Adopted by a adventurer (Private for dtrain34)
The village of Grelor was normally a quiet, peaceful town of craftsmen, merchants and farmers. Nothing of major importance ever seemed to happen in Grelor, much to the dismay of most of the residents. But a lot of the adults were used to the boring daily grind to put food on the table. However, today the town was abuzz with activity. Late in the night, a mysterious man had arrived in town, boarding his horse and buying the most expensive room in the Inn for three days, paying for the room upfront. The merchants were excited, the townsfolk were gossiping in the streets about who the mystery man could be. Rumors began to build that he was a famous adventurer, stopping at their town to rest in the middle of a quest. The rumor quickly spread and soon everyone was talking about the adventurer who was staying at the Inn.

Ruby Jane Smith, a young heiress to her families mining corporation has heard about this adventurer and decided to pay him a visit “jeez, who needs father and his money, maybe if I plead my case to this man he’ll take me with him, though I’ll probably have to proof my worth first.” She decided as she waited to see him leave to go get a drink before she snuck into his room taking his wallet, she decided to try and be cute surprising him at the bar, before she realized however he’d have to return for his wallet before doing anything else, she heard the sound of the doorknob being turned and gasped.
(Got a little creative I hope that’s okay! If that doesn’t fit your plans let me know and I can change it of course!)

The man turned the doorknob to the room he had rented, seeing someone in the room, holding HIS coin purse! He quickly stepped into the room, closing the door behind himself and standing to block it, his large frame completely blocking the exit. "Give me one good reason to not call the guards" he said, his voice firm and commanding, one hand on the hilt of his sword.

She jumped hearing his stern voice “oh! Please don’t I’ll do anything! I only did it to get your attention, I heard stories of a great adventurer and that’s what I want to be so I was hoping to maybe have you take me on as your apprentice! But please don’t call, here I’ll put it back and leave you’ll never see me again!” She promised with nervousness behind her tone as she dropped his purse taking a step back.

His eyes locked on her, carefully analyzing her movements. "You heard stories? You don't even know who I am, let alone of the rumors are true." he said, blocking the door frame with his broad frame. "Who are you? I want a name. You are very bold to break into a strangers room just to get their attention. You could have just approached me." he said, hand leaving the grip of his sheathed sword. By the shift of body language, it was clear he was no longer being defensive.
