Trial and parole (KingCrowley)
At a local police station in an empty cell sat a young man with a rather impressive criminal record, his name was Stoney Michel Duglas. Now Stoney had always been a troubled kid but his record didn’t officially start until two years after being put in the foster system at the age ten after the untimely passing of Uncle who also served as his legal guardian that took over after his parents died in a drunken car accident.
His first charge came at the bright age of twelve after getting caught twice stealing a little over thirty dollars worth of things from a convenience store, of course his foster family didn’t approve of such behavior so instead of dealing with him they just threw him back into the system where he was passed around through about eight different homes in the span of just six years and during that time his record grew. It was no longer just shoplifting charges. His record covered several different charges such as minor in possession of alcohol, under the influence, public intoxication, possession of pot, public disturbance, destruction of public property, vandalism, and couple of other things such as resisting arrest.
Stoney did other things aside from expanding his record. During those six years he’d gotten a tongue piercing as well as a tattoo behind his left ear of a little pot leaf wearing sunglasses and just recently got a new one that went down the right side of his ribs which was nothing more than a poem by Robert Frost called “Fire and Ice” which also happened to be his favorite one.
“Stoney Michel Duglas.” A firm sounding voice called making the eighteen year old lift his hazel eyes in the direction of the cell door where a large man stood with a small grin on his face making the boy narrow his eyes slightly. “It would seem you have a visitor boy.” The large man said before disappearing out of his view before hearing a new set of footsteps.....ones he wasn’t familiar with, he knew he’d been assigned to somebody after his last trial but he was never told who it was let alone met the person.

"It'll be fine honey, I mean it's not the first time." a woman with dark brown hair and dazzling blue eyes told her husband as she fixed his tie and then pecked his cheek.
"I know Mads---but it'll be the first time letting a criminal into our home, I don't get why the system changed." A tall man with short honey brown hair answered. His eyes were a cold steel blue, and he had the look of authority about him. In other words, you wouldn't want to mess with this guy.
"Well, it gave us a reason to clear out our store room." The woman smiled, "And besides the house has been lacking a bit of life since Jack moved out, maybe this will be a good thing."
"Honey, he's a criminal, not a new puppy." The man chuckled, checking his watch.
"You know what I mean Benjamin Barnes." Maddison answered with a shake of her head, patting his very lovely bottom. "Since Jack left you lost that paternal, sexy side." she winked at him and then gathered up her books and notes,
"Hey I'm still paternal, I mean look at the way I am with Jester." Ben smirked.
"Point taken." Maddie laughed, "Well I have to be in court by ten, so I'd better leave now. Call me when you get Stoney home, okay?" she asked, kissing her husband one more time before heading out the door and to her car.
"Will do, have a good day." Ben smiled to himself. How did he ever end up with such a loving, intelligent woman? The man grabbed his jacket and then turned to the sofa where a grey fluffy cat had sprawled out, "Jester, Daddy's gonna be back soon, be good." he reached down and scratched the cat lovingly behind the ears before walking out of the door and locking up. Ben then got into his Porsche and drove to the local high court, where he would be picking up this young offender.
Once he parked up, Ben got out of the car and walked up the stone steps. A security guard took his name and details before leading him down to the holding cells. Ben stood at the door and walked in once the officer opened it up. Ben took Stoney's features in, keeping his face stern and unreadable.
"Benjamin Barnes. You must be Stoney Douglas?" he asked.

Stoney stood when he heard the heavy footsteps, bloodshot hazel eyes watching curiously as the shadow on the wall got closer before a rather tall man came into his view before being let into the young man’s cell. From what Stoney could gather from his unreadable expression the man was undoubtedly authoritative, his eyes then glanced down to his hands where he spotted a wedding ring, {Alright....So he’s married, but the real question is if it’s another Mr. or is it a Mrs.?} he thought to himself while still keeping a good sized gap between the two of them before the man proceeded to introduce himself as Benjamin Barnes then asked if the boy was indeed Stoney Duglas.
“I would think so considering I’m the only one in here with cuffs on.” He answered with dry sarcasm, “So....Benny boy, just how long do you think it will be before you give up and just send me back? And before you give me the whole ‘That’s not gonna happen, blah blah blah’ speech just know You’d be wasting your breath.” He said as he sat back down on the bench and leaned his head back a bit.
The walls of his cell held a variety of little drawings though a majority seemed to be focused on cats, some more cartoonish while others held more detail but each one had the little water mark ‘StoneyD.’ Scribbled out in cursive below each doodle while on the floor in a corner lay the sharpie he’d used, it seemed he also had a natural little back for drawing as well.

Ben of course noticed all the feline etchings on the wall, and he thought they were both comical and interesting, it seemed the kid had a love of cats---well then he and Jester would get along just fine. The man looked back at the kid when he asked how long he thought it would be before he just gave up and sent him back. Then told him not to give him the whole it's not going to happen speech, before he could even open his mouth. Ben had read the story of Stoney Duglas, and it was honestly a sad one, he had been in and out of the system for years with no permanent home, no permanent love.
"I'm not a foster carer Stoney. I'm your parole officer so it's not going to be the same thing." Ben answered, shaking his head. "I don't easily give up on my work, as long as you don't do anything to jeopardise your parole, then we should be just fine." he assured before then gesturing for the young man to follow him. When he seemed hesitant, Ben smiled.
"I have a cat, his name's Jester." he thought that might make the kid a bit more cooperative since he understood how daunting all of this could be. Stoney wasn't his first case and he probably wouldn't be his last either.

