A dense forest, surrounding a tiny village. The orange light of dawn slowly breaks through the foliage, soon coming through a window of a house near the center of the village.

Within, a small moan was heard. The light had aroused the room's sleeping inhabitant, a young girl, roughly the age of 12, not wanting to be awoken so early. She turns away from the beam of light, giving off another moan as she tries to return to the deep slumber she had been in.

[Crash-Bash]

There was, however, a tantelising smell from the kitchen....of a fresh breakfast being cooked.

The tall dark man, in his mid-30s, smiled. It was a lovely breakfast, certainly, hopefully one that could be enjoyed by everyone.

-- As a beam of light shone onto his face through the pane of his window, he clambered off his bed and to his feet. He was a fairly young boy, aged eleven, and his baby-face was enough to melt anyone's heart.

Shuffling over to his mirror, he quickly combed his crow-feather hair, before making his bed and getting dressed for the day. This was when an extremely pleasant aroma pierced through his door and entered his nose - breakfast was cooking! With a skip and a hop, he bounced through his door and down the hallway to the kitchen. "What's cookin', good lookin'?" He said jokingly to the man in the kitchen. "It smells amazing! Is there anything can help with?"

A beam of light shone down onto the bed of small six year old girl. The light shone brightly on the little girl, but she continued to sleep peacefully as she had wrapped the blanket up around her head in a cocoon. The smell of breakfast began to waft into the room, and the girl subconsciously twitched in her sleep as the aroma reached her. When the smell of breakfast became strong enough, the girl sleepily blinked her eyes and sat up. The blanket pooled onto her lap as she sniffed the air.

Something smells good, she thought sleepily. I wonder what Daddy's making for breakfast? She rubbed her eyes, trying to wake up.

[Crash-Bash]

"Oh, no, it's OK," replied the man, Hayama, as he finished the breakfast, "It's almost ready now."

He turned off the oven and quickly realised the girls were not up yet.

"I'd better go and see what they're up to," he said.

[EmmaliaChan]

"Okay!" The boy said, smiling widely, as he hopped up on one of the chairs at the table. The wafting smell of the food tickled his nostrils, and his stomach growled in anticipation. Squirming excitedly in his chair, he said, "If you need me, let me know!"

The girl, Penny, remained under the covers of her bed, trying to remain asleep. But soon, the scents of breakfast made her awaken. She took a deep breath to inhale the scents. She rubs her eyes as she sits up, still sniffing the air.

The little girl Aly slid out her bed, leaving the blanket half on and half off the bed. Shivering as her warm feet hit the comparatively cool floor, she walked over and opened the door to her room. The smell of breakfast wafted over her, and the little girl's stomach reminded her that it was empty. Now hungry, the girl left her room and went to the kitchen still dressed in her nightgown. She spotted her dad near the oven.

"Hi Daddy," she said, still a little bit sleepy.

[Crash-Bash]

"Good morning, sweetie," said Hayama, going over to Aly and stroking her hair, "And how are you this morning?"

"Hungry, Daddy," replied the girl plaintively, peering up at him with big blue eyes.
