Bonds of Trust {for Jade}
For a time he wasn't sure that this was actually going to happen since his meeting with FBI Special Agent Peter Burke had ended on a less than stellar note but when the Federal Marshal came and attached the tracking anklet things finally started to seem real to him. And that feeling grew exponentially as he was given the clothes to change into, the young man shedding the orange jumpsuit that just did not fit with his fashion tastes in the slightest and putting on the change of clothes that had been given to him. The last thing that he did before leaving was to slick back his hair, at least partially, and then he made his way toward the front door, legitimately this time and not like the last time. Not that he really wanted to think about that since it hadn't ended all that great either.
Looking ahead he watched as the door slid open and as he stepped out his blue eyes shifted to the man that was standing not that far away, locking gazes with the man that he had faced on several previous occasions. And the only man to have ever actually caught him.
Neal Caffrey prided himself on being a jack of all trades and master of all so to have someone that knew him well enough to predict his movements had definitely been a shock. However not one that he didn't think he could use to his advantage, all he had to do was tweak the circumstances a little bit and that was something that he was very good at. Offering up a roguish grin he waved a hand at Peter with a 'devil may care' attitude that he had perfected with time and experience.

(Do you want El to be in it?)
Special Agent Peter Burke had spent three years chasing after Neal Caffrey after he stirred suspicion on his forged bonds and pretty soon he had the young man locked away. Then two years later he gets a call saying that the cocky con artist had escaped, oh he was livid. Three years of his life trying to get Caffrey behind bars had just been wasted....but the strange thing was Neal didn't make himself much of a challenge to find.
Peter found him in the apartment and he definitely had something up his sleeve, asking that if he could Identify something the FBI held as evidence, then Peter would agree to meet up with him in prison. He asked to go in to his custody and at first Peter was more than happy to turn down his suggestion....but three days later he warmed up to the idea and was now stood on the opposite side of the door, raising his head a little as Caffrey revealed himself.
"Ah, ah, ah!" he said hastily, holding up a hand to halt the man where he stood. "Let's see it Caffrey." he stated, referring to the man's anklet.

(I'll leave that one to you, I'm neutral)
Neal gave him a look when Peter held up a hand and asked to see 'it' and of course he had no doubts as to what that 'it' was that the FBI agent was referring to. "Ten seconds out and you already don't trust me," he couldn't help but say as he pulled up the leg of his pants to reveal the lovely tracking anklet that the Federal Marshals had been kind enough to supply him with. "We're off to a very nice start," he couldn't help but say with the same cocky grin plastered on his face as he walked toward the spot where Peter was standing.
"Glad you're seeing things my way after your meeting with the Canadians," he couldn't help but add, amusing himself by tossing out the reason for his new 'handler's' change of heart on the matter of letting him out of prison in order to act on a consultant. He'd known that one would go over well when he'd told Peter what that fiber had been that he'd found on the man's suit and yet he was still amused about the results.

(depends what relationship you'd like Peter and Neal to have, I'm up for anything)
Peter nodded at the anklet. "You do realize Caffrey, that if you run....and I catch you , and you know I will because I've already done it twice-" there was a hint of dark mirth in his tone as he continued but went on to a more serious note with the next thing he said, "You don't only come back here for seven years, you come back here for good." he explained and then smiled a little at Caffrey's next statement.
"Yeah, the Canadians were not happy bunnies." Peter answered and then opened his car door, "Oh and one other thing, Neal." he pointed out before getting in, "You give me sass, you break the rules or circumvent the law in a minor way, I will punish you personally." he explained before sitting down in the drivers seat, letting Neal dwell on that.

