A battle had erupted over the monastery and the church. The Flame Emperor had been revealed to be Edelgard, her people, Dimitri's, Claude's and those that Blyeth had supported all had went forward into one large conflict. Though when all was said and done, everyone had been licking their wounds, some were more gravely injured than others. Many had went missing including some of the leaders of the armies.

Edelgard, Dorothea of the Black Eagles, and Annette along with Ingrid of the Blue Lions. Two factions with the strongest connections to this war, with missing individuals, and by leaving them out there in the air things would only descend into chaos. A bandit had taken the girls hostage, though no one would know they'd be hostages. The bandits had taken them and the four were bound up and tied down in a single room together. All four were left in their underwear on the same large bed with the bandit leader with a mask on watching them.

As the four awoken they were met with the sight of a man in misaligned armor and gear but with a bear inspired helmet that looked to be on fire. For Edelgard she'd know that it was from a bandit group that attacked her nation as the Ember Crusade.
