It was a warm mid-summer afternoon as Joanne Burke waited patiently outside the administration building of Crescent-moon Park, looking down at her watch every now and then and smiling when she did, as she could see that she'd soon be greeting the parks newest resident.

Despite Crescent-Moon widely being recognised as one of the most popular wildlife sanctuaries in the world, it did not house your typical assortment of animals, instead standing out as being a sanctuary for stray little mimi girls without owners. Despite being very popular domestic pets for practitioners of magic after being gifted to them by the mysterious Kenomimi in order to quell their overpopulation, there were many who could still be found wandering the streets alone, having either run off from the pet stores they'd been placed in or else wandering down from woodland areas nearby in order to explore.

Luckily for the park, they had witch's patrolling the city by broomstick every day, keeping an eye out for any homeless little mimi girls who could do with a home and someone to look after them. As it happened, Joanne had just received from one of these witch's about a half hour ago, telling her she was on her way to the park with a little neko girl she'd found raiding a dumpster in a back alley. The kitten looked to be about nine or ten years old and had apparently been quite easy to scoop up and drop in the witch's catching sack.

As such, Joanne continued to wait with eager anticipation, looking forward to meeting this girl for the first time so that she could place her with a family in the park who'd see that she'd get all the love and attention she needed.

Kita blinked as she found herself inside the sack of a witch in a broom. It wasn't exactly the most traumatic experience the little kitten had over gone through but it was definitely a bit terrifying. During the trip to the gods knew where, Kita put up quite a fight before tiring herself out and deciding to just sit still and wait to find out what terrible place she was going to.

By the time they arrived at the sanctuary the little neko had fallen asleep with, her blue tail wrapped around her small frame. Indeed it was quite an adorable site to behold. As she blinked her eyes she surveyed her surroundings, her pupils thinning until they matched that of a cat's. This normally meant she was ready to attack anything that tried to touch her. What she saw was a train station which confused her even more. The green eyed girl tilted her head in confusion before turning to one of the witches.

"Where am I?" she asked softly.

It only took another few minutes before Joanne could spot her colleague descending from the sky on her broomstick, her catchers sack dangling full from the handle which the witch removed once she had dismounted the broom, before setting it down gently at Joanne's feet so as not to startle the girl inside.

Opening the sack up, Joanne beamed down adoringly at the sweet little neko curled up at the bottom, watching carefully as the blue-haired kitten slowly awoke and sat up in the sack, before curiously asking where she was. "Well hello to you to sleepyhead" Joanne said playfully, reaching inside the sack and picking the girl up, sitting her easily in the crook of her arm given her small size, "welcome to Crescent-Moon Park, the best Mimi sanctuary in the whole world, and you're new home".

After thanking the witch who had delivered the girl, Joanne watched the woman take off on her broom once again to resume her scouting, whereupon she turned on the spot and began to carry Kita towards the door of the large inconspicuous building she had been standing in front of. "Come on" she said, carrying the kitten through the door into a hallway with a flight of stairs leading down at the end of it, as well as a sign that hung above the stairs that read 'Park Enterance', "let's see about getting you cleaned up and into some nice fresh clothes".

On both walls of the hallway, there were two doors with different signs above them, with the one on the left reading 'bath room' whilst the one on the right read 'dressing room'. Joanne made her way over to the door on the left with Kita still sat in her arm, whereupon she opened it up to reveal a colourful looking bathroom with white tiled floors, a large basin in the centre of the room with a stool beside it, and what looked like a changing unit along the lefthand wall that stood beside a cabinet filled with a variety of lotions, conditioners and shampoos.

Kita almost scratched the lady as she was lifted up but didn't want to be dropped so she resisted the urge. She listened to what she had to say and blinked, wondering what she meant by her new home. As she was carried to a door she mewed softly, wanting to be released. The kitten unfortunately couldn't free herself and simply stayed put as she was taken down the stairs.

Kita read the sign and wondered what it meant as she curled her tail around the woman's arm. "I don't want to be cleaned, I wanna be put down," the small girl whined and wiggled around a little.

As they went into one of the room she looked around the colorful bathroom and couldn't help but think that being clean wouldn't be so bad as she had been dirty for most of her life. Her complaints stopped and she just patiently waited to be washed, though she was clearly still just a tad bit scared and upset.

