Human Looks: Luther is an energetic boy and so physically that is obvious. He has short dark hair that he keeps meticulously combed and brown eyes with a circle of green in them. He has a smooth face but generally looks very serious no matter his emotions. His tendency to find something physical to do demands that his clothing are capable of withstanding the efforts but otherwise he doesn’t show much interest in them.

Wolf looks: When Luther changes he is predominantly brown and black, with a tinge of white to his muzzle.

Personality: Luther has a very utilitarian attitude, so what needs to be done he’ll see be done. He doesn’t skip his chores or complain about them but he won’t find more for himself either. He’s accepting of others but has his moments of being bitter and pouty also. He’s generally fairly easy to get along with, though he really loves to be ‘in charge’ of things.

Age: 28

Sex: Female

Human Looks: Helena is a tall woman with an obviously hour glass shape and a tan that’s evident from the time she spends outside. She has waist length hair that she washes with henna to turn it the color of sherry. She has grey eyes with a fine bone structure and sharp features. She very seldom wears make-up save for a dark autumn shade of lipstick but wears her nails long and unpainted. Though widowed, she still wears her wedding ring; a Victorian memento mori ring.

Wolf Looks: Helena appears as a grey wolf with a white muzzle and legs and with the appropriate tans and blacks on her back.

Personality: Though she often appears to be very calm and sure, Helena can be frightened by the average. She has very few friends outside of the other were-wolves as she stopped hiding her dabbling in the super-natural years ago, with little grief on her part over their loss. Her interests manifesting less Wiccan and more Mr. Crowley may have some effect on her outwards feelings towards others but she can often be brutally honest.

Luther knew his luck was rather outstanding in so much as by this point it could be. Certainly he wasn’t the luckiest; being bitten by a wolf and finding out what type on the next full moon had been a big downer. Being found by another were-wolf when he had ran from his home, mouth and hands still bloodied in his human form had been almost too lucky.

Even he hadn’t known what had happened, just that his mouth was smeared with coppery fluid when he awoke and the undersides of his nails were embedded with drying flesh. He had ran and ran and had finally stumbled into Helena’s garden. She had noted to herself as she held him that it appeared the boy had been mauled by a dog…and then she had grown silent.

That had been two years ago and now Luther was finally happy with his life because were-wolves or not his new family loved him very well.

Zyan is the child of two wolf humans. Since he was the child of Helena and Greg and not bitten by another of their kind, he appeared more wolf then man, but he didn't give off any of the signs of having been bitten. In fact he could control his transforming and he only fully went wolf when he decided to, normally to go hunting with his parents.

He was a big child for his age, very tough and rugged and swift as the wind. He was easily the fastest kid his age at his school and it seemed that he could run endlessly.

Greg was a very demanding person. He wanted the best out of himself and those around him and he treated his family the same way. He belived that his orders or his partners were to be followed right away no back talk, and any back talk would be met with a spanking or some other punishment.

Helena got a phone call while she was cleaning up around the house. It was from Zyan's school. The little boy had got into a fight and bit another child in the process, breaking the skin and leaving a rather nasty wound that had the school nurse concurned that he might be infected. She was asked to come in and sign premission for her son to be taken to the ER for a checkup.

OOC: I had planned on Helena’s character being a widow, so I’d prefer if we just went with Greg being her partner as opposed to her husband. I’m alright with Zyan being their son if you still want that though.

Helena placed the phone back on the hanger after agreeing that she would be there in no time. Slipping her apron off of above her day clothing, she flung it on the freshly scrubbed counter in a rare show of temper. Walking into the hall, she lifted her hat from the coat rack, pinning it on in the mirror that hung beside the rack. Quickly she donned her coat, threw her purse strap over her shoulder and exited the house.

As she walked to the school she tried to calm herself perfectly so that she might be able to seem calm and collected by the time she arrived. It seemed to her that five years old was much too young to be involved in a fight over anything but blocks so it was very alarming to be called over this. As she trudged down the dirt road she managed to let out all of her more frustrated thoughts.

