Red's Brothers { W1nchester

"This is our Father's orders Gabriel, and you must obey." Michael said firmly, thrusting the Archblade into his younger brother's shaking hand as Balthazar watched on in displeasure. "Our brother Lucifer will die at your hand." Michael then cast both Gabriel and Balthazar down to earth, where a storm was currently raging. It had indeed been God's plan to have Gabriel seek out Lucifer, but the Lord knew Gabriel would not be able to kill Lucifer.

Waking up, cold, naked and shivering, Lucifer sat up in the middle of a cut down cornfield, no older than seven. His powers were gone and he was trapped inside his vessel, as useless and vulnerable as a human boy could be. Luci felt like crying but he pulled himself up, noticing an old dilapidated farmhouse not too far away where he could seek shelter from the storm.

The former fallen angel pushed open the broken screen door and hurried inside, covering his naked body with an old dust tarp left over forgotten furniture. He had no idea his brothers were on there way to 'kill' him.

"Look, I'm just saying give him another chance before you decide to kick his ass into next week. We've been on the road for what? Four hours?" Sam told Dean as the three Winchester brothers walked into a local gas n' sip to fuel up Baby and themselves. Their youngest brother Jude never handled road trips well, but this time he was being especially bratty, whining about the distance, that he was too hot, that Dean's music station sucked etc. "He's bound to get wound up, we all kinda are..."

"I'm this close-" Dean held his thumb and finger just inches apart in front of his face, "-to turnin' the brat over the hood and showing him a bad time." the eldest Winchester huffed. "But fine, he gets one more freakin' chance."

Sammy shook his head, it'd been years since Dean had had to spank Jude, and he could only imagine how embarrassing that would be at twenty years old. He looked over to his younger brother and smiled, "Hey Jude, mind gettin' the water and snacks?" he asked, fishing in his pocket for his credit card. "Hey...uh Dean?" Sam frowned, unable to find it. "You seen my credit card?"

"Which one?" Dean sighed before checking his own pockets, also finding those empty. He frowned too and then rounded on Jude, "Did you take our freakin' cards Jude?!"

Gabriel frowned as Michael pressed the archblade into the palm of his hand, his fingers closing around the hilt and he felt like trembling. He needed to keep a calm facade however, as he turned his golden eyes up to his eldest brother. "Yes..." He said, voice firm, before he and Balthazar were cast down to Earth.

"No." Gabriel then said, turning to Balthazar, casting the blade upon the ground. "I'm not doing it." "Gabriel--" Balthazar started, but Gabriel shook his head. "No, brother. I'm not doing it. There is a better way, and I'm going to need your help..."

The duo talked in private of Gabriel's idea to raise Lucifer as their own, to change his ways. The angels talked as they made their way to the dilapidated farmhouse where they knew the freshly turned seven year old was hiding.

"Lucifer." Gabriel called, entering the home first. "I know you're in here, brother mine. Where are you hiding?" He questioned, walking around the home, not using his angelic powers to locate him because he assumed it would be much easier this way.

Jude looked up from his cell phone when Sam asked him if he minded getting the water and snacks. "Yeah, hold up." He replied quietly, shooting a message back to some hot chick on Tinder before he wandered the small aisles to pick up some candies and snacks. He pocketed a Twix for himself, not realizing there were cameras watching him, and picked up some chips and licorice for his elder brothers, grabbing some bottles of water also.

He headed up to the counter and paid for the snacks and water with Dean's fake credit card, glancing over his shoulder when the man rounded on him. "I don't know what you're talking about." He snorted, before the cashier suddenly got apprehensive. "I'm going to need to see some I.D." The man said and Jude's eyebrows shot up.

"What? Why?" He asked, and the cashier frowned. "Because if you don't want me to call the cops on you for stealing and credit card fraud, you better prove that you're actually Ben Ephraim." He said, and Jude froze, looking back at Dean. "Uhhh..."

Inside the farmhouse was cold, but at least it provided shelter from the harsh wind and heavy rain fall. Lucifer jumped at the odd flash of lightning and rumble of thunder now and again, since all he was right now was a frightened seven year old, with no means of defending himself should a threat arise. Lucifer tightened the dust tarp around his little frame and his eyes widened when he heard footsteps. That couldn't be good.

He hid behind one of the overturned tables and waited for something to get him, that was, until he heard a familiar voice. He was no longer afraid, Gabriel had always been his favourite brother growing up, the two of them had been thick as thieves. "Gabey!" Lucifer yelped, jumping out from behind the table and hurrying over to the Archangel.