Seeing the kitten settle as they entered the bathroom, Joanna smiled and gave the backs of the girls blue-furred ears an affectionate scratch, whereupon she carried her over to the changing unit and gently set her down upon it on her back. "Now don't you worry about a thing" the witch gently cooed, giving Kita's nose a playful prod as she spoke, "you just lie back like a good little kitty whilst I get you out of these old things".

Wasting no more time, Joanna raised the childs arms above her head and expertly removed her green and white t-shirt, tossing it into the air where it vanished with a satisfying pop! sound. She then took ahold of both sides of the nekos little brown shorts and slid them down her legs and off her feet, throwing them up and vanishing them just as she'd done with the t-shirt as she looked down at the kitten lying on the unit, dressed only in a pair of torn pale blue panties. "Oh dear" she said, removing Kita's undies in the same way she'd down with her shorts and holding them up in front of herself to examine, "it looks like these little knickers of yours have seen better days".

After throwing the panties over her shoulder and waiting for the pop! sound to let her know they'd disappeared, Joanna reached down and lifted the now naked girl off the unit and back into the crook of her arm, an easy feat given how she was roughly the size of your average seven year old. "Well" she said, carrying the neko over to the basin and gently setting her down in the warm water, "once we get you nice and clean, I'll let you pick out a brand new pair from the dressing room next door, would you like that?".

Kita couldn't help the soft purring that came as she was scratched. When she was placed on her back the girl pouted a bit before blushing as her shirt was taken. She was surprised when her shirt disappeared and even more surprised when her shorts were taken and made to disappear. Her face went completely red as she was left naked and she struggled to cover herself with her tail and and hands.

When she was lowered into the water her complaints left her and she began to relax a little, though she was still somewhat nervous about what was happening. The dirt from her body immediately began to clear off of her and into the water as she was washed. "Yes I'd like that, wouldn't wanna be naked forever," she replied before looking down shyly. "W-Why are you being so nice to me?"

Joanna couldn't help but let out a little laugh in response to the nekos question, tenderly petting her head as she did before looking over towards the cabinet by the changing unit and waving her hand, causing its door to swing open. "Because that's what we do here sweetie" she said, clicking her fingers and causing three bottles to float out of the cabinet and towards the basin as she took a seat on the nearby stool, "we find little mimi's like you who need a home, then we make sure that you're properly looked after with all the care and attention you need".

Picking up a small bowl from the side of the basin, Joanna scooped some of the warm water into it and gently poured it over Kita's head, whereupon she reached down and picked up one of the bottles labeled 'blueberry shampoo', pouring a little into her hand and beginning to rub it into the nekos hair and cat ears.

The kitten blushed as her head was petted before watching as the witch performed more magic. She had never been treated so kindly by anyone which was one of the reasons she had been living on the streets. It was much better than being with someone who hated her. "There are other Mimi's here?" she asked, looking around to see if she had missed any.

As the girl's hair was washed she let out a small sneeze before closing her eyes, not wanting the soap to sting them. The soap was a little cold but the water thankfully warmed it up a bit. More purring left Kita as her ears and hair were washed.

"Oh yes" Joanna replied gently, pouring another small helping of the blueberry shampoo into her palm as she spoke, before using it to gently wash the nekos tail, "you'll meet them soon enough, once I've gotten you all squeaky clean and ready to be sent off to your new owner".

Once all the shampoo had been rinsed from the girls hair, ears and tail, Joanna sat upright on her stool and moved her hand in a circular motion in the direction of the basin, causing Kita to slowly float up out of the basin she was sitting in as two fluffy white towels flew out of the cabinet beneath the changing unit, wrapping themselves around the kitten as she began to gently descend into Joannas lap, whereupon the witch set about lovingly drying the girl off.

"Hmm, I won't let anyone own me," she muttered sleepily as she was washed. She squirmed slightly as her tail was washed but calmed down soon enough. "Are they not here right now, I didn't see any when we were coming here."

As she began to float out of the basin the girl shook her tail, trying to get rid of some of the water. She hugged herself as the towels made their way around her body and she closed her eyes, sighing comfortably as she was dried off.
