Want to get rid of the annoying adverts? The answer is simple. There are 4 levels of advertising on AnimeOTK:
Level 1: (Your Level, guests and members with 0-9 posts) has maximum advertising.
Level 2: (A user with 10 or more posts who has been a member over two weeks) have vastly reduced advertising (including removal of the large full screen closable adverts)
Level 3: (A member who has been registered over a month and has over 50 posts, or has a special account like "artist" or "writer" sees minimal advertising.
Level 4: (VIP Donators) receive no advertising.
All donators of $10 or more will never see an advert on our site again!

A New Family
(For JC Denton.)
The day was rather hot and muggy in a small American town of Thief River Falls, Minnesota. Three years before, a tragic accident had happened inside a local cenex station. A man that went by the name of Homeboy Jones held up the small convenience store in the middle of town, and a young woman was shot and killed on the spot as she entered to retrieve some cold medicine for her little girl. At the time, her little girl, three-year-old Kalen(though sometimes she likes to go by her middle name, Jean), was being babysat by Erin, a responsibile babysitter. Since that day in 2007, Kalen has been at a local shelter, confused, and on the list for adoption like an animal. There were only two other children in the building up for adoption, there had to be someone that wanted her. Today, Kalen is six years old, and while the two other children played, she sat there, on the cold floor, daydreaming, hoping today was the day she was the one to be adopted as law enforcement and social services entered the building.

Kalen was a very shy little girl, and she just stayed over by the corner with her doll and blanket. She kept her eyes on the floor, not looking up once.
"Over there playing is Hannah Marie, and James Gregory. And over there, in the corner, is Kalen Jean." said a social worker. Hannah and James got up from their playspot, and Hannah curtsied, and James just smiled. Kalen stayed put and sighed, thinking either one, or both would be adopted instead of her.

Hannah was a very snobby little girl, only curtsying for the first impression. James whispered to Hannah, "That sucks, I want a hot chick to adopt me." Hannah just smiled and flipped her hair.
As Kalen was looked at, she turned around to face the inside of the corner.
