[World] Archipelagos: Gods and Creation
In the beginning, there were the Unknowable Powers that flowed through the nothingness of the void like mighty rivers. No one knows how or why, weather it was by fate or chance, but the Powers collided together at the center of the cosmos, and the mixing of the powers brought forth the first two beings, Zenithar and Boethia.
Zenithar is the God of Creation and Craftsmanship, and Boethia is the Goddess of Destruction, Fire, and Vengence.
Zenithar desired to create, and used his power to make many things. He created the stars, the sun, the moon, the sky, the earth, the waters and the underworld, the plants and animals, along with many other things that we mortals know not of. But Boethia, heeding her nature, would always attempt to destroy that which Zenithar created. This greatly annoyed the First God. Then he had a thought, why not create beings like himself and Boethia, and as such, she would be unable to destroy them, and they would help him protect his creations? So, he created a dagger, and cut his finger, bleeding four drops of platinum-colored blood.
From the first drop would come Kyne, the Goddess of the Sky.
From the second drop would come Giaos, the God of the Earth.
From the third drop would come Sithis, the God of Chaos.
The fourth and final drop formed Jyggalag, the Goddess of Order.
The four would agree to rule the aspects of existence, on the conditions that they would be the soul rulers of them. Zenithar has no choice but to concede to his childrens’ demands. Then Zenithar created the Bionicle, elemental spirits who would serve the gods. They were divided into eight types.
Nocama: spirits of water
Ownua: spirits of stone
Wenua: spirits of metal
Matau: spirits of air
Niju: spirits of ice
Vacama: spirits of fire
Mata-Nui: spirits of light
Makuta: spirits of darkness
Sithis and Jyggalag could barely stand to be in one another’s presence. But where the younger children of Zenithar could not stand one another, the elder became crimes and companions. Kyne and Giaos spent much time exploring their domains. And over time, they discovered one another as well. Thus was the first pregnancy, and Kyne would bare six children born of the seed of Giaos.
Dibella, the first born, Goddess of Fertility, Pregnancy, and Childbirth.
Maedra, the second born, Goddess of the Sea.
Mara, the third born, Goddess of Magic and Motherhood.
Shor, the forth born, God of the Underworld.
Tsun, the fifth born, God of Lakes and Rivers.
Y’ffre, the sixth born, God of the Wilderness.
The gods ruled their domains and explored their world of earth and water and sky, the endless islands and the life that lived on them and in the waters. And like their mother and father before them, the gods eventured exploded one another as well. Dibella and Tsun were the first, then Mara and Shor, and finally Maedra and Y’ffre.
The Twins of Dibella and Tsun were born first. Eilistraee, the Goddess of Hunting and Protection, and Malorne, the God of the Sun and Stars.
Then came Ysmir, the son of Mara and Shor and the God of War.
Next came Azura, the daughter of Maedra and Y’ffre and the Goddess of Wisdom.
One hundred years after the creation of the world, Boethia descended upon the earth in the form of a lion and devoured many of the beasts of the earth. This worried the gods, so they decided to something about it. Ysmir took the form of a boar and fought the lioness-Bothia and wounded her, then retreated. The Goddess of Fire then went to drink from a creek, whom Mara used magic to turn into wine.
She got so drunk she passed out. Mara then used her Magic’s to bring forth the gentler sides of Boethia, giving her a second form. Thus came Nocturnal, the Goddess of Love. Then the six once again came together.
Alduin, the son of Dibella and Tsun, the God of Family
Orkay, the son of Mara and Shor, the God of Death
And finally, Elune, the daughter of Maedra and Y’ffre, the Goddess of the Moon.
