Unwilling (Cleverfox)
David Valencia checked his watch with an irritated sigh, time to get this over with. He left the billiards room to his friends shouts of 'walking to the gallows' and that these were his last moments as a 'free man'. It didn't help his mood in the slightest. At a towering 6' 6" the Alpha wolf stood head and shoulders over most of the people he met, even some of the other Alpha's he'd spent time around.
He was handsome enough, the man supposed of himself. Dark blue eyes and brown hair, tanned skin. He'd played sports as a young man and still indulged himself with them to this day. Not anymore, as far as his friends were concerned. Now he was to be shackled to some simpering Omega and forced to care for Pups until he was too old to be useful and was sent into retirement.
The very thought itched and ate at his insides. For all that the man had been taught his entire life that his life was his own, that he needed to take charge of himself, of his family, of his Pack; that didn't seem to get him out of marrying a total stranger.
Well not a total stranger, he'd heard things of course. This Omega was sweet, of course. Polite and docile, virginal but wanting to hop right onto his knot. The Omega would simper at him, fear his slightest change in mood, and fall over backwards to do anything for him.
It was what you were supposed to say about any Omega about to be married, but it made the man sick with rage. He didn't want a docile mate to sit and look at him with glassy eyes, to crawl away from his upturned hand and grovel at his feet for forgiveness.
He wanted someone with a spark. Intelligent and fiery. Obedient of course, he'd accept nothing less. But someone he could talk to about his worries and lay down with together like they both wanted it. No fear.
As David made his way to the priest, nodding and waving at the band to begin, he hoped against hope that whatever else was in those eyes when he looked into them for the first time he'd see it.
A spark.

Camden Lunaris, more commonly known as Cam or Cami, had spent the past half hour pacing back and forth in the room where he was waiting for his wedding. This was supposed to be a happy day and that it might have been were it not for the fact that he was to be wed to a complete stranger. Sure he'd heard things about this Alpha, had been told that this was a fine match and that he should be happy.
Should be and were happened to be two very different things.
The Omega was small and slender, with blonde hair and fiery green eyes that often showed his displeasure even when he was trying to be dutiful and not make a scene. That was something that had been drilled into his head from an early age. Do his duty, don't make a scene, be subservient.
That last one was the hardest.
Camden had been groomed his entire life to do as he was told and that was getting harder and harder for him to deal with as he grew older. The fact that his life wasn't his own, that he couldn't make his own decisions, really bothered him on a level that was hard to describe. Camden had to banish these thoughts when it was time for him to make his gallows walk so to speak, the Omega taking a deep breath and then leaving the room. He was dressed elegantly and he looked the part if nothing else.
Yet there was still that rebellious light in his eyes that belied just how much this bothered him.

David breathed slowly as the band played the song for the bride, turning as everyone stood up in reverence. At least he was pretty, and male. The tall brunette hadn't even considered the fact that he might be paired with a female. The closer that the Omega walked to him, the more David relaxed. Not just pretty, this little Omega was down right beautiful. Tiny, the other was barely up to his shoulders when then man held out a hand to help him up the steps.
He smelled good as well, the other's scent made David want to burrow his nose in that lovely blonde hair. The brown eyed man lightly ran his thumb over the other's soft hand just briefly, wondering what was behind those pretty green eyes.
The ceremony was long and grueling. A lot of talk about duty and honor. The sanctity of the marriage bed. Having pups. Finally it came time to exchange rings and kiss.
David turned to the smaller male and offered up the large, ornate ring his Mother had given him. It looked garish on the others small hand and he pulled a face.

As Camden walked down the aisle to the accompaniment of the traditional music his green eyes immediately sought out his groom, who was standing at the end of the aisle waiting for him as was custom. It was a slow and agonizing walk, the tiny Omega's steps carefully measured and timed to the tune of the wedding march, but finally he made it, his hand reaching out to accept the one that was being held out to him. He wasn't sure that he actually wanted to do this but there was no backing out and at least his soon to be mate was handsome.
That was a small relief at any rate but Camden was still nervous as he knew nothing about the other.
And as the ceremony stretched on and he heard all those words about him honoring, obeying and blahblahblah he felt like he needed to turn tail and run. This was destined to be just like life with his family only he would be taking orders from only one. Those orders would be just as absolute as the ones from his parents, perhaps even more so.
It made Camden want to scream.
He didn't actually do that and instead he spoke the vows and then watched as his groom slid the ring onto his finger, his gaze going to it for a moment before he produced the much smaller, and much plainer one that he had. Once he had slipped it onto David's finger it was time for the kiss, Camden leaning forward and pressing his lips against the other's when the Alpha initiated the kiss.
Because he had to initiate it, that was just the way things worked.
And just like that they were a married couple, with all of the responsibilities that came along with that. Once again Camden felt the need to scream but he bit that back fiercely and at least on the outside he was everything that he was expected to be. It didn't matter that on the inside he was having an all out tantrum, internally screaming.

