Blind date? (f/m, open to all--please join me >w<)

This is my first attempt at an RP in a long while >.< Forgive me if I can't make paragraph-posts all the time--but I will try, believe me! ~Lil

Marie sat in the coffee shop, looking out the window at the streetlights. Their glow was blurred and distorted by the droplets on the pane, and she sighed sadly, stirring her latte which was, by now, getting lukewarm. She'd been waiting half an hour for the blind date her friend had set up for her... Had she been stood up?

Looking around at the various goings-on of the little shop owned by her aunt Louise, Marie pushed her glasses up on her small nose and picked up another éclair from the stack at the center of the table. The girls at school must have been right--it seemed as if she'd never get a date, no matter how hard she tried! Maybe this time it'd be different--maybe.

She scooted up to the small table, pulled out The Life and Times of Renoir, and began to read quietly, nibbling on the corner of the éclair.

Kiv tripped into the shop, landing face first on the floor, his glasses dashing across the floor. His three fantasy novels still clutched in his hands, he crawled along the ground, searching for his glasses, his fox tail waving behind him. "Oh no, not again!" he whimpered. "Where'd they go! I can't see a thing without them. He crawled around like a newborn kit with its eyes still frozen closed as he looked for them.

Marie snapped the book shut and slid it under the table next to her little pink Hermes bag. The 15-year-old got up and did an about-face, spotting the fox. "Well there you are, darling. It's about time..."

She scooped up the books and retrieved Kiv's glasses. "And who might you be? Liza was right when she said you were cute." Marie brushed a strand of short black hair behind one ear, smiling gently.

The fox blushed and took his glasses back. "I... thank you..." He blushed and smiled, standing up. "My name? Oh, uh, right... m my name is uh... Kiv... thank you..." He smiled and waved his tail around a little bit.

(Just wondering, would you like to join my new RP? It's called War isn't hell, but it's still a bitch and I just started it... if not, that's okay.)

"Nice to meet you. I'm Marie, the resident coffee-hound and art nerd..." She held out the fantasy novels. "I can see you're into reading?" Grinning, she eyed her date quickly--dark hair, dark eyes, pretty skinny and with the most adorable little ears and tail!! "You want me to buy you something? Our table's right over there..." Marie nodded towards it.

Kiv blushed again. "Th-that's okay... I brought my own money, I... I would feel bad making you pay for anything." He smiled at her invitingly, blushing even darker. "And... it's not really for reading, more like ideas. Except this one." He held up one. "This one is mine..." He pointed to the author name.

"Oh, how cool!! I'm totally into fantasy too, but I'm more of the...fairy type..." Marie giggled and blushed lightly. "And I love to treat, so it's no biggie..." She sat down at the table. "I'm just happy to have someone I already have so much in common with!"

Smiling, Kive sat down across from her. "I'm glad too... makes it that much easier for me to avoid messing this up."
