The school is set upon a hilll behind a city. It has a large fountain in the center of the grounds, hence the name. The dorms are first class, and the school, the most elite in the area. The top 8 students in the school are known as the Special A. The SA have a special building only they can enter, and a few rooms in the school only accessible to them.

Mara, ranked 9th in the school, looked up at the SA building. One day, I will be one of them. She thought to herself, walking to her dorm. "I wonder when dodgeball tryouts are?" She wondered to herself. She was one of the best dodgeball players at the school.

Misato, the headmistress of the school (34), sat near the fountain, "Sigh, I wonder what those kids'll get into today." she said with a sigh.

Fuko, #1 of the S.A., walked out of the building, and heard Mara's question as she passed, she paused and replied, "The dodgeball tryouts are next week." she told her. "I hope to see you there." she said with a smile, "I plan to be there myself, though I'm not too sure about me actually trying out." she said looking thoughtful.

Elana looked at the books she was carrying, somewhat depressed. Once again, when she could've made it into the Special A, she screwed up a test and it ruined her chance. She then suddenly bumped into another girl and dropped her books. "Oh! I'm sorry!" She bent down and started picking them up. "Excuse me, I wasn't paying attention." she said.

Mara stumbled a bit. "No, it's fine." She said, helping her pick up the books. When she saw Elena's face, she blushed for a second, then regained her composure. "You're Elena, right? I'm Mara." She greeted.

"Um, yeah." She said, taking her books back. "Um, do I know you?" Elana didn't have too many friends at the school, and spent a lot of her time studying by herself in either the library or her dorm.

"Yeah, I'm the one who is always picked first in dodgeball in Gym class. I also sit right by you in English class." She explained.

Sira had a girl against the wall. "If you ever say anything like that again, you will wish you never came to this school. Got it, bitch?!" She threatened, slamming her into the wall, then walking off.

"Oh, sorry I didn't recognize you." she said with a sheepish smile. "It's just, well, we don't actually talk a lot." She took one hand out from under her books to adjust her glasses. Sadly, that one hand made her drop all her books again. She gave a sigh and started picking them up again. "It never fails. These days are the kind when nothing goes my way."

"No, it's not that. For practically the thousandth time, I almost got into the SA. Then, I bombed a test and they dropped the offer." she said, looking down.

"Ah, same with me. I am ranked 9th, so I am almost there. Hey, maybe we can study together. that way, maybe both of us can get into SA. I mean, the only reason I'm not I was...I was gone for a while early this year. I'd have gotten in if I was able to study." She explained.
