It was a bright and sunny spring morning, dew still sparkled on the grass. A litten made it's way down a cobblestone path, enjoying the morning breeze. It stopped at a tree and yawned, deciding that it could probably use some more rest. The cat-like pokemon walked up to the trunk and curled into a ball, moving it's tail over it's nose. It's yellow eyes slowly closed and it relaxed in the sun's warm rays. Litten enjoyed being without a trainer, no worries and no orders to follow. Not that it would follow any orders anyway.

15-year-old Onstan, an aspiring fire trainer, was also making his way through Melemele Island's forest park when he decided he could use some rest. He plopped down in the shade of a tree, but was mortified to discover a moment later that he'd narrowly missed sitting on a Litten.
"Hey, little guy. Sorry about that."

Litten narrowed it's eyes and hissed at Onstan. It didn't appreciate the company, OR almost being sat on. The fire-type pokemon stood up and walked away from the young trainer, laying down in the grass a few feet away from the tree. The pokemon didn't fear trainers and had no problem showing them how much it didn't like them.

Litten closed it's eyes once more and rolled on it's side, ignoring the trainer. It had no interest in what he had to say, it didn't particularly care. All litten did was breathe out in a loud huff.

The little creature was adorable despite its rudeness, and Onstan couldn't take his eyes off of it.
"I bet you're hungry. I know i am. Do you like Tamato Berries?"

Litten's ears perked up at that and it lifted it's head, looking at Onstan with little interest. Maybe it was a little hungry, it had no problem taking food from others. The fire-type pokemon sat up an lifted a paw, giving it a lick before rubbing it over it's ear.

Laughing at the little creatures coyness, Onstan proferred a Tamato Berry. "Here you are. Where's your trainer, little one?"

Litten walked up to Onstan and picked up a berry in it's mouth, immediately beginning to eat it. It made a growl-like noise when Onstan asked about a trainer, it had no trainer and it didn't need one.
Helping itself, the fire-type pokemon proceeded to eat more of the berries, not having a care in the world.
