Selena scuffled around a bit while putting the last of the arrangements around. She couldn’t believe her stroke of luck.
That morning had started out like any other.
~Come on guys help me get the cart packed and ready to go! Timba we could use your help over here young bear.” The light brown cub eyed her. Standing with a blade of straw in his mouth.
“I’m busy at the moment,” He said walking off. Selena just rolled her eyes. Then went back to helping the rest of the group.
“Great he’s in THAT mood today is he?” Darcy asked.
“Unfortunately it looks that way.” Selena sighed. “Okay now lets get the smaller ones into their seats Joy, you get to come help me alright.”
“Kay that’s wonderful,” the seven year old chirped happily. She helped pull the two smallest into their seats before helping Kenya into hers as well the three year old grinned.
“We get to eat some of the honey that you sell too, Mamma!”
“We’ll see, Kenni we have honey pops as well today sweetie so lets see how well we can practice using our listening ears.” She told her daughters. “As long as both of you are well good you can have some more honey pops and may stay up a little extra tonight.”
“We will they giggled out.” Selena was grateful for this as these were two of her pretty well mannered set. Kenya seemed to get out of line some times more it was her curiosity that got her into trouble. And Joy she’d just forget she’s 7 and not 27. That came from raising her brothers and sister before they had been adopted. After a good hour in the cart and fifteen to twenty minutes of setting up. Babies in their play yard, the girls having their toys out sitting playing quietly. Selena was free to watch the tables, and watch the cubs at play.
The two older girls sat on the ground content tossing a ball back and forth. They were coming up with funny saying and things as they caught it.

“Pretty Wings”

“Swing higher then the swing!” Selena had to laugh at this. Was pretty funny.
Selena stood seeing a customer browsing over her blankets and quilts.
“How are you this very day?” Selena asked greeting them. “All of these blankets, quilts and clothing are home made with my very hands. The honey over there are in many different flavors, made with the bee I have around my home as well as the fruits that flavor some those two are grown from the same plants as my jams are. Made freshly as soon as they are picked. Do you have any questions please do ask? I’d be only to glad to answer them.

One of Selena's other adoptive cubs was Saphire, a young blue fured cub caught between been a cub and adulthood. Like most of Selena's charges, Saphire had a dark past althought she didn't always show it. been fourteen, she often helped around the huse with cooking, laundry, or watching the younger cubs when Selena was busy.

She was pretty for her age, but she didn't view herself as it. The verbal abuse of her past homes had shattered the young females self confidence and it something broke she often took the blame or appologies when someone yelled at her.

"Parden me..." She was currently carrying a large basket of freshly dried sheets for the beds back in and trying to dance her way around the tiny bears' toys. "Sorry... coming throw... AHHH!"

she lost her footing on a small ball and went tumbling to the floor, the sheets flying about the room. She was unhurt physically, but her scolded herself mentally for being a cluts and making a mess.

Darlita spoke to her newly adopted sister, “No, no its alright things get messy here all the time small accedents are expected. As a rule of thumb we say at least ten accedents a day is a pretty normal day.”
“She’s not going to get mad?”
“No forget it Mothers never mad about things like this, she’s very easy to please. Loves the extra help too.” Hearing the hooves, the window seemed to be swarming with little eyes peeking out over the edge.
“Well hello guys” selena greeted, “What a greeting!”
“Mamma, why you back now suns not going down?” Selena smiled and picked up her four year old.
“Because were going to have company for dinner, Skyla.”
“Really who?”
“Some people I met in town. Visitors they’d like a place for resting up and something to eat. I told them to go ahead. So why not do me a favor and go clean up your room then see about the guest rooms.” K the small girl squeeked out. The others ran off. As she pick the two sleeping cubs up. Joy you go ahead and help them, I’m going to let Bliss, Chace, and Kenya sleep a bit longer.”
“Alright.” She said running off. Seeing her other cub sitting on the step she sighed. The girl had not spoken once since she arrived. Once putting the smaller ones in their approrate rooms. Selena walked back out.
“How’s your day Shanda?” The girl looked up her eyes still sad as she clung to her yellow teddy bear a bit tighter. “Come on up here sweetie.” Selena said while picking the child up and setting her on her lap a moment the Gummi tried to spend at least ten minutes out of her day to spend with each cub. A long task yes but something she felt she needed to do seeing that she never had family.
“I wish you’d come out of your shell and talk a bit little one. But you know what for now why not go and gather some pretty wild flowers for the tables. I think we’ll be eating outside since theres so many tonight and the skys are pretty enough. No ran even threatens us, I’ll even set up the fires so you kids can make your own dinners. How about it foil dinners?” This got the girl’s face grinning as she took off. Selena set about working on some of the other tasks as they prepared for their dinner guests. Seeing her oldest son working with the weapons training as his mentor had taught him Selena called out,
“Timmy come here,” Looking annoyed he walked over, “You’ve heard what’s going on try and not to attack anyone. Any trouble from you and there will be trouble FOR you understood.”
“Fine what ever.”
“No not what ever, give me those you need to go and help the others for right now understood?”
“Not doing a thing ‘cept train.”
“You don’t and I’ll see to it Ursa does not let you train for a few days clear?” Timmy grumbled as he walked off. Selena just gave the boy a half swat, “Do not take that up with me Timba, or we will be talking clear?” He just nodded again and walked off.
Seeing their guests walking up Selena walked to the end of her path,
“Greetings friends did you have trouble finding the place?”

Saphire still looked down hearted as she quickly gathers and refolded the linings. Even if Selena had often told her mistakes and acciedents were okay, she had still not recovered from her fear of being hit.

"I know, but still..." She looked up hearing about guests coming and paniced. She wasn't even halfway done with her chores, a common mistake of hers as she often mixed herold sets in with Selena's list of chores for her. "Ahh1 company!"

Several of the younger cubs laughed little as Saphire started to pull double time, running from room to room dusting, change sheets and making rooms and tossing forgotten toys into their chests or wherever they were suppose to be. The young girl often acted like a hen with it's head off.

'Almost... there!' She smiled in triumph as she made the last of her beds just before comapny arrived and hurried down to greet and help sever the visitors. She was in such a rush she forgot to tame her currently messy hair or that she had yet to clean her own room. "Welcome to our home."

"Please come and join us we set out fixings for foil dinners, as well as hotdogs so that the children can make their own meals over the fire. Just let me help you get your things into the bedrooms. Then we should be fine. What5 was your name again I forgot." Selena asked trying to remember as she scratched the top of her head.
"These are my cubs, Saphire, Darcy, Timmy, Joy, Shanda, Skyla, Kenya, Chace and Bliss my son Elliot happens to be training with his father at the moment. He's had the privlage of training under him as his squire." Selena.
"Weither or not my mate will be around tonight I don't know depends on whats going on. but don't freak if you see him walking in. His name is Ecri." Selena said smiling pulling Bliss into her arms.

Saphire curtsied to the guest and smiled softly at the young gummi boy who was looking at her. He was muscular and tall with a kind face, possibly a squire in training as well. She quickly looked down and avoided his eyes.

"Mother, I'm sure ouyr guests would like to know where they are to stay tonight," Saphire offered as she looked at Selena. "I can do that."

"That would be fine, and we can have your parent sit down and relax as much as you can with all that goes on around here. Sorry the place is still a bit messy. Its hard to keep eveyrthing clean." Selena told her. As Saphire took the small boy to show him a room
