As you were already told in the other thread, its done in batches and not instananeous.

Nor is it based off a specific amount of pictures, if you are going to be promoted or recieve a gallery in the next round of promotions (Which will likely happen next month) then you'll often know ahead of time or be told at the time.
If you don't make it or are marginal, then you'll be informed and told whats needed to qualify for the next round.
