A Bigger Disciplinarian

Unar was one of the giants which dwelled among the great lands. Far out, and hidden where most humans dared not to go. Most of his kind were a cruel lot. Who loved to gobble up anyone or anything that crossed his path. However, Uthar didn't like the idea of such vile and savage behavior. Despite the fact he had a temper, which was common for a giant, he usually did his best to not start fights, and ate fruits and maybe a deer ot two when he was really hungry. Unlike his fellow giantd who ate all sorts of things. Including humans. Today was Wednesday and he decided to head out to get fish to cook for supper.

In the rural end of England was an orphanage, a mean and sad orphanage for boys. Jason was an eight year old boy, his parents died when he was a baby, and he hated the orphanage with a passion. Every night he prayed for a loving Mother or Father to look after him. "I don't even mind if they smack my bottom, Lord...I just want a Mummy or a Daddy..." he explained, finishing his prayers and then he got into bed, sadness filling him. He wished that he could have someone to care for him like so many children of England, or all over the world.

Uthar was a speacial giant. He could hear very well. In fact, anytime a child wished for something with all their heart he would hear it, and of course grant it. So when he heard this poor childs wish for a family he decided to grant it. He headed for rural England to go get the lad. He had always wanted a kid. Perhaps he could take in the boy.

Jason heard the matron of the orphanage walk about, yelling at all the boys as she walked up and down the hall yelling at them if they made only the slightest noise. He sighed and laid his head down on the pillow, tears in his eyes. Another night he would be crying himself to sleep because he was just so desperately lonely.

Uthar heard the yelling and frowned. He hated to see that there were such cruel people in the world. Cruel enough to be mean to someone smaller and younger than them. However, he didn't have enough time to scoop them all up. He crept to the window and reached in to scoop up the boy. As gently as he could through the open window before putting him in his large bag where he knew he'd be safe and warm too. Before running off into the night, back to his home.

Jason was fast asleep by the time he was grabbed by a huge hand. He had no idea what was going on. When he did wake up, it was all dark, but it was warm, not icy cold like it was at the orphanage, "Where am I?" he squeaked, trying to stand up. It was pretty hard to do, since it felt like the floor was moving. "Whoa!" he fell over and then grunted, what was going on?!

Uthar did his best to not move in a way that would make the ride for the orphan to bumpy. Which could cause him to get bruised, so he went at a steady and easy pace. Before finally arriving at his home, where he quickly shut the door and sit the sack down before untying it.

Jason peered up when there was a sudden burst of light and he looked up to see a face peering down at him, such a large face. His eyes widened and he stared up not in fear but in awe. "Who are you?" he asked, just peering up at him and blinking his big blue eyes. Was this....big man going to cause him harm?

Uthar opened the sack and stared down at those curious little eyes with his big, but gentle ones,"I am Uthar." He introduced himself to the boy,"You have no cause for alarm. I am not going to hurt you..What's your name?"

Jason listened as the giant man introduced himself. "Um...I'm Jason." the little boy answered, still not very afraid, he looked very curious though. He reached out an opened hand and touched the much bigger nose, his eyes wide with wonder. "Where am I ...Mr Uthar?" he asked curiously and looked into the bigger eyes.