Soon Helena found herself at the quaint town school and walked up the stairs towards the entrance, her heels clicking against the stones. Walking to where she knew the nurse’s office to be, she knocked and opened the door without waiting for a response.

“Hello, Sharon.” She greeted the nurse, her former class-mate. “I’m to understand you need my signature? Then I’d like to talk to Zyan very much.”

"We do need you to sign. Since it wasn't judged as something that would kill him if not treated quickly and because it seems fine for the moment we didn't take him right to the ER."

She seemed to snap out of her trance.

"Of course you can talk to him."

She lead the way to where Zyan was laying down on one of the beds.

“Zyan , darling, what happened?” Helena inquired, looking down to her youngest son for a moment before kneeling down closer to him and stroking a hand across his hair.

“I’d like you to explain to me before we go to the doctors.” She said firmly, not happy to have been called over a fight but still slightly worried for him none the less. As a werewolf she was careful not to let down her dominance until after she knew the whole situation however.

"He kept hitting me so I bit him mommy." Zyan said looking up at her. He saw her look harden and he slid back away from her a bit. "I am not in trouble am I? I was just defending myself like daddy taught me to."

“Defending yourself and fighting are two separate things, Zyan.” Helena reminded her son, keeping her expression firm though trying not to be threatening currently. She reached out to hold him in place so he couldn’t avoid her, one hand cupping his chin and turning his face to her. She didn’t like to lecture him in front of people but Sharon didn’t seem to be too interested in watching them so she continued no matter.

“Is this how your father showed you how to defend yourself?” She inquired, kneeling down then so she could speak closer to him, her voice lowering enough for only his highly sensitive ears to pick up. She hated trying to explain to the child why he couldn’t fight back the same as any child, but this was a very important lesson. “We’ve talked about why you can’t ever bite. How would you feel if you had made that other boy into a wolf the same way that Luther is? Then you would be his alpha. You don’t want your off-spring to be angry with you, do you?”

"But mommy..." he started whining. "He was hitting me over and over again, and you said before that I have to be careful of using my hands to hit someone in case my claws come out by mistake."

Zyan had hidden claws underneth his hands a fact that they had discovered the last time he had been bathed by his parents. They were helping wash his hair and he reached out to grab the towel to dry his hair off and he ended up shreading the towel by mistake.

Being the fist and only of his kind, he had the best traits of both races. See WereWolfs normally don't mate with each other. The love that had drawn his parents together was rather strange. WereWolf sex was normally harsh and had a lot of biting in it.

It was important that Zyan hide his wolf traits as best as he could manage so he wasn't shunned and could live a normal life. Sometimes though his cold logical wolf side got the better of him.

It had today when he was backed into a corner and his wolf side took over causing him to lash out and bite like a wolf would. Luckly the other kid ran off before he could take his claws out or the boy might have been killed.

Zyan looked down at the ground "I am sorry mommy I messed up and lost my temper. Am I in trouble?"

Just then the nurse came back inside. " I am sorry but its time for him to be taken to the ER. You can come along for the ride of course mam."

Helena swept her arms around Zyan and lifted him up to her chest to follow after the nurse. It may have seemed a bit odd but her maternal instincts sometimes over-powered the logic to ask if a normal woman would be able to pick her five year old up like that.

She would deal with any problems from that at a different time.

Currently the problems she worried about were those that could have been caused from a werewolf’s bite.

“We’ll talk more about this later.” She said softly to Zyan.

"Mommy what if they find out I am different?" he asked nuzzlying up aganist her chest. "You said they could never be allowed to take my blood, thats why we don't go to the doctor ever." he reminded her worried. He had heard from other kids at school that doctors gave shots and that shots were very painful. He didn't want to get any shots from any stupid doctor.