(I think I like the mentor type relationship for them like they have in the show)
"Well the second time doesn't really count because I wasn't really trying to run," Neal felt the need to point out to the man, his tone still cocky because, well that was just who he was and it was hard if not outright impossible to break from that. "And I realize what the stakes are but I already told you, I am not gonna run." The topic of conversation moved on at that point to the Canadians and Neal had to smirk when Peter confirmed what he already knew and said that they weren't happy with the fact that the fiber had been identified as the security fiber for their new one hundred dollar bill.
Neal was all set to get into the car when Peter decided to drop a bit of a figurative bomb shell on him and that one actually caught him off guard, which was quite a feat in and of itself considering he as usually unflappable. "Wait... what sort of punishment do you have in mind?" he asked as he got into the car and gazed over at Peter. He wasn't sure that he liked the direction that the conversation had taken and he was sort of hoping to redirect that currently to something that was more in his favor.
A common objective with him.

(alright then )
Peter waited for Neal to get in to the car. He expected the younger man to want to know what sort of punishment Peter had in mind for him and he had nothing against telling him, down to every little embarrassing detail. "Well considering that you asked Neal." he began and then turned on the car engine before pulling out of the parking lot and starting to drive them to the Airport where Diana was waiting for them.
He looked over at the young man as they came across a long standing red light and he shrugged. "Neal, you break a rule, sass me or break the law even in a small way, then I will personally bend you over my knee, pull down your slacks and your boxers, and I will spank you're bare bottom the shade of that traffic light." he explained, pointing a finger to the red traffic light above them. "Hard." he added before the lights changed and he focused on driving again, it felt good to humiliate the young man after he'd done so to him by slipping through his fingers.
(lol poor Neal xD)

The idea of punishments was a bit confusing to the young conman and his mind jumped to a few conclusions but those weren't even remotely close to the actuality of the situation. He turned his blue eyes to Peter when they stopped at the traffic light since it seemed as though the agent was going to give him an answer to the question that he had asked. And oh boy did he give an answer and one that would have had Neal Caffrey, a man that had a tremendous amount of practice keeping a straight face through almost anything, do a spit take had he been drinking something at the time.
As it was he simply gawked at Peter for a moment before he was able to school his features back into his usual mask, one corner of his mouth twitching up into a half grin as he said, "That was a good one Peter, very funny. But you can't actually go through with that... you're an FBI agent, you can't assault me." Neal was pretty sure that he had him with that one and he was starting to regain his cocky demeanor the more he thought about the situation.
(that one got a laugh out of me XD)

Peter actually had to chuckle, "Neal, you're in my custody, think of it like an adoption, meaning if you mess up, be naughty or disrespectful, daddy will spank your bare butt. Daddy being me." he added and then sighed coming across another pair of traffic lights. "God dammit the traffic in this city...." he mumbled and then looked to Neal again. "And something tells me that judging by that grin, you wont be sitting comfortably for much longer." he chuckled.
Finally they made it to the Airport and Peter pulled up, parking the car. "Come on, once we sort through this evidence, I can put you up for somewhere to stay, there's a dingy hotel in your two mile radius." he smiled, clapping his back.

It wouldn't have been a stretch to say that Neal was once again sort of at a loss when Peter decided to compare his current situation with an adoption program though he didn't allow his features to betray him this time. "Pretty sure that's still illegal Peter," he felt the need to point out, his voice calm and controlled even when his handler decided to lose his cool and curse the traffic. "That won't really help the situation," he said, sort of anxious to reach the airport and immediately getting out of the car once they did.
"Sorting evidence, that sounds exciting," he said as he followed along behind Peter, resisting the urge to stop and fight with the anklet that he had yet to grow accustomed to wearing. "And the enjoyment you're getting out of this seems wrong somehow, what did I ever do to you?"

Peter shook his head, "We're in one of those states where it is fully legal Caffrey." he answered and patted his bottom for effect, "So watch your back." he pointed out before hearing what he said about what he ever did to him. He did not need to answer that one and he only turned round to give Neal a firm look before going inside the Airport. "Diana." he greeted, "This is-
"Neal Caffrey, yeah, I've heard of him." Diana answered and looked at Peter, "All we found were spanish story books Peter, they are only worth a couple of bucks on ebay....anyway, would you like a coffee?"
"Uh yeah Decaff." Peter answered, trying to think through why anyone would want a spanish version of snow white and the seven dwarves. "Anything to add Neal?"
