'yes'. And maybe because he loves him and wants to help him? Maybe?
Shuichi suddenly went back to the bedroom because he forgot his cellphone and to put on his shirt, waiting for his lovers answer and hoping that he would drive him and not being so cold to him after all what had happened already this morning!

At first as his partner spoke,the blond haired male merely seemed not amused,even when the other tried to 'sweet talk' him.But Shuichi did have a point,the sooner he got him out of here,the more silence he'd have.And somewhere deep deep inside,it was a bit hard to say 'no' to such pleading.

Yuki sighed once more and as soon as the other finished speaking,he complained in an displeased tone. "Moron,learn to set your alarm clock before going to bed." Mean yet truthful words coming from the blond haired male and yet,he took the last sip of his coffee and when the other went back to the bedroom,Yuki took the mug to the kitchen and without saying anything went to get his black coat.

His actions showed that regardless of everything,he'd simply take him. It only took a few moments for Yukio to put on his shoes and take the car keys. "Hurry up." he rushed the other in his usual tone.

Shuichi happily noticed that he convinced Yuki to drive him. He thought it was impossible to be honest, but more than happy that he managed to do so. "Thank you Yuki honey!", he said in a sweet tone of voice and quickly put on his shoes and his jacket. "I promise you that you will have at least 6 hours of silence!", he said thankfully as they sat in the car.

Then, he stopped talking for a moment, not sure if Yuki would want him to continue talking. Normally he reacted annoyed to something like that and Shuichi thought about asking him more often to drive him, so he would simply remain silent for the time that they drove, thinking that Yuki wouldn't regret taking him with him then.

Once he got dropped off, he turned around and smiled. "Thank you! I love you!", he quickly opened the door again, kissed Yuki on the cheek and went away to find the room where the meeting was.

Eiri almost found it strange and unusual that Shuichi wasn't speaking much in the car,he said next to nothing.It was strange and yet not that bad at the same time.To Yukio,silence was never a bad thing even if sometimes it was a bit awkward and he knew that the pink haired male knew this.

He did not react at all to the other's loving words not the goodbye kiss on his cheek. A simple "Yeah." was his only reply. After his partner left the car,Yukio watched the other walk off with a small smile. Regardless of how annoying and a pain in the butt Shuichi could be at times,the blond did have a soft spot for him just that he's show it very rarely.

Seeing no need to rush home,Yukio took out one more cigarette and smoked it in the car with the window open.

Soon, Shuichi found Hiro and the other men and apologized for being late. „Only by two minutes, that’s alright this time“, the man said. Shuichi looked at Hiro. „I lied to you about the time, because I knew that you would simply roll over again if you would knew that you had a bit more time“, the man grinned. Shuichi first frowned but grinned after a short moment. „Thank you“

Kenji sat in the police station, he was wearing the coat of his mother. The police men first tried to convince him that he should take his own jacket but he made a fuss and they gave it up soon because they pitied him, and because it wasn’t a big deal. Even if it wasn’t cold outside, Kenji felt like it was winter. Everything was so…unreal and he couldn’t forget the look of his mother on the livingroom floor. He closed his eyes and opened them again, shaking his head to get rid of that memory quickly, but it was still there.

The police had found out which agent was working with Yuki Eiri and informed her about the circumstances, and that it was important to reach him. The agent cooperated and gave them the number of Yuki’s cellphone. „Good luck“, she said and hung up. The officer didn’t understand what she meant and started calling Yuki, making sure to take an eye on the boy that seemed to be his son. He had the same golden eyes at least, but dark blue hair like his mother had, and looked around slightly shocked. „That poor boy“, he thought.

He couldn’t even imagine what it must feel like to lose his mother as kid, neither to find her murdered on the floor. It must be horrible and the boy would sure need a therapy, but as he tried to talk with him about that he looked away and ignored him. He would have to talk with his father about it later, when he would escort the boy to him. Suddenly, somebody picked up the phone.

Just as soon as Eiri finished smoking and turned the car keys,he heard his cellphone ringing,he had it in the pocket of his jacket.The blond took it out and looked at the unknown number incoming.Figuring that it's nothing important,he tossed his cellphone on the passenger car seat as he began driving but his cellphone just did not stop ringing.Soon enough it finally got enough on his nerves for Yukio to finally pick it up.

Whatever it was,he'd put an end to it and that's it.Or so he thought.The last thing that the blond haired man could expect was to have a police officer call him and the information that he received just seemed ridiculous. He even stopped his car during the conversation with the officer.It seemed nothing but bullshit but as soon as he heard the name "Aiko" he skipped a beat.Slowly,Eiri began to recall the relationship that he had with a young woman when he was a teen and after he moved,he didn't give her his address,he wanted to run away from everything and after some time when he adjusted to everything he still didn't want to contact her.The fact that his family planned his wedding didn't make anything easier so he decided to forget her.Yuki never knew that the woman was pregnant.

"I...I'll come to the station." the blond said in an emotionless tone,slowly hanging up.It was so hard to believe the truth. He drove to the police station and was greeted by the officer.

"Mr. Uesugi", the officer said and greeted Eiri friendly, knowing his real name from his agent. "Thank you for coming so quickly, we need to talk over a few things. The boy is still a bit shocked, he found his mother murdered on the floor after he came home. I would recommend a therapy to help him dealing with this...experience and the loss of his mother. It would be sure helpful but he refused to talk about it so far, which isn't a big surprise. Maybe you can convince him", he said and lead him to Kenji.

Kenji was still waiting for the officer to come back. He just got informed that they reached his father and that he would pick him up. All the boy could do was to nod and accept this fact, even if he wished this wasn't necessary. He just should have refused to go and get the groceries, she would be still alive then!

Tears started to form in his eyes again and he wiped them away quickly as he heard voices and footsteps. "Kenji? Your father is here", the officer said friendly and the boy looked up to a man that looked like the man from the photography. Unable to say anything right at the moment, he just stared at him and looked a bit helpless and overwhelmed.
