Another day, another dollar. For most people, that was just an expression, but for Burgerpants, it was scarily close to the truth. Even though the 19 year old cat had worked for the richest monster in the Underground, his pay was barely enough to scrape by. Even now that the barrier was broken and the monsters were free, his situation didnt get much better.

He still worked insane hours for below minimum wage, and didm't even get benefits. And to top it all off, Mettaton was the worst part of it all. He was always treated as inferior, he never got breaks or many vacations, and Mettaton basically worked him like a slave. Burgerpants used to worship the damn guy, but as soon as he landed this job, all the respect he had for the celebrity vanished.

But, he had nowhere else to go. He tried applying for other jobs, but not alot of businesses on the surface were hiring monsters. So, he had to toughen up and deal with his boss's abuse until by some miracle he can leave this god awful place. So, here he stood behind the counter, polishing it for the 5th time today, per Mettaton's request. Everything had to be perfect, or else he'd be stuck listening to that annoying CD. Again.

Speak of the devil (whether or not that was an expression was up for debate) Mettaton came by, a small box in his hands. He hummed a merry tune as he approached the cat monster, seeming very much too happy for this to be good.

"Hellooooo Burgerpants, darling~! I couldn't help but see how lethargic you were and thought this would help energize you!" without a moment of hesitation he opened the box and poured its contents down Burgerpants' pants, the contents being some prototype ant-bots Alphys was working that he "borrowed". He laughed up a storm as the ants crawled everywhere in the monsters' trousers, absolutely adoring the poor guy's reaction.

Oh, great. Him. What could he possibly want now? Of course, he couldn't make his disdain too obvious, so he put on a fake smile, and greeted his employer. "G-Good morning, sir! What may I, uh, do for you...?" he asked, his gaze landing on the container in the robot's hands.

Before he could ask what was inside, Mettaton grabbed the hem of Burger's pants, and pulled them back. "H-Hey! Boss, what are you-" he shouted, pausing when the box's contents were dumped into his trousers. He immediately shrieked at the unfamiliar feeling, and began doing anything he could to get whatever they were off of him.

Without thinking, he grabbed his pants and yanked them down, kicking them away and trying to get the bots that were remaining stuck to his fur off of him. He completely forgot Mettaton was even watching this all go down.

Mettaton howled with laughter as his employee danced around with the ant-bots down his pants, but when he pulled down his pants was when Mettaton was on the floor in a fit of giggles and guffaws. "Oh my, Burgerpants! I have to add this to a CD! Oh god! T-too funny!" he continued to laugh hysterically.

Burgerpants finally got all the robots off of him, breathing heavily, and wiping his legs. He stayed there for a couple seconds before remembering Mettaton was there. He looked at his boss on the floor, exploding in laughter, then back down at his lower body.

His face turned a deep shade of red. This was all to familiar to the situation that got him that nickname he hated so much. Only plus side was that those two chicks weren't here. Still, embarrassed, the cat ran to the back of the store.

Meanwhile, Dr. Alphys was in her lab, getting ready. She had plans to go to Undyne's house and watch anime with her, but first she had to make sure everything was in order. All of her inventions and materials seemed to be accounted for. Except her ant bots. She could have sworn she left them on her lab table.

The only three people who were often in the lab with her were Mettaton, Undyne and Sans, but she knew that Undyne was at her house getting ready, and Sans was probably still asleep. And that only leaves Mettaton.

The lizard quickly texted her girlfriend to inform her something came up, and she would be late. After that, she opened her tracker app (The tracker for Mettaton was only put in for the beginning to make sure she knew where he was until his body malfunctioned. She just never had the chance to remove it.), discovering that he was currently at his restaurant.

She quickly hopped into her car and drove over. She was there within little time, and walked up to the door, peering inside. She saw Mettaton on the ground laughing, and the cashier blushing without any pants. He ran to the back, and she entered the building.

"M-Mettaton? Wh-What are you doing?" she asked, more concerned with this situation than the bots at the moment.

Mettaton was able to slow his laughing enough to look up at Alphys from where he was on the floor and tell her what happened. "Oh my goodness, Alphys! Those ant-bots really were useful! You...you should have seen Burgerpants' face! When those things were in his pants...hahaaa! We should call him "Antie-pants" now! Haaahahaha!" he then continued to laugh, holding his sides from all the hysteria.

Alphys was noticibly less amused by this whole situation. She had expected that he may have moved her bots, but to take them without her permission? And to use them like that? It wasn't very easy to get the scientist mad, but she was furious right now.

"M-Mettaton! Why do you have my ant bots? I've b-been looking for those!" Alphys exclaimed, her face reddening slightly. She's told him multiple times that she doesn't want him messing with her inventions, and he continues doing it anyway!

Mettaton slightly sobered up at her furious tone. Very slightly, as the star was still giggling and didn't take her all that seriously. It wasn't as if she could DO anything about him, right? A firm scolding and he would be right back to what he was doing. "Oh, come on, Alphys! You HAVE to admit, it was funny! It was just a little prank!" He shrugged it off with his high-and-mighty attitude.

Mettaton wasn't helping his case in the slightest by telling Alphys to calm down. "M-Mettaton I'm being serious! You know my inventions aren't t-to leave the lab!" she scolded, rubbing her temples. "I've told you time and time again and y-you never listen to me!"

Mettaton was getting slightly annoyed by how much of a buzzkill Alphys was being, so he rolled his visible eye while he retorted. "Oh, come on, Alphys, it was just a prank! A joke! Do you not have a sense of humor anymore!? You should be praising me that I found a use for those silly ant-bots! Don't be such a killjoy!"
