“Definitely correct. The world of electronics and computers has made themselves not only a valuable asset, but necessary to the majority of society. Of course that makes them an excellent target for all sorts of endeavors.”

He stopped in his little speech as he pondered the last portion of what she had said. He was pretty confident he knew exactly what she was referring to. It amused him slightly, not that anyone could tell from that ever-bored looking stare he was currently possessing.

“Of course.” He continued. “There is always the chance that there is someone, or several someones who surpass your own knowledge. That is why you have to keep sharp and never simply assume you can, excuse the casual speech, ‘beat them.’” He mimicked a gesture of quoting someone as he spoke the last two words, relaxing in his chair a tad. “The world of hacking goes far beyond direct results though. Far beyond.” He didn’t go into the topic any further than that however.

The kit nodded at his comments, ears in attention as she tried to understand his everyword. She would have missed his amusd expresion if she hadn’t been looking directly at him from her trange position.

Her tail, which had just continued to go one side to the other, stopped completly once more as he commented the last part. It was true, she couldn’t just “beat them” at least not now, that’s why she had to become better, if well not to beat them all, to manage to get out of their traps unscathered. To not to repeat that experience, once it was ended up quite ok, but a next one, she was sure, would get her in more trouble than not.

She looked at him as he reaxed, his last comment having been said.

She looked at her boots for a few moments while she thought about it, and finally nodded in afirmation, waiting for either him continuing or she scampering away. Either would be goor.

Encryption watched her for a few moments. Just a wordless stare without any hint of his current thoughts. It could be assumed that he had something on his mind though. He always did. He clasped his hands together, bringing them up to rest under his chin for a few moments. His gaze had left the kit by then and was trained rather somewhere slightly to her left at nothing in particular. He closed his eyes momentarily and then opened them yet again.

“But enough of that for now.” Encryption smiled lightly. “You are free to do as you wish.” The tip of his tail twitched once before he added. “Within the usual limits that is.”

The kit looked at him as he seemed to think in something, she kept quiet and looked at him, her ears turned to him as a curious kit's, he seemed like if he was going to say something.

Yet at the end, he didn't, she found that a bit strange but just shrugged it off and nodded.

The reddish kit nodded at his comment of being able to do whatever she wanted.

"Awr" She said jokingly as he commented about the "Within the limits" rule.

She then began to plot, well it was afternoon already, only matter of time before he went to bed, but meanwhile she couldn't risk to get caught by practicing hacking right now. So she decided to study her notes and such, without using the hacking system and then talking a bit to the kit she knew by the net.

She remained on her strange position, just opened her laptop again.

Encryption left his chair after his statement. He knew she was only kidding with her little exclamation about being within the limits. He didn’t mind it of course. Contrary to the popular belief of those who knew him in a business sense, he wasn’t a total killjoy.

He left the room then and ventured into the kitchen for a glass of water. As he sipped at it, he gazed at the currently closed off window in the room thoughtfully and took another sip of water then. He set the glass down, leaving the room once more and then returned to where he had left Crash.

“Also, I didn’t mention it earlier. Tomorrow I have a meeting to attend. Well…informal meeting. You can come with if you like or stay here, whichever you prefer.”

He didn't wait for an answer since he was merely relaying info as far as he was concerned and soon enough he had turned away again having left the room.

Crash had just been checking her notes on what had just been learned, while lying on her back over the box when her Master came back, her ears went up as she turned her head to look at him, her legs were up while the computer rested on her stomach.

A meeting.

She began to think.

“Yeah, thanks Master” She said, mostly to herself as he was gone by then, and she connected into a undetectable messenger.

Her tail went one side to the other.

Well, maybe that would be good, she would have time to keep practicing if she stayed, not that she really enjoyed any kind of meeting that didn’t envolved pizza, payment, or the other cat in said meeting shutting up and letting them work.

She looked at the clock.

That would give her a great boost if he wouldn’t be around.

Checking the messenger she sighed and closed it again. Her friend wasn’t connected...

She began to review her new and old notes again, she would put that to work tonight and tomorrow, when Master left.

Encryption always tried to give the kit adequate privacy—well from time to time anyway. He never pried into her personal life or really asked questions about what she was doing. He wasn’t entirely sure if that was considered a good thing or simply being disinterested. It wasn’t out of disinterest that he didn’t ask though. He probably wouldn’t have been interested in it, no, but he’d have been more than willing to interest.

Watching out for a kit was a whole lot different than hacking electronics, that was for sure. Oh well, he supposed it worked the same way—trial and error. Although he had wondered about a few of her behavioral patterns today, he knew kits could do seemingly odd things. Of course his mind was still telling him that things that didn’t quite check out should be looked into. If what he considered to be strange continued he’d probably have to do just that, but for now?

