It was past midnight at the Eyrie Building.
David Xanatos had been working nonstop for the last six hours on a secret new project for the Xanatos Enterprises, hoping that it would gain him a good profit.

He was sitting at the desk of his huge private office, his gaze glued to the computer screen.
His hair and clothes were slightly unkempt, his eyes framed with dark circles and his mouth set into a tight line.

Several paper cups of coffee (now empty) were scattered over the desk, and the only sound that could be heard, was the man's nervous typing.

Owen Burnett, his secretary, personal advisor and, frankly, anyone Xanatos needed him to be, knocked at the door of his bosse's office and entered it, not waiting for the response. despite the late time, Owen looked as tidy and concentrated as ever, But he also looked rather concerned and displeased.


"Sir, it's almost 1 a.m. You've been working here for hours, and I've asked you to take the rest several times now" Owen's tone was polite, but also firm and insisting. "I know how important is that project, but you're too tired to move it futher in any case, and sleeping devpravation might affect your health. You've had a mild case of fever from the lack of proper rest jsut the previous week, sir. Go to bed, please."


Though it was phrased as a request, Owen's voice and look implied that was not up to discussion, actually.

"Uh-uh, in a moment, yes."

Xanatos said, barely paying any attention to Burnett.

Alright, he was starting to feel slightly exhausted and yes, maybe he also felt a bit warm...but this project was too important. He wouldn't let his personal health get in the way.

"Go get me another coffee, would you Owen? Thanks."

"Bo, actually, I wouldn't." Owen shook his head, frowning more visibly. "I am sorry, sir, but you've already drunk more then is healthy for both your heart and your stomach." he nodded at the pile of used cups.


The blonde secretary approached Xanatos' table and bent to look his boss in teh eyes. His tone turned a bit less formal - as much as it was possible for Owen Burnett, of course. "Please, sir. You're hurting yourself. Just go to bed now. Eight hours of healthy sleep won't be critical for your work. In fact, you have more chances to make a mistake in your current sleepy state. It's time to have some rest."

Maybe it was the late hour. Maybe because he was tired and very cranky.
But instead of accepting Owen's reasonable advice, David narrowed his eyes and gritted his teeth.

"I didn't ask for your opinion, Owen: I gave you a clear order, very easy to follow. If you're not going to make yourself useful, then get out of my office and let me work in peace."

[Jinchu]

Owen raised his eyebrow. Despite being technically Xanatos' worker, he was not used to be adressed in that tone. they both knew that he was unique and literally unreplacable, and usually the millionaire respected that.



"My main goal is to bend the things to your benefit, sir. From looking through the morning papers to covering you from raging gargoyles, if needed. But right now your direct orders are in conflict with that goal. You're the main menace for your own well-being, risking both your helath with sleep deprivation and excessive use of caffeine and your scientifuc work, since your tired brain can make critical mistake any moment."


Owen's tone was still polite, but now as cold and sharp as steel. Anyone could hear the clear warning in the secretary's words and his croseed hands.


"Last warning, sir. Its bedtime. Go to bed, now."

Xanatos frowned and bit his lower lip: he knew very well what he was risking.
He knew the consequences for this kind of behavior, or whenever he refused to listen to Owen.
Still, he shook his head 'no' and went back to typing on the computer.

"Sorry Owen, I can't. I really can't, it's too important."

Maybe this time it would go differently.

[Jinchu]

"I am sorry, sir, but i cannot let it slip either" Owen simply replied.


Without further ado he walked around teh businessman's big table and grabbed Xanatos by his elbow. He forced the man to stand up and threw the empty paper cups off teh table. Then Owen made his boss to press his chest to the now empty space on it.


"I've tried to reasone, but you refuse to listen with your ears. There is only one way to explain then." Owen coldly pointed out, holding David on place with one arm and undoing the belt on the businessman's pants with the other.

"Come on Owen, please, there's no need to do this!"

He whined, squirming and trying to get free, but the blond's grip was stronger than it seemed.
David blushed bright red when he felt his black trousers and underwear being pulled down to his ankles.

"Please! Don't spank me!"

Xanatos hated to beg, and usually wouldn't do it, but with Owen was different.

"I quite agree, sir. There is no need in that, but you refused to listen any other way." Owen responded coldly, as he removed his bosse's elegant apnst and underwar, exposing the tanned backside to the air.



"I have to, sir. Maybe this way you will remember to go to bed in time the next time" Owen shook his head. He raised his palm and delivered the first, swift and hard, smack in the center of Xanatos' butt, hitting both cheeks at the same time. The impact echoed through the office. Fortunately, they were the only people in teh building at the moment, so no one could hear it...
