Once again, antivirus software may not like the game, and you might need a certain Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 runtime DLL - probably not though. If you need it, you can download an installer from Microsoft.

The latest Python script version is 0.2.2 here, with some workaround and logging code for bugs. It needs Python 2.7 and the latest Pygame, and should work on Linux and Mac.

Yes, that's a plural in the title, but for now, I only have one. You can see a screenshot above. It's a childhood favourite of mine called "kiusa" (I don't know if it has an English name), with scoring in spankings.

As with the practice game I made, antivirus software may not like the game, and a certain Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 runtime DLL should technically be a dependency. Last time, no one seemed to need it, but if the game doesn't work, you can try downloading the installer If you DO need it, please tell me. I'm interested in knowing. Of course, if it still doesn't work after installing that, let me know.


Playing is simple: The deck is dealt among all players. The one with the seven of clubs begins play. You play one card on the table on your turn. Each suit needs to be opened with a seven, followed by a six and then eight. After that, cards can be played on top of the six and eight in order - ace is one. Playing an ace or a king allows you to play another card (but you don't need to). Otherwise, if you cannot play any card, you need to take the penalty marker and keep it until somebody else needs it.

Winner is the one who first gets rid of all their cards. Everyone gets penalty points based on the cards left in their hand - here, ace is 14. The penalty marker is worth 21 points. In this spanking version, hearts translate to hand spanks, diamonds to hairbrush, spades to the strap and clubs to the switch. The 21 penalty swats are based on the suit of the winning card. (You don't get to see the spankings, though. Not yet. Sorry.)


The game is complete to the extent that all the rules are there, you can play it as is (and I have - it's been years since the last time!); however, there are still numerous things that I plan to add. Player pictures, some sort of banter maybe, rudimentary strategy for the computer players, but most importantly, a storyline. My plan is to make a few (at least two) more card games, including another childhood favourite, and bundle them together in one program; you can play any single one by itself, or play the storyline that involves all of them and gives you "reward pictures" as you progress.

So that's the outline of my plans. If you have ideas for card games that would work great as spanking versions, I'd love to hear them. Of course, I'll dictatorially decide if I'll use them or not :P. And naturally, if you run across any bugs or problems with the game, please tell! I've played it quite a bit so it should be mostly fine, but I caught quite a few bugs that only occured in certain circumstances, so it's always possible that there are more.

I absolutely dig it, Zekel, and I'm certainly looking forward to all the updates you've mentioned! This is a fabulous way of putting your lovely set of spanking cards to good use.

The one problem I had with it wasn't game-breaking, but it was sort of irritating, and I may have been the only one with the problem: The game was running in a window that was too big for my screen, and there was no way to fullscreen/resize the window. Thankfully, I was still able to hit the Deal button, so it was no real issue.

As for card game suggestions, one does come to mind... It was called "Knucks", and was a game made with a penalty in mind, but I'll have to double check on the rules. I'll go look it up and edit this post when I find them.

Once again, though, lovely work! I must ask though: Is there going to be a "reward picture" for losing?

Very good game. It took me some time to learn how to play it but quickly i was addicted to it and now i play it all the time I love the cards - so cute, lovely, unique.

Of course i look forward for all the updates to it, i'm also very curious about the story that it will have.

I didn't have any problems with dowloading and playing the game - it all worked perfectly.

And i also think that - besieds some reward pictures - there should be also pictures for losing Perhaps the reward ones could be all of the other players spanked and You saved - watching the punishment of other girls with a smile. And the losing pic would be of course You, Yourself geting it - maybe with the other girls watching and laughing. I also think the spanker should be someone else - not any of the players - some sort of "Game Mistress"

FrankFly: Shucks, I figured some people might still be using 1024x768... I've squeezed out 32 pixels to make a "squished" version for smaller displays - smaller than 768 it cannot go, due to the dimensions of the cards. There's now a fullscreen mode too. I'll make some more additions and then release an updated version.
I haven't decided on details, but rewards are typically granted for progress only, no? Maybe there could be a standard after-the-fact picture of the player character that is shown whenever you lose, and more art of your opponents as you defeat them one by one.

Pampered Countess: Thank you! Addiction is the best compliment . I still need to think about the story, and ideas are welcome. I have a rough image of the characters - Marika is a bit of a "bad girl" type, Ingrid is the "rich girl", and Tiina is a smart, bookish girl. Of course, the story mode isn't limited to just them.
Details on who spanks who will of course depend on how the story turns out, but yeah, it'll be something like you describe. A game mistress is a nice idea. I just might make use of it.

