Generally I'd say make the game you want to play. But since there are
currently zero first person spanking games, that's something I'd love to
see. Going off on a tangent, the absolute long term dream game is a VR
POV spanking game. With a Teslasuit. (google it!)

i would say make it first person there are very few of them so it would be cool but at the same time i would say them first person just dont not work for some games.

The best way to make decisions like that is honestly to do what other games in a similar genre to your intended one do. Don't reinvent the wheel if you can help it!

I agree with you about not reinventing the wheel, but I must say I am kinda getting, do I dare say it, bored with the rpg maker / game maker genre. There is a disconnect there thats why 3rd person ISO or 1st person came to mind.

So it looks like first person it is then. Won't be done for the game jam. 1. I just learned about it when I went to post my question, 2 creating assets is hard. 3 I unfortunately have a nosy family and they don't know everything about me yet (coronavirus sucks. Everyone in your Beezness.)

Depending on Who you play as, you need to consider your options and what You want to see.
As a spanker you'll get to see the spanking regardless. In first person you'll get to see that nice bum you're spanking.
The spankee also wants to see the spanking. But how much will she see when draped over someone's knee or bent over the bed? Not much. Unless you hope to have functional mirrors that we can look over our shoulders.
If you feel up to programming either, maybe you could go the extra mile and program both that are toggled at the player's discretion?

I recommend playing Abigail's Spanking Diary. In that game you have the POV as a spanker, and third person windows. In addition to two narrated 'stories' that give you 3'rd person views.
Maybe it'll give you some ideas? Also, games like Sims 4 and Skyrim have mods that allow spanking.
These games have first and third person views and personally, I find third person views work the best. You gave a better idea of what's happening.

I like the first-person idea. However, there is not one fighting game where spanking is the sole focus of the move-sets. Why not try that?

Know anyone in sensitive data fields, such as the intelligence/counterintel business? This kind of thing actually has been around a LONG time, but its not out in the "open" markets. And there are settings and software that is set up to "self Destruct" so to speak if incorrect PW is entered a certain number of times... Or talk to a good hacker. The only problem I see with the "Restore Factory Settings" is that after you say it and actually fade to black, there on the screen you will see "Are You Sure? " blinking on the screen.....

On topic: I think POV (1st person) is good as long as you give the player the "eye candy" they'll want; i.e. as a spanker, a good view of the spankee, or as a spankee, a good view of their spanker, even if not entirely realistic; those pov spanking videos that look "back" are the best, IMO; I don't want to look at the floor, but also don't want immersion broken by having the view suddenly cut to 3rd person. It depends on the game, though; I prefer 3rd person vanilla games because most FPS give me chronic motion sickness! I also never enjoyed old-school first-person RPGs as much as I did later 3rd person JRPGs or games like Fallout.

Off topic: I actually want the reverse to the OP: when I pass on, I want my computer to release everything I have to the internet for everyone to share. I've got quite the collection of various things, from spanking media and personal unfinished projects, to vanilla stuff like rare movies, saved websites, books, documents, etc. and I hate to think that if I blinked out tomorrow, all that would be sitting on a hard drive that likely got tossed it in a skip.