He returned to the kitchen, searching the drawers and fridge to see what sorts of supplies they currently had. He’d make her something for dinner before venturing off into his room. It was a good thing the kit was not a picky eater since Encryption was certainly not the best chef.

He eventually settled for cooking some macaroni and cheese—he managed to follow the directions on the package for that. He left the pot on the stove then to cool and down. He knew that Crash could find a bowl or plate or whatever it was she would choose to eat with so he moved on to his room.

Crash kept reading her notes, until she felt that she had reached an adecuate level of knowledge.

After that she waited, she played a bit of videogames here and there. Then her ears picked up the sound of the oven finishing cooking something, now that she thought about it she was kinda hungry.

She let the laptop over her box, with a last message to her unconected friend.

‘Man, you’re never around’ She wrote and then went to the kitchen.

She took a plastic bowl and served herself some food, then, seeing that Encryption was in his room, sneaked back to the “hacking room” and began to eat, ears trying to make out any sound, to see when her Master went to bed and she could take the hacking on her hands, to practice today's lesson and review.

Encryption didn’t have any intentions of bothering Crash. He had no reason to spy on the kit or anything. He was sure she was probably just doing whatever kits did—well…pretty sure anyway. Sure enough for the time being that it wouldn’t affect him sleeping at least. Besides, he needed to make sure he got a decent amount of rest tonight if he was to meet another cat the following day.

He actually knew the other cat quite well—as well as anyone that was. Encryption wasn’t particularly close to most cats, preferring to keep his distance and stick to the computers and such. Either way, that was a task to worry about when it came about.

With a sigh the white and gray cat reclined on his bed, hands folded behind his head as he gazed up towards the ceiling—of course his room was dark though since the light was off and door closed—not to mention all the blinds. He was half heartedly pondering setting up a sort of complex security system to record what Crash was doing. Granted he hadn’t a clue what she was truly up to, but being a kit and learning all kinds of complex hacking…could lead one to showing off. He should probably check to make sure his little apprentice wasn’t causing trouble for the whole city. He yawned, and let himself drift to sleep.


The other kit (who shall remain vague for a post or two cuz I just realized I forgot to name or come up with a design for em ._. ….)had been out most of the day then upon getting home she had opted to get some food and washed up before venturing to her computer. Sometimes she was more regular about checking messages and such than others. It sort of depended on what she had going on.

She sighed contently as she flopped down onto her bed, pulling the laptop from beside it onto her lap. She took a sip of the milk she had brought with her , setting it to the side of her bed as her computer finally had loaded. It wasn’t long before she had found a message from Crash waiting there.

“Sorry! Really should check the messages more often. Lol. I’m still alive! Honest! :P You been okay?” She checked over the message quickly and hit send.

Crash was pretty much silent about everything she did, even if she knew that her Master usually slept at these hours and slept well she didn’t want to risk waking him waking up and finding her.

She was surprised as the little messenger window came, yet smiling slightly she answered.

“Fsssst” It was the written sound of a mock hiss. “Really, I wasondering if you got eaten by your “fans”. And yep, I’m ok.” She wrote and finished her food as she reviewed her notes, trying to make a mental plan of what would she do today.

“BRB” She wrote and got up, taking the bowl with her, she washed it and put it on its place before tiptoing to her room and getting a candy bar and another can of redbull.

She took a long sip and immediatly it woke her up, she ate her bar, washed her paws and returned to the hacking room.

“Back” She wrote and streched a bit. “You didn’t die again, did you?” She typed and finished her plan.

The other kit smirked at Crash's reply and rolled her eyes dismissively. She took another sip of milk as she saw the brb post. That was fine with her, gave her time to fish the darn fur out of her milk that had just fallen in. She prodded at it with one finger, eventually managing to capture it. When she glanced at her screen again Crash had already returned and was inquiring as to if she were dead or alive. The kit's smile returned.

"Still alive and well. Just fishing fur out of milk." She set the milk aside once again. "Doing anything amazing and exciting?" She typed, which of course was just a fancy way of asking what Crash had been up to.

Crash made a face as she read about the fur and she prepared, smirking as she read the question.

"Of course, but it's top secret, talking about which I have to go )=, cuz I gotta be awesome and such, if you're around in a few hours I'll be back!"

She prepared, knowing better than to have the messenger open when she was hacking.

"Don't drink fur =P and don't die ;_;" She wrote and then added a "byyee" Before desconnecting and waiting, she reseted her computer, erasing all her previous activity from radar before connecting to the hacking net and getting to work.

She had to study hard, and work hard. Maybe then...

She smiled and got to work harder than before.
