Two grey-blue eyes were looking around the busy street, looking for potential clients to rob. The eyes didn’t belong to a grown-up but to a small, little girl of 8 years. The girl was rather undernourished, looking fragile. She was dirty and her skin had a few bruises. On her little body were rags rather than any clothes. Little shorts with some holes and a dirty, torn T-shirt. She had little, damaged sandals on.

Sandy was living as a street urchin, fending for herself and mostly under the half-hearted protection of a local scoundrel, if she had money or valuables to share. The street had made her rough and certainly quite good in stealing. She knew that the best ones were the tourists!

As she was sitting high, she saw a very well dressed man with short hair and a fur collared coat. Oh yes! That one smelled rich! She saw him sitting down at one of the cafés and sneaked off to get closer. She was sure he had his wallet in the pockets of his big coat. She just needed to get close and fish it out!

Baron Zemo sat sipping wine in the outdoors area of an upscale local restaurant. He had a few body guards nearby, but they mostly blended into the crowd. He probably didn't need them anyways. His greatest enemies could easily take out his body guards, and his weaker enemies were no match for Baron Zemo on his own. Still, they were there if they were called upon.

He took out a small bag of turkish delights from his jacket pocket, and smiled at them as he remembered how his son had loved them. He still took them with him most places. They were a good memory, and sometimes a good tool!

Sandy was just getting towards him as she saw the bag of candies. Her eyes grew big. Like every child she was of course wild for any sugary stuff. Maybe she could get the bag too? But first the wallet!

The small girl crawled behind him and squatted down. She looked around and as she was sure to be safe, she stuck her little, dirty hand into the Baron’s jacket. She could feel something and gripped the item, wanting to pull it out.

(Oh yes: his name is Helmut Zemo.)

Helmut Zemo could tell that a young girl was trying to get closer to him. His body guards noticed too and began to get closer, but he discreetly waved them off. He could take care of an 8 year-old girl. He almost chuckled at the girl, she was so inexperienced at being a thief! He waited until her hand was in his pocket, and she was about to take his Turkish delights, but suddenly his other hand snatched her wrist and he firmly held her in place as he said, "Well, looks like we have a little thief here! And what is your name?"

Sandy suddenly was caught and froze. She rarely got caught and if then she was always able to run away! But that man was strong. At least it felt so for the little girl.

She stood and faced the man. Okay..okay. She needed to play it cool. She frowned at him and uttered:” Let me go or I’ll scream! I do! A..and you don’t want that. Because I know people. Many people.” She lied and pulled slightly at him.

Helmut Zemo laughed and replied, "You know people? Who do you know? I know everyone who's anyone in this town." He stopped, no sense arguing with an 8 year old over who knows more people. "Where are your parents?" he asked. "Do they know you're stealing from strange men's pockets?"

Oh shit! Maybe this time she got the wrong one? Sandy still tried to play it tough. “I don’t have parents. I don’t need them. I have myself!” She said and flashed the man a tooth gaped smiled. She then looked at the candy again and did grab it with her free hand. She wanted to run off but his grip was still locked on her. He really was strong!

He held the grip on her and she couldn't escape. "Nonsense," he replied. "Everyone needs a family. They teach you many important things... like you shouldn't steal from a baron." Helmut knew the owner (in fact, he'd given him a very generous loan) and he immediately began to pull the girl along with him to a back room there at the restaurant. Everyone at the restaurant knew well enough to pretend they saw nothing.

A..a baron! Sandy gulped slightly and looked quite confused as the man dragged her inside and to a back room. She was too perplexed to really fight as she did follow along, but did voice her opinion:”What’s going on? What are we doing here? I don’t have time.” She said as if she needed to be somewhere else. Silly little girl.

Baron Zemo smiled at the girl as they arrived in a back storage room where they had a bit of privacy. He sat down on a crate in the back and asked, "I am Baron Zemo, a man who should not be robbed. To answer your question, I am here to teach you a lesson that your family really should have taught you if they were here. Now, what is your name?"