David pulled back from their first kiss quickly, wanting to be done with all of this and alone with... Camden. The priest had called him Camden, which the man vaguely remembered. The big brunette wondered briefly if the smaller green eyed man would like a shortened name, like Cami. That would be cute, almost as cute as the person belonging to the tiny hand in his own.
People clapped and there was a sudden low roar when all of the couples began to speak at the same time. David tucked Camden's hand into his arm, leading the little blonde out into the hallway. They had a moment to themselves, allowing the well wishers to line up on the steps and prepare to throw rice while they got into their limo and headed for the wedding party.
The dark eyed Alpha had other plans however.
"You know," David said quietly as they walked together for the exit. "The driver could always get lost on the way to the party. We're on a flight out of here in the morning," his eyes peeked down at the other. "They'll have forgotten the snub by the time we get back."
A proper Omega would be scandalized at the prospect of walking out on such a lavish party in their honor. Spending time being congratulated and fawned over by friends and family alike. What would Camden think, he wondered.

Camden walked along beside his new husband, wow that was going to take some getting used to, docilely as the larger male led the way out into the hallway. His green eyes shifted up to the other man when the Alpha started talking to him in a quiet tone of voice. Camden actually had to strain to hear what the other was saying and he sort of gasped when he heard David's suggestion of ditching the reception.
For a moment he was stunned and could only stare up at the other.
This might lead David to believe that his new spouse was a true Omega who couldn't fathom ditching a party where he would be fawned and fussed over however after only a few moments of staring a wide smile spread across Camden's face. This was something that his parents would be livid about and that just served to make him all the more willing to go along with the plan.
He'd had to go along with them up to this point but now he had a new authority.
The fact that this new authority was suggesting an idea that he really helped the situation.
"Let's do it!" Camden said after a moment, still smiling brightly as he gazed up at his husband, really hoping that this hadn't been an idle suggestion and that the Alpha would actually go through with it.
Because he was going to be seriously disappointed if the other didn't.

David looked at Camden, really looked at him for the first time when the other said yes. Not just, yes of course, not even yes whatever you want. A bright smile was on the blonde's face that made the whole hallway seem brighter. He wanted to ditch the party and wasn't afraid to show it.
A spark.
The larger man grinned right back at him. "We have to make it convincing." He murmured softly, crowding the green eyed man against the wall as another couple walked by. "Don't look too happy as we walk out of people will be suspicious. And when we're in the limo, just play along alright?"
He leaned in, feeling much more excited about tonight than he had been. One arm came up over the other's head, caging him in and blocking his expression from anyone who might walk by. David bent his head a little closer, almost close enough to kiss, but held back. Camden smelled so good, but he might not want to kiss David. Brown eyes looked into green as he waited for the others confirmation.

It had been impossible to hold back his excitement when he heard what it was that his new husband wanted to do and so he immediately agreed rather enthusiastically that they should do that. The Alpha made it pretty clear right away that he shouldn't act too happy or else people would be suspicious of them and Camden nodded his head slightly to show that he had heard and understood.
It took some work but he did manage to change his expression to one that was more appropriate.
His green eyes shifted up to the face of the other, his rather handsome features instantly gaining the Omega's attention, when David leaned close. He took a deep breath, inhaling the Alpha's intoxicating scent, and then he leaned against his new husband as those brown eyes locked with his green ones.
The expression that was held within emerald eyes made it clear that Camden wanted it as much as his new mate did.
He had been reluctant at first, only doing this because it was his duty, but now he was genuinely interested in the one that he was bonded with til death they did part. He wanted to know what David was like, the real him and not the act that he too had to put on for the benefit of others.
He was willing to bet that there were two sides to the both of them and Camden thought that it would be a fun adventure figuring each other out.

Camden was so small and soft against him that David couldn't help but groan quietly. His big hand came down, catching the other's jaw gently as he brought their lips together for a long, slow kiss. It was nothing like the kiss at the altar, but a slow and thorough claiming of those lovely plump lips.
The dark eyed man was going to spend the next few weeks exploring the fire he'd seen in those pretty green orbs. His eyes closed as they kissed, a pleased rumble coming from deep in his chest.
Someone knocked from the other side of the big church doors, indicating that everyone was in place and ready for them to walk out to the car so they could bless their marriage. A little ironic since mating was for life, and perfect marriage or not you were stuck with that person forever.
The tall brunette stepped back with reluctance, he wanted to spend more time tasting Camden's lips. It could wait however, until they were back at his place. It could wait even longer if the little Omega wasn't ready to go that far. Now they just needed to put on a little act.
David tucked Camden's delicate hand into the crook of his arm once more, flashing the other a quick, devious smile, and they walked out into the lights and cheers of family and friends alike, rice and well wishes raining down on them all the way to the limo.

A soft little moan left the lips of the little Omega as David once again pulled him into a kiss though this was nothing like the chaste kiss that the two of them had shared at the alter, no this was something entirely different. This kiss was hot, passionate, this kiss claimed him mind, body and soul.
The little Omega could feel the way that he was tingling all over from the kiss, his green eyes going up to meet his mate's brown ones when they finally pulled apart.
"That was lovely," he couldn't keep himself from murmuring before he turned his gaze to the doors when he heard the knock from the other side.
That was of course their cue.
Once again forcing his features to be stoic Camden placed his hand on the crook of his mate's arm and walked out of the church with him, his blond hair soon frosted with the rice that they were showered with. They walked fast and soon enough they made it to the limo and were inside, Camden's gaze going to his mate at that point as he waited to see just what David was going to do next.
The Alpha had said to follow his lead after all.
