Question about artwork
For my game Spankophile's Dream, I would really like to have illustrated spanking scenes, at least one still image for every important spanking in the game. That's going to be a minimum of 25 illustrations.
I would like for the art style to be congruent with the character appearances in the game (no gigantic breasts/butt, realistic proportions, etc.). The spankings themselves would also need to be realistic. For example, obviously the damage from a large wooden paddle is going to be concentrated at the point of impact on each buttock, not an even redness all over.
The problem is that I have no talent for drawing. I'm going to have to pay someone to do the artwork for me. Since I don't have unlimited funds, I would ideally like to avoid being overcharged.
Going off of averages I've seen from artists that have mentioned prices on their profiles, I'm guessing an average of $50 per commissioned piece is pretty normal. That's going to end up being $1,250 for my planned illustrations. I've already spent about $400 on game assets as well as another $750 on research, but I want this game to turn out well.
I'm wondering if my expectations for commissioning art are realistic? Also, are there any particular artists you would recommend?