"I-I don't know what happened--I'm some kid and I have no powers and---and I don't know what's going on!" the little one explained and then glanced to Balthazar, "Balthy? Wait..." Lucifer backed up a few steps.

"W-Why are you both here?"

"Oh I think you do, Jude." Dean answered when his youngest brother said he had no idea what he was talking about under interrogation over those cards. He had just seen the boy try and hand it to the cashier so his lie wasn't really going to hold up. Dean then looked to the cashier when he said about calling the cops on Jude for stealing and credit card fraud. "There's no need for that." Dean fished into his pocket, taking out his fake FBI badge.

"Agent Morscone, we're working an under cover case, this kid's with us." Dean explained and glared at his younger brother, "Though stealing wasn't really on the agenda, so we'll deal with that--personally." he said ominously, his gaze on the youngest Winchester.

Sam sighed, giving his younger brother a disappointed look as he paid for everything and then followed both an angry Dean and a petulant Jude out of the gas station. "You didn't really need to go stealing Jude...we had the money." he reminded the kid.

"Yeah, you better start explanin' kid." Dean growled.

Gabriel jumped at the sudden yelp of his younger brother, Lucifer jumping out from behind an overturned table, the child scurrying over to him. The kid then started to babble, saying that he didn't know what happened--he was some kid, and he had no powers, and he didn't know what was going on. Then he caught sight of Balthazar, and suddenly his eyes went wide and he backed up from the two powerful angels, asking why they were both there.

"We're not going to hurt you." Gabriel said firmly, closing the distance between them. He knelt down and put his hands on the child's arms, pulling him closer. "I'm going to tell you something, and you're going to be upset about it but you're not allowed to get mad or freak out, understood?" He asked, waiting for confirmation before he continued.

"You... Are a potential threat." He started gently. "And we were sent to... squash this threat, in a sense. The original plan was to kill you, but we're not going to do that. I have a better plan, that I believe will work even better than that." He said, gently rubbing the child's arms so he wouldn't panic. "It's going to be difficult for you, but I believe it is the best option. Are you calm enough to listen to the plan?"

Jude watched silently as Dean came and saved his ass, like he always did. Whenever Jude found trouble for himself, he could always trust his other brothers to keep him from getting hurt or in this case, thrown in jail. Dean explained that he was a federal agent, and that the kid was with them but stealing wasn't part of the agenda so they would deal with that--personally. Jude didn't like how he said that, and he definitely didn't like how Dean glared at him. So Jude began to pout.

Once that crisis was adverted, the Winchester brothers made their way out of the gas station, Dean angry and Jude sulking.

"You guys never let me get candy for myself, so I just pocketed it." Jude defended himself quickly. "I know that we had the money, but the money could be used for more gas or something else. I didn't know there was cameras. Plus, Dean fixed it. So it's not a big deal." He said, heading for the backseat of the Impala. "You both need to chill, nothing bad happened."

Lucifer didn't look so convinced when Gabriel said they weren't going to hurt him, "And I'm supposed to believe that because?" he was then pulled closer and the Archangel explained that he needed to tell him something that would potentially upset him, "They're gonna stop making lime flavoured lollipops?" he snorted but nodded when he was told not to get mad or freak out, "Okay fine, so what's up?"

He looked sort of proud when his brother said he was a potential threat, "Uh hello? Ruler of hell, that's kind of a no brainer, Gabey." he answered and rose a brow when he said the original plan was to kill him, "Oh? Big brother Mikey sends his love then?" Lucifer couldn't help being a brat, it was in his nature. "So what's this oh so brilliant plan of yours then?" the seven year old asked impatiently.

"And why did you bring the wife?" the boy was of course referring to Balthazar. "I take it you're not honey mooning?"

It was a common occurrence, having to save Jude's ass in some way. Dean and Sam were kind of used to it by now. When they were kids they would protect him from getting into trouble with John as much as they could, though that had never worked out well for them. As adults they were usually saving the kid's ass from some monster or the police, and that never went swimmingly either.

"Stealin' a freakin' candy bar aint worth going to jail over, Jude." Dean scolded his youngest brother, groaning and shaking his head. "If you wanted it so bad then you shoulda just asked." not that he would always give the kid what he wanted, but it was a candy bar, so why shouldn't he? "Chill? Don't tell me to chill." he huffed, "Ass. Car. Now." he ordered, pointing over to the waiting Impala.

Sam sighed, "Dean...everything turned out okay, maybe we can just overlook this? I mean--Jude probably didn't mean anything bad." he tried to placate his brother but it wasn't doing much good.
