To Re-Raise a Criminal (for Jinchu)

"Guilty!"

That simple word made Tina's world crumble beneath her feet. She couldn't believe it: she was the a business woman, a genius in her own field, that she made everyone to believe. The truth, however, was that the secret behind the success of her company was a bounch of illegal things, from laying to the origin of the products and the use of synthetic banned materials to tax evasion and other frauds. And at the end, the law caught her.

Tina Smith, a small and quite thin woman with long red hair and green eyes, once rich and powerful, was excorted out of the courtroom by a couple of police officers, ready to deliver her to her warden.

In the society they lived by, in fact, criminals were not sent to prison. Jails had been replaced with a more modern and efficient system called "Re-Raising". The criminal would have been placed under the care of a person that would have worked to educate them back into society, well punished and reformed.

Tina sighed. She knew almost nothing about the Re-Raising thing apart from some sporadic news. All she knew was the she was about to meet the "mommy" or "daddy" or both that was assigned to her.

In Mary Brown's house everything was ready to Tina's arrival. She payed good money for rearranging one of her rooms into a cute, brightly colored nursery... with adult-sized furniture and toys. It was reasonable, Mary thought, since they were friends for two decades now.



They even graduated together and started their business in teh same field... But no matter how hard Mary worked, Tina's firm left her far behind. Now it was clear why - because Mary was a honest tax payer and only used approved materials and work conditions.



Mary was a bit bitter about it, but also wanted her childhood friend to be in good hands. Applying for teh position of her Mommy seemed like teh best way to react to both these urges.


The tall, well-built woman with brown hair in a ponytail opened the doors as teh police arrived. "Welcome home, Tina!"

Tina let out a gasp as she recognized her childhood friend. Mary, really? On one side she was happy to don't be at the mercy of a complete stranger, but on the other hand being in those of a person she knew was even more embarassing.

"Hi, Mary." she said, as the police officers accompanied her inside "Does this mean what I'm thinking? You really signed to be my warden?"

"Youe Mommy, Tina. That's how it's officially called, and how you'll have to adress me for the next few years" Mary softly corrected her. She was wearing a simple t-shirt and sweat pants, since today she planned to spend all her time with Tina. "I'll handle it from here, officers" she smiled to the police.

[Matisse]

The officers greeted her and then left, leaving the two women alone.

Tina sighed deeply. She was wearing a formal dress, white shirt, black jacket and black pants.

"So, I have to live with you now." the woman shrugged "Oh, well, it won't be too hard, then. Do I have a room for me or do I have to sleep on the couch? I really hope you have a room because I need a soft bed to sleep, the couch is too uncomfortable for my back."

"Don't worry. I ahve a big room all for tou, and your crib is soft and cozy." Mary explained, leading her to the baby room: with a big crib, indeed, as well as a changing table, a playing pen, colorful cartoon character prints on the walls and so on. One big difference from regular rooms of that kind was a line on the wall there a few paddles of different sizes, a belt, a tawse and even cane were hanging. It was signed "MOMMY'S HELPERS". "I have everything ready, but we can discuss some additions."

Tina looked at her friend with wide open eyes as she said those words. She couldn't believe her ears.

"Crib? Are you serious?" she asked.

As Mary lead her to her new room, however, it became clear she was dead serious. The crib was there, alongside a lot of other things you could find in a nursery, but oversized. The sentenced woman looked around in the room, and let out a gasp as she saw the Mommy's Helpers.

"What are those for? And what addition are you talking about?" she asked "I thought I was simply going to live with you as a warden, Mary. Isn't the 'mommy' just a metaphor?"

"No, that's the whole idea of that programm" mary explained seriously, slightly puzzled of just how oblivious her friend could be about her own sentence. "You'll be re-raised and re-educated from the start, having a new babyhood and being treated with loving discipline to become a better person. And before you ask - that is a law, and I cannot just not do it for the sake of our friendship. Not to mention I belive you would benefit from a better upbringing."

Tina listened to her friend in absolute shock. So she was serious about it. Mary was about to become her "mommy" and re-raise her like a child. The woman blushed deeply at the embarassing idea.

"Yeah, I know that I have been sentenced and you can't avoid doing it." she sighed.

Tina went closer to the Mommy's Helpers, and asked "And what are these for? Not for me, I hope."

[Jinchu]

"Actually, they are for you" Mary's tne was kinda sympathetic - like she was discussing an unpleasant, but necessery medication. She was, in a way. "As you realise, children get disciplined, and you are a trubled, ill-behaved child at this point, I'm afraid. Don't worry, you won't have to taste all of them... taht will depend on your behaviour."



The woman put her hand on Tina's shoulder in a reassuring manner, realising it was hard to swallow, especially since her friend was so ignorant about modern judical system. But after a pause Mary added, still half-hugging her: "Now is teh time for you to undress completely. You will use different clothing till the end of your sentence... and it's time for your "welcome home" spanking."
