Cecilia kneeled on the wet stones of her cell, looking up at the ceiling where an iron grate was perfectly placed so that her bastard of a master could look out of his window and see her. It was late, and usually the moonlight would be filtering into her cell by now but tonight it was storming and the rain poured down on her head instead. If she'd been human she would have gotten ill from prolonged exposure to the cold and wet, but she did not suffer from such ailments.

Even so, she did not enjoy the feeling of cold rain soaking her to the bone, but she could not move far enough to get to a dry section of her cell. Both of her wrists and ankles were bound with heavy iron manacles. The ones on her feet were connected to a chain that could not have been longer than a foot, the ones on her hands were a bit longer but not to the point where she would be able to stand. If you were close enough to look you would see the skin under and around the manacles was bruised and chafing from her attempts to pull free. Her master feared her, that was why he bound her so tightly, but she was helpless as long as this damned collar was around her neck.

She had no idea where the man that had captured her had gotten the collar, only that one day she had been ambushed and that thing had been placed around her neck cutting her off from the powers that were hers by right. Now she could only unleash them at her master's command, and she'd had many masters over the years but the current one was one of the worst. She fantasized about murdering him in very painful and bloody ways, but that was also impossible since she could not raise a hand against her master herself. No. She needed someone else to do it for her, a pawn she could control...

Vince momentarily glances from side to side as he reaches the top of the wall surrounding the rival family's compound. His father had wanted him to butt out of the situation, ready to strike a deal with the rival head in order to prevent the “secret weapon” that is spoken of so openly from being targeted at him. To Vince, though, his father is showing nothing but weakness, and no longer is fit to head the Donnelly family business. Preferring a more active approach, he intends to learn the nature of this “weapon” and put a stop to it. Of course, if it really is so powerful, stealing it for himself wouldn't be a bad idea, either. Not only would he put down the DeAngelo family's attempts at superiority, but he could displace his father as head of his own.

Satisfied that his entrance has been unnoticed, he drops down to the muddy ground below. While the rain chills him to the bone, he knows that the inclement weather gives him ample cover. The family's guards would try to stay out of the rain as much as possible, leaving several opportunities for him to sneak around the estate without interference. He would still have to find a way into the building, though, without raising an alarm.

Considering what he knows of the building's layout, though, he makes his way over to the side of the home where the family's leader would rest his weary head at night. If nothing else, killing the head of the family would throw them off for a few days, giving him more time to make a plan against this weapon of theirs. As he creeps through the bushes, he passes what he assumes to be a storm grate in the ground, and steps around it.

Cecilia sensed the new human coming into the compound, and she listened as he made his way over the wall and into the muddy courtyard below without being noticed. She was surprised because she had not thought anyone had the balls to openly go against her current master and try to sneak into his stronghold. She followed the mans progress across the grounds until he was standing outside the grate above her cell. Due to the darkness and the rain she was not able to make him out clearly, but he looked to be a young man and he certainly looked like he was up to no good.

She couldn't let this opportunity pass her up, not if he could be the one to free her from her current hell. "Whose there?" she called out, pitching her voice to carry to the man but not much farther than him. She needed him to become aware of her so she could try and convince him to kill her master and free her. If she were lucky this man would also be the type that she could manipulate easily enough, especially if he bought her 'helpless victim' act.

Vince stops in his tracks, immediately pulling a weapon from his jacket pocket with a deceptively fluid motion. He spins around and levels the handgun with his center of mass, ready to put a bullet into the chest of whoever comes into his sights. He shows no hesitation, mostly because the firearm is silenced, and the rainfall will be sufficient to muffle any noise that still manages to escape the barrel.

“Who's there? Show yourself, you coward!”

He pivots his aim back and forth, trying to keep as much area in his potential line of fire as possible. Having only heard the voice once, he wasn't able to get a good idea of what direction it was coming from, so he's only sure that it came from somewhere behind him at the moment. He would only have to hear it once more, though, to triangulate the source. He keeps himself focused for any sound that may give away the interloper's presence. For a moment, he considers offering a deal for the other person to just walk away without any trouble, but he realizes that none of the guards in the compound would be likely to take that offer.

Cecilia smiled a little as he whipped out a gun and spun around as she spoke, he seemed to be the perfect type for what she needed-trigger happy. He was also cautious and dangerous, which did not surprise her since she assumed he was from one of the other crime families that her current master had been targeting lately. He called out for her to show herself and she shifted her weight to try and get a better look at him, her chains clinking loudly at the movement.

