It was night again. The sounds of the forest had quieted and now only the hooting of the owls and the chirping of the crickets could be heard. In the center of thisforest lay a small capital, barricaded with a few small stone walls and a wall of tree trunks. A little castle held the king and queen of this little kingdom. But they were fierce fighters, as were their kinsmen. They had a daughter, who was just as fierce a fighter as they, though quite a stunning figure.

She had caught the eye of a young, handsom, gentleman fox, who was smart, but quite over-confident. What he lacked in strength, he made up for in intelligence, though all his smarts did not seem to convince him not to go into their palace. Yet, his heart told him that he had to go and see her again. Thus, he worked his way in without their knowing, just in time to see the object of hs affections leave the banquet hall... he began to follow her...

The princess, Jennifer, (Jen for short) caught a climpse of someone out of the corner of her eye and hid behind a corner of the hallway.

The fox man blinked as he peeked around the corner, only to find that his dear princess had disappeared from view. "Did I miss her?" he quiried, padding his way down the hallway, rubbing his tail a few times as he walked down the hall. He didn't want to be spotted, so he snuck about in the shadows.

Letting out a loud squeak of surprise, the fox groaned as he hit the ground, blinking a few times, trying to get out of his disoriented state. "K-kill? I've never killed a thing in my life, my lady. Honest." He groaned and tried to sit up.

The fox frowned as the knife was drawn on me. "My name? Most just call me Fox Spirit, but if you must put a label on me, I would feel most comfortable with Kitsune." He craned his head and sighed as he laid eyes on her. Even with a knife to his throat, she was quite a spectacle to see. "And my business is that I wished to see you."

He winced as he felt her wrench his arms a little. "Ah... I had often seen you out hunting," he admitted. "I became a little infatuated with your beauty." He gulped a little and curled his toes. "I started watching you from the edge of the forest as you walked about the village... and I wanted to come in here... and... and see you close..." He gulped, becoming a little frightened. "You are more beautiful than any vixen I had seen."
