*nods* Oh, and the idea of this poll is to vote for your favorite of all of the characters listed. Sorry, should have mentioned that in my opening post.
For me - the ones who did the best in the roles are as follows: Batman = Christian Bale with Val Kilmer as a close second for me. Personally, I think that George was cut out to be a good Batman/Bruce Wayne. Alfred = Michael Gough. He seemed more like the kind and elderly butler for Bruce Wayne, The Joker = Heath Ledger, hands down. Jack was good, but he wasn't GREAT like Heath. R.I.P. Heath Ledger. Harvey Dent/Two-Face = Aaron Eckhart followed by Tommy Lee Jones. Aaron got more into the character of Two-Face more than Tommy did, I think. Last but not least, Gordon = Gary Oldman. Pat did a good job with the earlier ones, but Gary looked the part better than Pat. If you compared Gary Oldman to the comic version of Gordon, then they would be very close with a few differences.

Both Nicholson and Ledger were brilliant in the versions of the Joker they played, but Nicholson's Joker was, in my opinion, truer to the Joker from the comic books. At least from the stories I like best.
Micheal Keaton was good, but he's NOT Batman. Kilmer was too dry. Clooney was a good Bruce Wayne but he INHO acted pretty much the same as both Bruce and Bats.
Pat Hingle was almost as ineffective as Gordon as the one from the tv show from the sixties. Oldman SO looked the part it was scary.
Cain played a great character, but he simply wasn't Alfred IMHO. Gough, pretty much the same but he was closer to Alfred.
Williams did a good job but let's face it, they basically wanted to have a DA and named him Harvey Dent. There was no similarity to the charcater in the comics at all.
Jones did a good job, but they didn;t let him do much as they concentrated too much on Carrey's Riddler.
IMHO Eckharts performance was great.
I assume you meant to only use the most recent movies, as you missed at least one Batman movie. They did do a movie in the sixties featuring the cast of the aforementioned campy tv show. Hey, it IS a movie and it IS a part of Batman history. ^_^

I was going for the ones beginning with Batman with Michael Keaton to The Dark Knight with Christian Bale. I haven't seen Batman Returns yet. I guess I missed that one. I've seen parts of the TV show.

I think you can probably continue to miss Batman Returns. It was easily the worst of the movies.
