Trail Captain's Troubles

Keith Crawford who had black hair and light brown eyes wearing a blue shirt over a brown jacket and black pants with matching shoes was heading towards the Lush Jungle of Akala Island to look for the Trial Captian Mallow. The Alola Pokemon League Commission has been receiving a lot of complaints of one of the trial captains and has ordered Keith to go and see what is the reason behind all of this.

Mallow was sitting on a picnic blanket with a small fire ring made out of rocks in front of her. She clicks a match to start the fire and places a small holder and a pot to start boiling some water. One of her volunteers told her someone was coming to try her challenge, so she needs to prepare everything. The smaller girl strolls over to the various hiding places letting her Steenee watch the boiling pot. The pokemon looked up at the man with wide eyes before it frantically looked around for her trainer, she’s the one who needs to start this challenge! Hearing the frantic cries, Mallow runs back before she awkwardly waves at the man “uhh…hey, sorry about that, usually I’m not late”

As Keith approaches the area he first notices A Steenee looking around for something standing next to a boiling pot and a fire. "I'm guessing your someone's Pokemon." He thought out loud. He hears some rustling and his hand quickly grips one of the Pokeballs on his waist but calms down as he sees the girl he has been looking for waving and running up to him. "My name is Keith please to meet you and I take it, you are the Trial Captain Mallow, correct?" Keith introduces himself. "I have something to discuss with you, is there someplace we can talk in private." He asks as he didn't want anyone else to hear or see the news he was going to give to her.

“the one and only! So, for your trial, it’s all about making the perfect recipe. First, you’re going to need-“ but she was cut off by Keith speaking. She still didn’t realize he was part of the Alola pokemon league commission, so she looked at him like he had two heads. “weird request, but okay?” she said raising an eyebrow. She gave a quick look to Steenee who just shrugged her shoulders. “follow me and stay close, there’s wild pokemon all around”. She pushes back thick branches and leaves as large as the girl before they come across a peaceful waterfall. She sits on one of the stray rocks crossing her arms “so, what can I help you with?”

He said as they come across some rocks as she sits down and questions him. "My name is Keith Crawford and I am A agent of the Alola Pokemon League Commission and it has come to attention that there has been a large number of trainers have been reporting negative comments about Trial Captain of Akala Island's Lush Jungle that being you and I've been sent to see what is the issue of this, to punish those involve and to resolve it for as long as it take me." Keith introduced and fully explained the reason of his arrival.

“Thanks! Sometimes I come here just to relax after a hard trial. It’s upsetting to see a trainer fail, but that’s the life of a trial captain. You’ll have your ups and downs, and even if they say don’t get too attached, I can’t help myself!” she says with a beaming smile before the man said his reason for being here. The once bright smile suddenly melted into an awkward gaze “maybe I shouldn’t have told you that…” she mutters. “I don’t know why I’d get negative responses. Sure, my trial isn’t as creative as the others, but learning how to make the perfect recipe is just like battling with the perfect team! Are my hiding places too random? Is it because I use the same recipe again and again just to summon the totem pokemon with the simple snapping of a ginger root? Is it because some of the trainers came out with ticks and bug bites, because it’s a jungle, what are you going to expect!” she stood up passionate about her work

As Keith listens to Mallow list out all possible reasons he couldn't help but notice how many she lists until he speaks up."Wow, she is really passionate about her position. I need to find the issue for the cause of all the reports." "Well, I can believe maybe it can be the ticks and bug bites issue and creativity issue but I not sure. I didn't get a chance to look at the reports that were filed. "Here a question. How much do the trainers have fun during battle? Because if a challenge is too easy for them or they not have as much energy then that may also be a reason because I can see you very passionate about your work." Keith commented.

Mallow sighed a little when she heard him speak. She’d at least expect him to glance at the report, but maybe it’s one of his techniques to get her to squeal. Tell a little more then what’s actually written down. Crossing her legs, she looks over at the man “they’re fighting a Totem pokemon, there’s only so much fun you can have. My baby refuses to call for reinforcements, so it’s not that hard, but it’s a problem I’m working on?” she says sheepishly “at least it’s not that!”

"Well if there's not anything else to tell me then I guess I will tell you what the Pokemon League Commission decided." He began pulling out an offical letter to be read to Mallow before glancing up at the girl as if saying if there's anything you want to tell me now is the time. "The first is that you are now to be put on probation and to be sentenced to a punishment already pre-decided. Second, during your probation sentence, I am to watch all of your trials from this point until the end of your sentence, Should I see you misbehaving I am to punish you the same way that you are about to receive." He reads off the letter wanting the information to sink in for the girl.

Her face flushed when she saw the letter being pulled out and her eyes grazed over the first sentences. “probation…wait, you can’t do that! This is my trial and I’ll conduct it any way I want!” she hissed half commenting to what he’s saying and half taking to the paper. Once she’s done reading, she shoots up crossing her arms “and how long is this probation process and what is my punishment? Oh, and why isn’t the other trial captains being punished? You should see what Lana does lying to everyone who comes in. O-Oh, and Acerola totally knows there’s a Mimikyu in that abandoned store. She’s risking the life of an unexperienced trainer by sending them in alone, but nooooooooooo. Your league thinks I’m in the wrong for making soup with my challengers? By all means then, you should do whatever you want” she hissed. She could be quite the brat when she wants to be, but as stated before, she’s passionate about her work.
