Of Fangs and Dresses (For PS)

Nikki woke up with a loud yawn and gave his lithe body a hard stretch, curling and twisting to work out all of the kinks in his body and hopefully help himself wake up a bit. The first thing that confused the boy when his mind jump-started, before he even opened his mismatched colored eyes, was the fact that he was sleeping on something as soft as a cloud, which was strange to him as he was used to sleeping on hard surfaces, maybe straw-filled sacks if he was particularly lucky. The feeling of the soft cloud beneath him was heavenly as he continued to stretch his body and the young male let out a content little moan just as he finished.

Then, when he opened his eyes, Nikki gasped loudly. The soft cloud had turned out to be a bed that was a thousand times fancier than anything he'd even seen, let alone slept on! When he sat up, he almost felt disappointed as his head left the pillow, but that didn't last too long as his brain was hijacked by the sight that was laid before him.

Nikki had found himself in a fabulously luxurious room. The room itself was twice as big as most houses and was filled with all kinds of draperies, fabric, and furniture, the kind that had previously only been in Nikki's dreams. Where was he? Had he died and gone to Heaven? Nikki had been nothing more than a low-born urchin, barely of age, and had to work all day, every day to have just enough necessities for half of a human to survive.

The first pang of a headache hit him soon after that. His mind was fully awake by then and was protesting this as much as it could, none too happy with this confusing situation. As another pang hit him, Nikki groaned and clutched at the side of his head with a delicate hand while his cat ears laid flat against his head and his tail twitched in annoyance. "Ow..." The boy muttered under his breath as he closed his eyes, mismatched of green and blue.

After a few more sharp notes ringing in his head, Nikki opened his eyes back up and looked down at himself, noticing that he still wore his old, crummy clothes. He tried to think about how he had ended up here, where he'd been last night, what had happened, or where 'here' even was, but that just made the headache worse and Nikki decided not to think too much about it. Instead, he'd do what all kitties did best and act on it.

Slowly sliding off of the bed, Nikki stood up and made his way towards the door to open it, the first step of exploration. His curiosity was entirely piqued now. He would find out what this place was and how he'd gotten here. All he needed to do was explore a little and form some context clues. At least, Nikki hoped it would be that easy.

As Nikki came close to the door his nose would soon be fillwed iwth a wounderful scent. fresh food was sitting beneath a silver dome on a little serving table to the right of the door before he could step out. There he would would find some deliciously prepared crepes bacon, eggs and some orange juice. Should Nikki however venture out in to teh hall he would come across a man taller than he with long whispy blood red hair in taught form fitting blackened leather armor. The green eyes guardian was leaned up against a wall looking rather broadly. He would simply smile and wave at the boy who peer out.

As soon as Nikki's nostrils were bombarded with the tantalizing smell of bacon. His stomach gave a loud grumble and Nikki pressed a hand to it, realizing just how hungry he was. Wherever he was... he knew that he deserved some food for whatever craziness he was being put through. With a firm nod to complete this resolved attitude, Nikki opened the door and immediately saw a tall man with fiery hair and bright green eyes.

The kitten's resolve withered away within the second and with a squeak, he slammed the door shut. Nikki opened it again a moment later to peer out once more and when he saw the man again, he quickly shut the door again, though a bit less harsh this time. Nikki pressed himself against the door and wondered what to do with himself. He hadn't actually thought about what to do when meeting whoever did whatever this was to him.

Then, Nikki started to get self-conscious. He looked down at how messy he was and blushed wildly. His clothes were awful and stained. His silvery hair was as messy as it always was. Worst of all, he hadn't taken a bath yet, so he might have smelled bad, too, for all he knew. With a frustrated sigh, Nikki lightly tapped his head against the door and then immediately winced as it only agitated the headache that had been dying down.

Softly Xearon knocked on the door only a few minutes later. "Hello?" He called gently hoping to hear a response before he tried the door in an attempt to enter the room. The red ehadded guardian had been given specific instructions to watch over the master's new ward. He was to attend to him and make sure he had everything he needed and to make sure he didn't go poking his nose in to rooms he wasn't allowed in. "Hello- Nikki?" He called softly. "It's alright- My name is Xearon." he said gently trying his best to be welcoming to the new house mate.

After all what was one to do with a scardy cat? Xearon was waiting for him to awaken and have is breakfast before making sure the lad had a decent washing and put on a pair of fresh clothes. He had been told to ensure he was presentable by the time the Master returned home.

Nikki backed away from the door when he heard Xearon's voice and when the man came in and introduced himself, Nikki blushed pink, unable to keep himself from looking the man over. He didn't let that happen for too long, though, giving his head a shake to get himself to focus. "I'm... Nikki, but you knew that... how do you know my name? Where am I? What am I doing here?" The questions just came blurting out of him at light-speed. The catboy's curiosity surged like an inferno inside of him, demanding to be quelled and consuming all of his thoughts in the process.

Nikki took a seat down on the bed and twiddled with his tail, a little nervous. He could feel his heart pumping hard and his ears would twitch occasionally as he looked on at Xearon expectantly with wide eyes. However, Nikki realized that he may have been coming off too meekly for the first impression and so he puffed his chest out, held his head up, and his look became more determined. It's only a shame that it was mostly a facade.

"Hush now- have some breakfast all will be revealed to you with in time. " Xearon spoke gently s he moved to fetch some clean clothing form one of the dressers and laid them out on the bed. "I've been told that you are to take a bath and get washed up. I'll draw a bath for you whilst your attending to your breakfast. The Master has requested audience with you immediately upon his return." Xearon explained before hearing for the other door in the room and stepping in to the large luxurious bath.

Nikki huffed indignantly when he had been told to hush by Xearon. Nikki stuck his tongue out at him while he was fetching some clothes, but quickly stopped when the man was facing him again. With a frustrated groan, Nikki hopped back down off of the bed and said, "Fine, fine. I'll do as you say, but I had better get some answers soon!" Nikki's tone was quite insistent. Then, he peeked his head into the bath to see just how fancy this place really was.

After Nikki's curiosity was sated a little bit more, he walked over to the tray full of food and plucked it up, carrying it back over to the bed. When his nose was once again bombarded with the enticing smells of fresh food, his stomach gave another loud growl as hunger clawed at him. All he knew now, though, was that he was hungry enough to eat a horse. He ate quite ravenously, not even stopping to savor the tastes. The crepes were the first to go and the eggs soon followed after that. When only the slices of bacon were left, he set the tray down, picked the bacon up, and walked over to the bath to once again peek in on Xearon curiously, munching on the crunchy bacon as he watched.

The redhead stood there adding bath salts and bubble mix to make the bath much more enjoyable. He set out a few fluffy clean towel and was fetching a tooth brush. "Yes child?" Xearon asked with out having to look up or turn towards Nikki's direction. Xearon seemed to know just where Nikki was. Soon the red head drew back some curtains allowing in an array of bright colored light through magnificent stained glass windows on to the marble flooring around them.
