25-year-old Cassandra Dawson drummed her fingers against the windowsill as she gazed outward, eyes taking in the sight of the autumn sky and the orange trees of Central Park below. In spite of being raised by one of the most well-connected families in the city, she'd never been very good at meeting new people. She knew it was ridiculous. This was a new maid she was meeting, of all people. Someone who was coming to work for her. She had no reason to be on edge. And she might not have been had this been some 50-year-old man or woman with a tenuous grasp on their language. But this was someone in her general age group, which got her nerves up a little. She hated to describe herself as "awkward," but she could be at times.

23- year- old Kimi 'Orchid' Fokoma was walking down the the streets of the Central Park, smiling as she noticed that the orange trees had leaves coming down, causing her dark orange hair to be covered by the leaves..but it more like blended in with her hair, so she didn't mind. when she gotten the good news she was gonna get a job...at the castle no less...as a maid..despite the job and what she'll be doing...she was excited to have a job to at least earn some sort of money. at this point, any thing will do for her. she was selling her art, but the people only gave her so much...and she might have seemed a bit greedy back then...but she wanted to go to a special college..where she could fully get a degree..I'm something..but for now..her mind was in raising money and getting better at her art. even though she was a bit nervous of meeting the daughter who was a part of this rich family...she was actually proud of herself..and hoped it wasn't all that bad. she walked through the autumn trees...making a hesitant move as she made her way to the big home. she just hoped the daughter wasn't one of those snotty bratty rich girls...she sighed just thinking about it as she knocked on the door on the home. she looked down, waiting for a response.

The apartment doorman let her in. After asking her business and checking her ID, he escorted her up to the top floor, where Casey lived. "Miss Dawson is hard at work on her dissertation," he explained. "I'm sure she's expecting you, but try not to disturb her too much." She was a very measured person, but she could be a little scary when she was angry.

Kimi bowed in respect when she was let inside and after ID-checks and telling them the info of her business plans, she was escorted to the top floor. she nodded in understanding as she continued. "I won't try and disturb her...I'll wait till she gets done". she muttered as she imagined how much fun she'll have here..despite being a maid.

The moment Kim entered, Simon woke up from his nap, his ears perking up. He was Casey's beloved cat, a scraggly yellow Maine coon with a shrill meow, and a knack for making trouble. After inspecting for a moment, he made his way over and regarded the new girl curiously. Then, without warning, he got on his hind legs, meowing, asking to be picked up. This was a game of his. He charmed people with his friendliness, then bit them while they were distracted. Casey herself did not notice she had company yet.

Kimi entered quietly as possible inside of the room, looking around and noticing that in fact...Casey was doing her work. she looked around more...and noticed there was a cat..and she smiled when it started to meow. she looked shocked when it came over to her and looked at her..before going on its hind legs..maybe it wanted some attention. "aw...aren't you a cutie"? she never had a cat before...so she was almost elated to let this one. she picked the cat up, looking at its eyes with her own...but..not realizing the game the cat was playing...when the cat scratched her..she squeaked and dropped it right back down, rubbing her face...then she muttered apologies to the cat..as if it could talk for dropping it so suddenly.

Simon started crying for Casey, making pitiful mewing sounds which she could hear through the door of her office. The heiress sighed and stood, closing her laptop. She exited into the living room to find Kimi standing there awkwardly. "Ah, hello," she said, feeling a bit awkward herself. She crossed the room to shake the younger woman's hand. "I'm Cassandra Dawson. And you must be Kimi."

Kimi looked shocked when the cat started crying. she wanted to do something about it...but she was scared that she'll get scratched again...so she left the cat alone. she stood now with her hands behind her back, awkwardly staring at nothing until after a couple of seconds..Casey came in and introduced herself. Kimi shook the older girl's hand. "yep...that's me...pleasures to meet you". she smiled

Cassandra looked her up and down subtly. She was a very attractive girl. Far more than she was expecting. It made things both a bit awkward and a bit more exciting, all things considered. "Yes. Well, I suppose we should have a conversation about your position here, and what I expect from you. Before that, is there anything I should be made aware of about you as a person? Anything you'd like for me to know?"

Kimi saw how the older girl looked her up and down like she was checking her and looked away, awkwardly smiling. maybe the girl was checking to see if she was right for the job she picked. she looked towards and sighed lightly from relief when the older girl finally spoke. "w-well...I don't...think so...there really isn't much about me". she muttered as she awkwardly chuckled after.
