I stopped outside my house and looked up at the window to my parents' room. It was dark, just as it had been for the past week while my parents were away visiting my aunt. Just as well, I thought to myself. It wouldn't exactly go ever well if I had gotten detention while they were home. I sighed. Leo would probably chew me out again. Like it mattered. I had talked my way out of it the last two times, claiming regular scholarly hold-ups, and I would do it again. No problem.

Taking a deep breath, I opened the door and swung my backpack to the ground. "Leo, I'm home!"

My eyes widened as I realized that I wasn't going to get out of this one. Panicked, I started up the stairs to my room, but halfway through I suddenly stopped. Why was I doing this? Leo wasn't that much older than me, and I didn't really need a babysitter at all. I didn't have to listen to him! Resolute in my rebellion, I continued up the stairs to my room, but once there, just sat on the bed and waited for him to come in.

Reluctantly, and without giving him the satisfaction of a, "Yes, sir," I began to unbutton and pull down my pants. I did it ever-so-slowly, trying to forestall the spanking as long as I possibly could. If Dad were here, he'd smack me for dawdling and then pull them down himself, but Leo wasn't Dad, and I was definitely going to take advantage of that.