"I'm down here, under the grate. Please help me, he's had me chained up down here for a very long time." She said, once again carefully pitching her voice to not carry further than him. Luckily for her, her current master trusted the power of the collar to be enough to keep her restrained down here since it cut her off from her natural strength so she could not break the chains, and he had not posted a guard at the door to her cell. There was only one way into her cell, and that was through a tunnel that connected to her masters bedroom.

Vince inches closer to the grate, trying to get a better look at the woman that the voice belongs to. The nose of his weapon becomes visible before he does, though, peeking over the top of the iron bars for a few moments prior to his head and shoulders following suit. Now that he can fully examine the scene before him, he surveys her cell anxiously to completely understand the situation. Satisfied that she is telling the truth, though, his mood sways from caution to indifference.

“Well, you're quite a looker, and I'm sure that there's no shortage of guys who would love to play hero for you, but I have bigger fish to fry. The lord of this manor, or whatever he wants to call himself, has something that's been causing others like me a lot of trouble, and I intend to either dispose of it, or take it for my own. Sorry, but playing knight in shining armor for any damsel in distress that comes along just isn't in my itinerary.”

With that, he loses interest as quickly as it was gained, turning on his heels to once again consider his best options for entering the dwelling. He keeps his gun at the ready, however, just in case the pretty hostage decides to turn the guards on him for not coming to her rescue.

She watches how he reacts with caution to her voice, creeping closer to the grate in her cell and aiming a weapon at her just in case she were dangerous. He was certainly smarter than her current master, that was for sure. However, she was surprised when he did not offer to rescue her, many other men would have and she had gotten quite a few masters that way. Still, he was a chance at getting out of here and so when he started to turn away from her she spoke up again.

"I know what that weapon is, what it does, and I know how you can get it but you must promise to do as I say or else you will fail." She called up to him, dangling the possibility of acquiring the weapon for himself over his head to try and see if he would take the bait. He interested her at least, she would have to wait and see if he could be useful to her. The worst that could happen to her is that he would be killed and she would be punished for trying to aid an enemy, but she was punished nearly every day anyway just for being a monster so the thought did not cause her much distress.

Vince groans inwardly, seemingly disturbed by the simple fact that this woman is still bothering to try to talk to him. After a moment of thought, and making sure that they were still unnoticed, he slinks back over to the grate and gazes in with weapon drawn.

“And what reason do I have to believe that a mere captive has even the slightest clue of what I seek? I am sure that you would say just about anything to be released from your current predicament. I'm surprised that you haven't offered your body to me, yet. If you are so sure of what you claim, then provide me with something that proves that you speak the truth, and not just pretty words from a pretty face?”

Although, deep inside his thoughts, he does find it curious that she mentioned that it is a weapon that he's seeking, since he never actually mentioned that to her. She does appear to know something, but he has to know how much before he decides if she's worth wasting his time on.

She chuckled when she heard him groan, not caring if the sound carried up to him or not. She thought it was funny that he was so irritated by this turn of events. Messing with humans in general amused her. He came back then, his weapon still pointed at her even though she was not an obvious threat to him. Again with that caution. He spoke then and she scoffed at his comment about her offering her body to him, as if she would ever do something so demeaning. The prick obviously did not have any respect for women, but still, anything was better than her current owner, right?

"He uses it to intimidate the rest of the mafia families in the area, telling them that if they do not submit to his rule then they will be annihilated. Just to prove that he was speaking the truth he set this weapon on his biggest competition, and the next day the man and everyone in his home was murdered. Down to the last little baby in it's crib. They were completely drained of blood but there was no blood stains anywhere to be found...believe me now?" She asked, her tone a little taunting but she didnt care. She was giving him details that had never been released to the news, things that only the mafia families knew about.

Vince raises an eyebrow, but does not take his aim away from the women below. While he wouldn't want to admit it, he has to accept that she knows what she's talking about, or at least has heard enough rumors from the guards to know what's going on. If she knows that much, therefore, she might really have an idea of where to find the weapon that she's speaking of. It would be worth a shot, at least.

“So, I help you out of his little hole, and you tell me where I can find the weapon? Is that the deal that you're offering me? I hope that you're bringing more to the table than that. I have faith that I could find the weapon on my own, without taking precious time breaking you out of this hole. So, unless you've got an ace up your sleeve, you're not giving me enough to care.”

If this girl did know something, then it would be far more beneficial to trick her into telling him, than having to bust her out of her cage and bring her along. All that he needs is an idea of where to find the weapon, and he could be on his way.
