I can't exactly place a physical description, because really to think about it, it's the person's heart that's delivering the punishment--unless it's foreplay. (Ick.) For me, any ideal kind of guy would have to be someone like (gasp) Cloud Strife, or Squall Leonhart. I have a very strong drawing to the stoic types.
