Multiversal Grudge Match (for Dezmok)

Boots tore through the dark leaves of fall as Buffy Summers trudged further into the desolate graveyard, surrounded by tombstones and an eerie mist. It was only a few minutes ago that she had received word of a suspicious woman near Sunnydale's cemetery believed to be a member of the undead; A message delivered from an unknown source. Which, of course, was suspicious in it's own right. Buffy gripped a stake in her hands as she slowed down to a crawl, keeping an eye open for any ambush attempts.

When she found her target, they weren't hiding. They didn't even seem malevolent. But sure enough, there was a woman as described in the anonymous message; One not much older in appearance than herself, with blonde locks. But the archaic suit of armor suggested this woman was from a long dead era. Cracking her neck, Buffy narrowed her eyes and approached the confused looking teen.

Unsure of how to approach, she contemplated walking up and staking her then and there without there being a struggle; But at the risk of killing a completely innocent woman who just *happened to be cosplaying a knight whilst in the middle of a graveyard at night,* she instead approached a little less sneakily than before, dragging her feet against the ground to make her presence obvious to the stranger.

"Awfully late for a walk out, isn't it?" She announced, gripping the stake in her hands firmly.

Lilac eyes met the inquisitive vampire hunter's jokes with an unamused glare.


"Magic and sorcery has given me much. It has blessed me with survival and it has blessed me with my children, but there is a cost. My husband's death and being banished here are bad enough, do not make me suffer through your jests as well."

She turns fully to her approaching enemy and looks her over.

"You are under equipped, I will not have it said that I cheated in this contest."


Daenerys begins doffing her armor, revealing The Dragon queen's signature blue sleeveless dress/cloak that came down to her thighs and parted in the middle. She also wore her tan riding pants and matching boots of supple leather

Buffy watched with a look of pure confusion on her face as Daenerys shed her armor, a regal outfit laying underneath. Closing her eyes momentarily to shake her head, Buffy muttered "I don't have any idea what you just said, but I know it was cocky." Spinning the stake around in her hand, Buffy made her first move, thinning the distance between her and the dragon queen.

"Bad news, empress, your era ended a century ago. Time to go back to bed." With that, Buffy took her first lunge with little time to prepare, the pointed end of her stake aimed straight towards her opponents heart.

Unbeknownst to the slayer, her weapons would be very ineffective for actually piercing any skin of her opponent; All artillery had been dulled for the match-ups by an outside force. But still, they were useful for subduing her opponent.

Daenery's eyes widened at as her opponent lunged towards her. Luckily, snappy Dragons had trained Dany to recoil at a moments notice, so the stake only stabbed air as the Queen made long strides backwards while keeping her eyes on Buffy.


"unarmored and fighting with a stick, this will be no true battle" She said gripping the whip and bringing it into the air.


Despite her bravado, the Queen was neither trained in combat nor praticularly strong.


"I will have to keep her at a distance" Daenerys thought "but first I must disarm her"


Dany brings the whip down without noticing that the rough lashes at the end have been made as soft as the leather on her expensive boots.

The queen managed to dodge in time, leaving Buffy down on one knee before she recovered back up and locked eyes with Daenerys again. "She's fast. I'll have to get her down on the ground one way or another." Buffy tactically strategized. In this moment of standing still, she saw Dany draw her own weapon, a whip which lashed out back and fourth onto Buffy.

Bracing herself for the sting of a no-doubt painful weapon, Buffy was instead met with much less pain than she had anticipated; But the whip still made contact with her wrist, leaving a searing red mark that caused the blonde to drop her state in surprise. "Fuck!" She exclaimed loudly, before taking a deep breath and blowing the hair out of her face. Her stake rolled away, down the hill and out of reach.

Not having options for a weapon, Buffy raised her fists instead, charging forward again to keep Dany from having a distant advantage with her whip.

Dany was equal parts surprised and pleased her blow had even landed, although it did not make the cracking sound it did when used properly.


When she saw her opponent charge at her she realized there was no retreating again, not while Buffy had the momentum. Dany forced herself to stand her ground murmuring to herself

"I am the blood the of the Dragon"


She sent her whip at Buffy again, deliberately and quite obviously swinging the Whip in a low arc in an attempt to tangle the vamp slayer's legs.

Buffy watched with attentitive eyes as Dany swung her whip a second time, this time more prepared than last. Seeing that she was aiming to trip her, a smile grew onto her face, and she charged right into it.

The whip landed on target, coiling around Buffy's leg, but the slayer stopped in her tracks, crouching down and taking hold of the rope, before putting all her strength towards tugging it forward, be it to disarm her opponent or bring her closer.

Daenery's nervousness resulted in a grip as tight as her nerves. Momentary shock was expressed in her eyes when she saw Buffy's counter, but the realization came too late as the young Queen was yanked forward and onto her knees, with one hand on the ground to catch herself and the other still holding onto the whip handle.

With Dany on the ground, Buffy wasted no time. Peering over towards the nearest rock the graveyard had to offer, she took hold of it, winding up and sling-shotting it towards the queen while she was down.

The stone had done concerningly little actual damage to Dany; Only having created a tear in her dress as it otherwise bounced off with nowhere near as much effect as a hurling projectile would have on an average human. But, assuming she was dealing with a vampire, Buffy used this pause to her advantage.

The coil of the whip was still tight as ever on her leg, inhibiting her ability to run, but she pushed forward, winding up her free foot, prepared to deliver a kick to the Queen's chin with the sole of her boot.

The rock collided with the shoulder strap of her dress, thudding against her body while tearing the fabric. She grunted and inspected the damage. She was only slightly bruised but the left side of her dress's torso was draping open, revealing a black bra with red stitching outlines.


She was relieved with the lack of damage to her body and had too much adrenaline to be embarrassed by her exposure. The good news ended there, however, as her opponent was now in front of her and winding up a kick.


Dany learned from her tumble and dropped the whip, shot up to her feet while moving slightly to the left so Buffy's leg landed in her right armpit, when it landed there she wrapped her right arm around it and grabbed Buffy's pant leg with her left hand.


Apparent Dany learned more from watching her Dothraki wrestle than she thought she did, but the sequence still surprised her, so she hesitated for a moment with Buffy's leg locked in her arms.
