For many gods all it takes to give them power is just a prayer or a mere thought that helps to will them into existence, however for the more powerful deities that operate on planes higher than what the average human can comprehend.

Our story begins with a young boy being pushed into his bedroom by a very irritated mother who scolds the boy as he is wearing basic peasant clothing and holding a serving spoon in one hand.

After scolding the boy and confining him to his room for a week without being able to see his friends the boy flings himself onto his bed huffing as he lands.

Somewhere far away in another plan of existence, an ancient god awakened after hearing the prayer of the young boy, his long canine like ears twitching as he heard the prayer.

"And so another prayer must be answered" he deity spoke softly to himself as he clicked his fingers and opened a portal to the mortal realm.

The deity stepped through the portal shutting it behind him in a flash. The noise of the portal was silent so to not alert anybody. "Your prayer has been answered young one, say your prayer to me now so that I may judge it worthy of acceptance" the dark canine god commanded.

"You understand that the punishment will be long and well deserved but ultimately shorter than being confined?" the deity smiled as he floated and sat down in a meditative pose on the end of the bed.
