While Moe didn't need any help in the kitchen, she did sign for both Mary and Ray to join her. The new pup was feeling cornered and just as any caged animal that's hurt, it was best to allow them some ease by giving them distance. This would give Ulrick also some time to get to know her and maybe bond a bit with her. If giving the pair a few minutes solo time, maybe Willow would see that there was a chance they could be friends.



And a friend was something the pup needed.

Alone now in the room, Willow eyed the man before with utter unease. It was sort of like running into a wild deer in the woods wit a hurt leg. You'd want to help it but know if you moved too fast, you would scare it away. But she didn't stay standing long before her legs started to hurt and she limped towards the bed, forcing herself to accept sitting close to the stranger.

And in silence they sat until she finally couldn't handle it any more.

"So... these are you're cousin's cloth?" She pulled lightly at the pink overalls. "I'm guessing she liked pink a lot."

Ulrick sat near the girl in silence, not wanting to make her feel as if he was prying on her, he waited for her to speak and when she did he gazed at her, she seemed uncomfortable right now, but that was mostly normal due what had happened, he was, in fact, concerned about her, even if he didn't know her she was part of his kind, he had a leader's mentality and anyone that came without wanting trouble was someone who was to be welcomed and heard.

The young wolf had to smile at the question and he rubbed the back of her neck.

"Yes, well, she has always liked pink and yellow, we'll try to get you some clothes for yourself soon though." He told her with a gentle smile. "I would have given you my clothes, but the ones I had when I was younger are gone, they were ripped beyond salvation."

"Thanks. Pink isn't really me."

Again the silence fell between them and slowly became uncomfortable. It was like being on a forced blind date and wishing against everything known to man that you could get out of it. That, or waking up to the ugliest person you knew and then wondering whether or not you did the nasty with them.

Okay, maybe it wasn't that extreme but with the way Willow was eying the room, Ulrick might as well had thought that was how she felt. She was looking for escape routes, what and where her exits were. She contemplated whether or not if she could make it to the front door before he could stop her, even going as far as pushing herself slightly out of the chair, only to remember that her slight case of retard legs and sat down again.

Oh yes, there was no doubt to anyone, except maybe Mary Jane, that first chance she got, Willow was gonna make a run for it.

"Alright, here we go. One tuna, egg and cucumber sandwhich on full whole grain bead." Mow called as she returned and placed the plate before the young pup. "Now, make sure to take these for your leg before you finish it. I'll take Mary with me now so that you two can settle down and get to know each other-"

"Wait a minute. I'm staying with him?" Willow shoot a nervous look at Ulrick and Ray. "You're gonna leave me with not just two guys, but the same guy that got me to step into a bear trap-"

"Fox trap."

"What?"

"It was a fox trap, not a bear trap," Moe explained. "A bear trap would have taken your leg clean off."

"Whatever. The same two that chased me into a fox trap, jumped me, spa... and hit me," Willow fought against the blush painting her cheeks. "Is that what you're telling me?"

"It's what our Alpha has demanded." Moe stated with a sense of easy finality as if she was discussing the weather. Mary had already picked up her mother's cue and headed out the door, giving Ulrick a friendly kiss on the cheek and a little bounce in her step. "Try not to drive each other too insane."

"This... is fucked up." Willow breathed as she watched Moe walk off. Talk about being left for the wolves.

Ulric waited until they were gone to turn to Willow and look at her. "So we chased you to a bear trap and then Ray hit you?" He asked calmly. "That's not as I remember it, and you're here not as our hostage, but as our guest. There's no danger here" He said and got up from the bed.

"You've been living long out there, there the real danger is, people who would do anything to kill you, here you are with us, with your own kind, and we might know who your parents really were, what is the rush to escape or what is the harm done to you right now?" He asked.

Willow arched her eyebrow at him with a skeptical look on her face. She wasn't sure how he could remember it different, she was there. Still, she couldn't argue with him regarding the dangers of the outside world. She hadn't grown up sheltered but she had believed in the saying 'North, south, east is west, home is always best'. That was until she changed into a wolf and her 'father' shot her.

To this day she still had a star burst like scar from where the bird shot torn her skin.

She finished the sandwich along with four more, surprising herself that she hadn't gotten sick from it. She sat in silence for a moment before looking at Ulrick with a nervous expression.

"Anna, my.... mother, she told me that they adopted me. When I was 13, they let me read the file the orphange gave them," She explained. "All it said was that some people found me in a basket outside Yellow Stone park...."

She scratched her arm in discomfort.

"What if we can't find this... this... group you think I belong to? What then?"

She couldn't get herself to say pack. Not yet.

(Sorry for the wait. I got writer's block on this and life got a little crazy.)

"Then you'll be with us until you learn what you need to learn" He said calmly. "And then you'll be able to decide your path, but not before"

His eyes were set on a corner of the room, he seemed distracted yet his tense body told otherwise, he remembered differently for he did not se as "hit" what Ray had done, he had left no damage, it was a puppy punishment, nothing more.

"And what if I don't want to stay?"

She had finished the food, somehow devouring everything but the plate that have been placed before her. She looked small for a moment, like some poor lost puppy that wasn't sure if and where she was wanted. Her parents having confirmed that emotion and sense of lack of worth strongly in her.

Everything inside her still told her this wasn't her home. Not yet. And being around so many strange wolves was making her inner beast unhappy of being surrounded.

She sat silently for a moment before she got up and took her plate out into the kitchen. Once there she peered outside the window, watching as the different members of Ulrick's pack went about their everyday lives.

'How did they do it? How can they think any of this is normal?' She thought and hugged her arms in discomfort.

"They were born here, with their kind, as you should have, the humnns are not your kind, no matter how you tell that to yourself" The dark hareid werewolf said, not moving from his place, green gaze looking to an indefinite point.

"Humans are afraid of us, so we are away from them, let them and they would capture one of us for rituals, for research of for slavery" He said. "You were raised where you didn't belong, we are trying to find where you do belong, you are not a slave here, but we can't let you go to your sure death without training you a bit first, if anything because you are one of us, and no matter from where they are, another werewolf if a sibling for us, and another thing is that you could expose us"

Willow jumped for a moment, surprised that he had guessed exactly what she was thinking. And yet, she knew there was no reason to be surprised at all. It wasn't like she could have thought of anything else, there wasn't must else for them to talk about yet beyond simple sharing stuff. And she wasn't sure just how ready she was to sharing personal info just yet.

That and she most likely had given her thoughts away with the expression on her face.

She peered openly at Ulrick for a moment, noticing for the first time really that he was an attractive young man, well muscled and tanned from his years of running and working outside. A blush worked it's way onto her face as she compared herself to his Adonis like form, the far too skinny teenager body that made her stringy in form.

Ugly. That was the word for it. Willow was certain the only people whom were sexually attracted to her had to be those with a 'little virgin girl' complex, and though people generally gave her the heebie-geebies.

"Yes, I am," Willow uttered with conviction the moment she realized that Ulrick was looking at her. "And once I know how to fix thing everything will be alright again."

If she had been paying any attention to herself, she would have noticed the slightly spicy scent of arousal sifting through the air. It wasn't heavy, but it was there and while she didn't know it yet, Willow's inner wolf was letting Ulrick know she was young, strong, and definitely old enough to bred.

Not that it meant she wanted him to mount her here and now, far from it. It was just to let him know.

"Soo... what do we start with?" She pressed on, confused by his funny expression. "I mean, now is as good a time as any."