I like the girls You described, i think it's great that You made them "deserving" for a spanking. And that's why i think that the smart, bookish girl should be a little modified, maybe it could be told that she is arrogant and thinks she is the smartest and other are dumb? Or she could be some computer hacker? Of course it's just my ideas, i know that You may not care about them being "deserving". But if You care a little then maybe something of it You will like Ah, and the rich girl, is easy to think, that she can be haughty, arrogant and spoiled, so - for me - she is deserving already

Okay, here are some my ideas for the characters (names of course can be changed ), maybe You will like some:

Daphne - Sly, sneaky, inteligent girl that poses as good and sweet. She is secretly naughty and makes all kind of trouble but she blames it all on the other girls.
Brittany - Good natured but rather dumb, easy controled and put to trouble by the smarter girls. Also clumsy, always doing something not right or breaking things.
Miki - very immature and with childish behaviour. Very spoiled by her parents and things that she can do anything. She likes to do stupid pranks, can be mean or even rude (without understanding what she is doing, like a little girl).

From my other ideas there also one that the spanking depends on how much someone loses. If the lost is complete (for example the one who gets the least points) the spanking could be the worst (but it doesn't need to mean severity - it could be a picture of a spanking in front of all the other girls for example or/and a need to stay bare bottomed also in the next round).

Whether I care about a spanking being deserved would heavily depend on the context... The characters will become more fleshed out as I write the story, I hope. Interesting scenarios will be more important than extra characters, though until now I didn't even have a premise... so here's what I thought up:

Main character receives a weird deck that is said to be cursed: when you make a bet and lose, you're going to get the spanking you're due one way or another. This can add some variation to the story, so it's not just girls challenging and then spanking each other. The story could begin with the main character playing against her friend, neither of them believing in a curse... until it hits them. From there it could progress many ways. There might be someone annoying they need to teach a lesson, or someone who doubts their story...

I'm still at the very beginning of the writing process, and one reason this thread is here so early in development is to hear the great ideas people certainly have. (By the way, if you think of something that would work best as a surprise, you can PM me with ideas too.)

Around these parts it's mostly referred as "ristiseiska" (7 of clubs), but some do use "kiusa" The latter in my opinion is better since it indicates the nature of the game better. Here though if you have to pass, you get a card from your left player, so slight variation of the same game.

I encountered no issues with the game.

Some suggestions:

1) While you do have the rules and explenations here, it might be a good idea to add them to the ReadMe file.
2) I naturally have no idea on what you have planned storywise, but it would be nice to see some alternate storylines, meaning that few choices here and there that effect the way it goes forward. It would add a lot of replayability.
3) Agreed on strategy for the AI, just in case I was wrong I played 10 hands and won 9 of them and even the lost one with just 1 card. Of coarse that is not much of a sample size in the grand scheme of things.

Other card games turned in to spanking games? Well let's see.

Poker and it's variations: You bet with spanks, add some mechanic on rear durability so that there is actual interest in keeping the spanks to your rear at a minium.
Hearts: Just invent some form of points to spanks ratio and done.

It has many names, but the one my grandma used is the only correct one. :P

1) Yeah, I should do that for now. Eventually, the instructions will be in the game itself.
2) Next to nothing planned... Branching storylines would be nice. I'll have to see what works best.
3) Yeah, now it just chooses a legal card randomly. I've modified it so that it should play a bit better in the next version, though the actual effect is difficult to test in a game where luck plays a large part.

Poker has been done a thousand times... I still entertain the idea, if only to call it "risupokka".
Hearts is a fun game, and there's also this - basically a scoring variation. I'll have to see how many I'm going to do, but that's a good candidate.

Today I did some character design sketches. They all seem so generic... but I guess that's okay for now. The story should flesh them out. I hope. Anyway, now I can start making the player pictures, and after them move on to the story, or the other card games.

As for the story, Liisa is the main character, Marika and Tiina are her friends who will help her out as she endeavours to find out the story behind the deck, who made it and why, and to put an end to the curse afflicting their backsides. I haven't decided on Ingrid yet, but she'll probably join them too, so the four will be the "main cast".

(I don't know if posting this incomplete stuff is of interest to anyone, but I feel like documenting the progress... somehow helps with motivation to have "something to report".)

I for one am very interested in your progress

I don't think the girls look generic next to each other like that since they're very visually distinct. They do kind of look like very cliché character types, at least to someone who's watched his share of "slice of life" anime, but building on established character models is not necessarily a problem at all.

In any case, it's a cardgame that's also an excuse for a spanking story, so it probably doesn't require the most deep and meaningful characters. This shouldn't limit your ambition, but you don't have to put more effort into writing than you want to.

Anyways, I hope you have fun with your project.
