I understand what you mean, I don't think a few (slightly overused) ideas by a few very active roleplayers should overshadow everything else, but there's always the option of creating a new thread yourself.
BTW, is there going to be a ruleset regarding roleplaying activities? Like whether or not its okay to depict graphic sex and other "edgy" stuff? I think it's wholly unnecessary to have that kind of moderation on what could essentially be labeled a pornsite on behalf of the gallery, but then I don't know if theres some kind of legal issue or whatnot.

Oh no, I could have come up with stuff, but half the time my head was just not working, I could think of stuff but I didn't think it would be good enough to garner attention, or that my simple ideas of just M/f, would be a desire to anyone since it seemed so bland.
I would imagine since there is a disclaimer now on the front for new people maybe its a bit safer, but I would think using your own judgment might be best, or I should say... if its legal play it out, if its wrong hit the gong. I'd imagine consensual sex between an adult and child would be out at least in public sections, but that's just my views.

Pokemon-Spanker were a minority at AOTK. I'd even say, Anime-RPs were a minority. Most was normal fantastic or domestic/educational setting. OK, Mastervegeta or Kager had 40.000 posts or so, but they both write one liners. Lets say 3 years = 1000 days, maybe 50 posts a day. You can write 50 sentences a day without spending every waking moment, if you write fast you need an hour a day.
If you were not on the main stream as I, you had to search a bit for a 'good' RP but you could find it. It is more difficult now. I am not sure how many of the roleplayers know about NC, I would say the most. If you google for AOTK alternative or so you will find it. I found it. ^^

Well, assumed you are a role player and try to find a new place to RP because AnimeOTK is down and you lost your RP partners and google for it, then you should find it. If I enter "AnimeOTK down" it is the second hit.
