Yugioh GX: With a Kiss on Top (for Liaras)

It was a beautiful, peaceful night for the students and faculty of Duel Academy, most students were delving into their book for a study session, some were using this time to soak in a bath. But one nosy student had a different idea in mind. Syrus Trusdale was in a boat that he found at the pier at the boys side of the Academy, drifting away with a paddle in hand. “Alexis...” The blue haired boy sighed blissful as the gentle waves drifted him along. He never really had a thing for the blonde haired Obelisk Blue before. But that all changed earlier today.

Syrus was running late to gym class as he overslept again, cursing Jaden and Chumley under his breath for not waking him up on time. As he entered the locker room and ran to the assigned locker he was given at the beginning of the year, scoffing as he found Jaden’s dirty shoe in the locker. “I guess Jaden is still using my locker...” He had half a mind to say something about it to him but he knew he never will. But there was something else in the locker. A letter! And as the dorky boy grabbed it and began reading, he began blushing. It was a love letter! Signed by Alexis Rhodes herself. It said she wanted to meet him in the girls dorm tonight. She didn’t have to ask him twice as he already began making plans in his head, skimming over the fact his name is no where to be found on the letter.

Back to present day, Syrus made it to the dock located in front of the girl’s Obelisk dorm. He jumped out the boat and made his way to the front door. Without even knocking, the boy let himself in and stood in the middle of the large welcome hall with a wide grin. “Hey Alexis! It’s me, I’m here!” The boy called out, oblivious to how loud he truly was.

No one would ever make the mistake of calling Syrus smart, and if they did, they would never make it twice. He was a Slifer, and for good reason because just like in his dueling he rarely thought his actions through.

This time of night was the most popular for the Obelisk Blue Girls to unwind in their own custom built hot spring. They gathered and rested in the waters, allowing their stress fade into nothingness as they gossiped about boys and makeup instead of stressing more about homework, which was a common stress factor for students who were expected to perform like the cream of the crop they were--which was to say their scores needed to be befitting of an Obelisk.

The hot spring, as it happened, was directly attached to the main hall, and students commonly passed through it to scale the grand steps that led to the second floor where their bedrooms were. So, when Syrus busted through the doors, which he shouldn't even have come in miles of because he was a boy and this dorm was the girls' refuge on the island, one such Obelisk student, who was dressed in only a towel as she walked up the stairs, soaking wet, screamed "Pervert! Boy!" as she held the towel even tighter to herself.

Her words echoed in the halls, and soon there were more than just a few girls who were up-in-arms and hiding away to make sure the boy didn't seem them.

As it happened, this night the girl Syrus was looking with to begin with was relaxing in the hot springs. At all the noise, she looked up. "What's going on out there?"

Her friends, Jasmine and Mindy, poked their heads out before they pulled them back in. "It's a boy!" Said Jasmine, indignant.

Alexis sighed. So much for the relaxing night. She stood and grabbed one of the robes before she and her friends, who also grabbed robes, went to see the little pervert that had thought it smart to invade their privacy.

When they entered, Alexis discovered that some of the dressed girls had chosen to pin the boy to the ground. And--wait...

"Syrus?" Identified Alexis, shocked at the audacity of the who she had assumed to be an awkward but polite boy. She had clearly pegged him incorrectly. "Hold on girls," she continued, stopping some of the students who had been about to fetch Madame Fain. "I'll handle it from here."

"Eh, do you know this loser?" Asked Mindy, not impressed with Syrus at all.

"He's friends with Jaden."

"There's that Slifer's name again," murmured Jasmine, her words unnoticed as the three of them turned their full attention to the blue-haired boy, who was still on the ground. The other girls filed out at Alexis's request, shooting Syrus dirty (and, in some cases, murderous) glares.

"What are you doing here, Slifer Slacker?" Initiated Jasmine when it was only the four of them.

Syrus was looking around the empty hall excitedly, that is until a random girl walk by and started screaming and made his eyes widen as she called him a pervert. “I-I’m no pervert! I’m just looking for Alexis!” His words feel onto deed ears as he soon found himself pinned to the ground, one of them restraining him by tying his wrists together. As he struggled to break free, he soon felt the crowd dissipate and looked up to find a familiar blonde and smiled. “Alexis! Hey!” But he quickly found himself questioning why her friends were there, wincing as one of them yelled at him and called him by the classic Slyfer nickname.

“Alexis knows why I’m here, she told me to come here!” Syrus responded, narrowing his eyes before blinking suddenly. “Why are you here? Don’t tell me that you love me too?!” The boy gasped, blushing at the thought.

Instantaneously, Mindy and Jasmine's faces curled in disgust, and Alexis' would have as well had she any less control over her neutral face.

"Ew, gross!" said Mindy. "Like, why would Alexis--or any of us--be waiting at the Girls Dorm for you?"

"What she said," agreed Jasmine. "Who would fall in love with you? You're small and wimpy with a terrible hairdo and really ugly glasses! And in case you couldn't tell, this is the Girls' Dorm. You know, the one you raided to see a bunch of naked girls! I guess that's another reason why no one would love you."

It was harsh, but Alexis agreed on the point that Syrus had come here unwelcomed. No girl would or should invite a boy here at this time of night. And Syrus should have known that coming here would result in his expulsion. "Okay, Syrus, why are you really here? Because I definitely didn't tell you or anyone else to come here."