Stoney absolutely loved cats, they were soft, mysterious and often times pretty unpredictable which was interesting to the kid he just didn’t like dogs and was actually pretty scared of them due to a bad experience when he was about six or seven years old. He’d been out in the front yard at the time when a large dog had gotten loose and charged at him, the rest was blur to Stoney after that but had been traumatized from it nonetheless ever since.
Of course it was only natural for Stoney think Ben was just another “potential” foster family type person but was caught off guard a bit at learning the man was actually his parole officer, he’d never had one of those before and before he could ask the man clarified it wasn’t going to be the same thing then told him that he didn’t give up on his work so easily, which of course sparked a bit of doubt in his hazel eyes before Ben added that he should be just fine as long he didn’t do anything to violate his parole. “.....like what?” He asked
The tall man then motioned for the kid to follow but to Stoney’s surprise Ben didn’t get angry when he refused....he smiled. {...just what is your game here Ben?} he pondered to himself silently before being pulled from his thoughts when Ben told him that he had a cat who’s name was Jester. Stoney thought quietly for a few moments before finally following him up to the front of the station where they handed Ben a few papers to fill out while Stoney’s cuffs were removed a bit roughy before they handed him a bag that contained his possessions such as his hoodie, wallet, phone and charger, earbuds, and his Uncles necklace that he put on almost immediately within having it back.

Ben was a cat lover too, when he was young his Mother had about five cats and so Ben was able to bond with them. His wife had been against getting a pet because she was so house proud, but when Ben showed up one day with a little grey fur ball in his hands, she couldn't say no. Jester was now a happy, lazy five year old kitty who had the run of the house thanks to his dashing good looks and adorable little black nose. Ben looked at the kid when he asked him what would violate his parole, and he looked thoughtful. "Well, don't murder anyone for a start." he said after a moment.
"Don't commit any sort of crime either." he pointed out, "Not all wrong doings will terminate your parole though, there will be other punishments." he felt the need to point out before then managing to get Stoney out of the cell with kitty bribery. It worked and they were soon walking up to the front of the station where he signed some papers and a guard roughly removed Stoney's handcuffs, which made Ben frown.
"Hey, he's a human too, don't treat him that way." He said firmly before then looking at Stoney when he got his possessions, "Got everything kid?" he asked after a moment.

Stoney gave a faint smirk when Ben told him not to murder anyone after asking what would violate his parole before being told not to commit any crimes but went on to explain that not every wrong doing would result in termination and instead have different forms of punishment, he then wondered what category smoking (pot/cigarettes) and drinking fell into but decided not to ask as he followed Ben to the front of the station after being bribed with a cat.
Once they did get to the front Stoney was pulled to the side by the guard from earlier and had his cuffs roughly removed before his belongings were shoved into his hands, the rough treatment however didn’t seem to sit very well with Ben as he got onto the guard who simply gave a chuckle as he gave the kid a little shove towards his parole officer “I give it a week.” He said before leaving when a call came in.
“.....Yeah, I got everything.” He said giving the bag a careful look through and found his glasses tucked in his hoodie before following him out to car and got it the passenger side before looking out the window. “I don’t need you stepping in just because someone is being a prick....I can deal with my own problems.” He said a little quieter

Ben looked back at the kid once they got in the car and he rose a brow when he told him he didn't need him stepping in because someone was being a prick to him, "Just thought it was the decent thing to do. If you treat someone like a criminal, they'll always believe they are one, and they can never be any better." he answered and started the engine. He wasn't going to explain to Stoney what his punishments would entail, but he would be getting a sound spanking the moment they got home and went through the agreements together.
"When we get there, we need to go over a few things, and then you'll be subjected to your first initiation punishment from me." he told the kid as they stopped at the stoplights. "After that you can have something to eat, play with Jester for a bit and then we'll call it a night. I know the system already explained the curfew thing to you, it'll be lights out by ten." he told the boy and continued driving when the lights turned green.

“Yeah....well at this point I really don’t care anymore, Eso si que es... in other words Ben. It is what it is.” He told his new parole officer while keeping his gaze out the window as Ben started the engine and began to drive for a bit before stopping at a red light. Oddly enough Stoney had never actually been spanked, he’d been grounded, locked in a room, popped in the jaw and even punched at one point along with a few other forms of punishment such as mouth soaping but had never received a spanking. At the red light Stoney had slipped deep into his own thoughts wondering if Ben and his significant other would be better or worse than his previous homes even if the man was his parole officer, he then snapped out of his little trance when the man began to talk and looked over at him.
“....Initiation punishment? I didn’t sign up to be initiated into a damn thing. What the hell are you playing at.” He demanded staring at the man with cold hazel eyes while his heart gunned in his chest, there was definitely more to what had happened over the years than what any of his files had on record.

Ben shook his head, keeping his patience, "Initiation as in the first step to your parole, you still need to be punished for everything you've done up to this point son, since you're getting a pass out of prison." he explained and continued on driving when the light turned green. "And I'll ask you to keep the cursing to a minimum please, I know you're not a child and everything, but my wife hates a foul mouth, so don't be surprised if you end up with soap in your mouth." he laughed it off like some sort of joke, but he was being one hundred percent serious about that.
"It's just a punishment that will last---maybe half an hour altogether, it will not be pleasant but once it's done, it's done, and it's better to get these sorts of things over with, right?" he asked as he pulled up outside a rather expensive looking home with a nice garden and drive. Ben's wife was a lawyer, and he was a parole officer, so they both earned a very fair amount of money and they were able to live in luxury.
