The school bell rang at Takashi's high school. It would be the last time he heard that sound for two months for it was the start of summer vacation. Takashi leaves through the gate and heads to pick up Rin from school. No doubt she'll be overjoyed that it is Summer vacation and that means she'll be quite a handful. Their parents had left on a long summer vacation and left Takashi in charge of taking care of Rin. He let out a sigh for this meant he'd have to discipline her more than he usually did... which wasn't often actually. His mother and father took care of her punishments most of the time... the only times he had to spank her was when their parents were out which was a rare occurrence. Now it'll be two whole months without them... "This will be one heck of a summer..." He mumbled to himself as he looked up to the clear blue summer sky above. Her school wasn't too far from his and it was not long before he arrived at the gate.

It was a gorgeous day, Rin noticed, as she bounced out the doors after the final bell. Finally, the ever-so-revered summer vacation that she was waiting for! She regretted that her parents wouldn't be around, but she still had her brother. Skipping down the pathways and humming as her red pigtails blew back behind her, she saw her brother and waved, rushing towards him and squealing, 'Onii-chaaaaan!'

Throwing her arms around him in a hug, she exclaimed, "It's finally summer vacation! Finally! Finall-eeeee!" Taking his hand, she looked up at him with a smile, eager to get home to feel like the school year was officially over.

Takashi waves at her as he sees her coming toward him, hearing her over enthusiastic voice. When she wrapped her arms him in a hug, he did the same and laughed. "That it is, Rin." He said as she took his hand. "So what do you want to do now?" He asked as they walked along the sidewalk.

Rin opened her mouth to quickly say home, but she looked up at him with a pleading pout. It was hot out, and there was one thing she loved more than anything on a hot day. "Ice cream? To celebrate?" She asked sweetly.

Takashi thought for a moment. "Hmm how about some Popsicles instead?" He suggested.

She frowned and shook her head, giving her foot a little halfhearted stomp. Popsicles were no substitute for the real thing. "But Popsicles are gross! Ice cream is better..."

Takashi chuckled. "Alright, alright, ice cream it is." He said. "But not too much... I don't want you ruining your apatite for dinner." He said as he took her to an Ice-cream shop nearby. "What flavor do you want?"

Rin grinned, pleased, and bounced along beside him towards the shop. "Chocolate, please!" Nothing was better than chocolate ice cream.

"Alright wait here and I'll get it." He said as he walked in. A moment or two later, he returns with a small paper cup full of a single scoop of chocolate with a plastic spoon and hands it to her. "Here you go." He said.

Rin grinned and happily started eating her ice cream, finishing it off in record time and squinting when she got a brain freeze. Rubbing her forehead, she whined, "Urrr, brain freeze!"