Syrus face flatted as the girls started reacting to his comment as he looked at them with sad puppy dog eyes. His reaction would get more and more depressed with every insult. He was used to taking this kind of verbal beating from guys, but it was another story to hear it from girls. It was enough to make him tear up a little. “B-But I’m telling the truth! I have the letter right here to prove it!” Syrus explained, trying to dig into his pocket to dig out the letter but it was hard to due with restrained hands. He was finally able to pull the folded up paper out of his front pocket and handed it to the girls.

Jasmine was the one who snatched it from Syrus' grip, and she held it as though it might contain a deadly and infectious disease. Mindy peered over Jasmine's shoulder to read while Alexis waited until Jasmine was finished. When she was, she shoved it in Alexis' direction, who took it and read it herself while Jasmine said what she thought of it. "Okay, first off, that's not even Alexis' handwriting. Second, your name isn't even on that letter. Third, we're not buying this bogus story that you're selling. In fact, the only thing you're selling will end up being your deck once you're expelled."

"You tell him, Jazzy," concurred Mindy. "That'll teach him and all the boys that they shouldn't try to spy on us girls. It's just, like, totally uncool."

Alexis considered it. The situation seemed as though Syrus had gotten someone to write a letter for him so he would have a ready excuse to sell them if, or rather when, he got caught. But at the same time she didn't actually think that Syrus did this. As stupid as it sounded, it was a gut instinct, and she was the kind of gal that trusted herself. They couldn't just let Syrus off easy, though.

"Let's go get Madame Fain," said Mindy.

"Wait," said Alexis, and her friends looked at her. "I have a different idea..." Her friends leaned in, and Alexis whispered her idea.

"Oh, wow, that sounds way more fun," said Mindy.

Jasmine was less enthused. "I don't know. I think we should just get him expelled." Then she seemed to mull it over a bit more and nodded. "You know what, it does sound a little fun, and it might let loose some stress." Jasmine turned to Syrus. "Okay, listen up, Slifer loser. Thanks to Alexis, you're not getting expelled--well, you might be, but for now we're just going to give you an old-fashioned punishment ourselves. Then we're going to call your little Slifer friend Jaden, and if he beats Alexis, you get to keep going to school here. If he loses..."

"Then we'll decide where it goes from there," interrupted Alexis.

“B-But I promise I’m telling the truth! I found it in my gym locker on top of Jaden’s shoes!” He responded as his head sunk even deeper in embarrassment as he was explained that this note was not from Alexis and was probably a prank.

“I knew it was too good to be true...” Syrus sighed before his eyes shot up at the threat of expulsion. “N-No! You can’t! My whole life depends on graduating from Duel Academy! I promise I meant no harm and I’m really sorry I trespassed. I may be a bit of a bit of a nerd and a dork but I’m no peeping tom!” He pleaded with them before suddenly Alexis jumped in. “W-What are you going to do?” The blue haired boy cowered, whimpering slightly as they planned to also lure Jaden over.

"On Jaden'sshoes?" echoed Alexis, her suspicions of this being a setup increasing. It was possible that someone mistook it for Jaden's locker because his shoes had been in there. There were plenty of people who would want to take Jaden down (or rather out--out of the academy that is), such as the elitist snobs that don't like the idea that a Slifer took down their Dorm adviser. So it was planted for Jaden, but Syrus came across the letter first and assumed it was for him because it was in his locker. Yet the letter hadn't even been addressed to any specific person, and Alexis had no way to verify that Jaden had used Syrus' locker. At least, her lips twitched, not without asking in person.

Alexis adjusted the bath robe. "I'll leave that to Jasmine and Mindy to share with you. You have fun girls--I'm going to be sending Jaden a message about how his friend ended up over here and what he'll need to do to get him back." With that, she left to get changed first.

"We'll take good care of him," reassured Mindy, and Jasmine nodded in agreement.

"Uh, first though, how about we get dressed, too?" Jasmine suggested, but then she appraised Syrus. "I don't really trust him not to run away though. How about we take turns watching him?"

"Good idea!" said Mindy. "I'll be right back, then!"

With just Jasmine and Syrus left, Jasmine sneered at the boy. "You and your friend Jaden are going to be in for a rough time. There's no way he'll beat Alexis. She's the top duelist in the Obelisk Girls' Dorm. Even among the boys, her only competition are people like Zane. Meanwhile you are the lowest of the low. So low--" She pushed down on his shoulder, making him form a plank with his tied hands. She then chose to sit on the middle of his back. "--that you barely make for a chair for someone like me."

Syrus gulped as Alexis turned to leave, leaving him alone with the two girls. As the argued who would watch him, the boy prayed that an angel would come save him. That did not happen as Mindy left to go change, leaving Jasmine watching him. He groan as she continued to throw verbal jabs, making him unable to be quick enough to react to being made to go on all fours. He moaned as she sat on his back, him legs already shaking. “P-Please stop... I said I’m sorry...” He complained, blushing lightly as he realized her butt was touching his back.

"Oh, shut up you little freak," said Jasmine, shooting him a look of disgust that he wouldn't be able to see because of his position. "You don't sneak into the Girls Dorm, get an eyeful, and then got off because you say 'sorry'. You're already lucky that we don't have Madame Fain down here taking you to see Campus Security because there's a zero tolerance policy for perverts like you." Spotting his small, also shaking bottom, Jasmine was struck with some inspiration, and she lifted her hand high in the air before she brought it down hard on his bottom.
