Alpha's Discipline [for Brat Prince]

Central City was a huge and frenetic metropolis where, hidden from the unaware humans, many supernatural creatures had built their lifes, during the last centuries.
At the beginning, a lot of fights had took place, since every race was demanding the total control of the city, and that had lead to so many problems, so much blood had been poured on the streets, that in the end, the leaders of the different factions had finally decided to meet to divide the city between them.

Finally, something similar to peace was achieved, when elves, Lupian, Felinian, Vampires and the other creatures swore never to attack each other and to stay in their own territory most of the time, without causing trouble when crossing someone else's area.

Since then, almost hundred years had passed...

It was almost midnight and the park was empty, the happy families with their children and dogs were now safe at home, and the wide green area was back to its real owners, the Lupian's pack.
The wind was blowing and the trees' foliage soundly rustled at every gust.

A woman with short black hair, wearing a pair of grey jeans, a red tank top and a dark leather jacket was sitting on a lonely bench, next to the small artificial lake, and she was nervously tapping the ground with the tip of her boot.
A pissed off grimace had turned her nice face into a beastly mask, while she was muttering something to herself; the Alpha was clearly mad for some reason and she was waiting for something...or someone.

Behind her, a couple of steps away from the bench, two tall men were standing and looking around like if they were checking the place, to make sure that no one could come near to their leader without her permission.

-...damn cub.- Morrigan lifted her head to look at the night sky, cursing a bit more loud this time -I'm going to kick his ass so strong this time, that he won't sit down for a month.- she added, with a canine growl.

When she had been informed that her beloved younger brother had been caught pickpocketing in the Vampires' area, she had almost immediately decided that she was going to give him the hardest lesson of his short life; Morrigan had always been against Jasper's criminal's inclinations, because she was sure that someday he could end really in trouble for that.
But of course, the younger Lupian had always ignored her orders and that was the primary reason, not only of their constant quarrels, but also of his very frequent punishments.
The female knew that he was a teen and that he was probably only trying to prove that he could do whatever he wanted, but this time he had gone too far.

So, right now, she was waiting for some snobbish and pale leech to drag the boy at this stupid meeting, so she could take him back.

Quite suddenly there was a sound in the darkness of the park, and it wasn't the trees. It sounded like something was scuffling it's way down the park path that lead past the lake and the bench where Morrigan and her companions were waiting. Between the dark and the thick foliage in this part of the park however, nothing could be seen of the noises origin, though it was growing slowly louder as it struggled nearer. Besides the scraping of shoes on gravel, the lupian's attuned ears could now make out hisses and retaliating snarls with small curses thrown in from two very different voices. One was deep and rich, with a rolling sort of purr to it that no doubt drove humans to distraction; the other sounded far younger, with a light and sharp-mouthed sort of tone.

There was a sudden cease to the two person's progress as the deeper voiced individual said something in a sort of warning tone, the words of which did not carry, before there was a sudden animal snarl and snap of teeth followed by a yelp. Seconds later a youth of perhaps nineteen rounded the bend of the path, darted between the two guards and then turned to hold his ground.

He was nineteen, a bit on the short side at 5'4" but with a lean and muscular frame that spoke of some sort of athletic regimen (lately running from the law), and had thick curly russet hair that tumbled over his shoulders freely. His name was Jasper and he was indeed Morrigan's brother, some eleven years her junior. His dark charcoal jeans were torn at the knee and a bit worn by his cuffs, though nicely matched with a dark emerald green shirt and open black vest. His bare feet (an oddity in the city) had sharped nails as did his hands at the moment, and his handsome foxy face was set in a crazed looking half-grin as he fixated on the spot he had erupted from.

A furious looking vampire, much taller at over six feet and with broader shoulders and curtains of white blond hair, seemed to simply appear before the lupians clutching his left forearm and looking aggrieved to say the least. "You little mongrel! How dare you bite a coven elder!" Snapped Marius, for that was his name. Compared to the wolves he looked like a wealthy entrepreneur in a tailored suit and turtleneck... though his sleeve where he clutched it was ripped apart and smelled of vampire blood.

"Oh don't bellyache so much." Jasper said with a lilt in his voice, green eyes sparkling. "You shouldn't try dragging a lupian by the scruff if you aren't prepared for his teeth. Not like you haven't healed already blood sucker." The teen was still half crouched and looked like he was spoiling for or anticipating a strike, making the other lupian males start to do the same. Marius straightened up with a wrinkled nose, looking down on them.
"The lack of remaining injury is hardly the point. It hurt and we have long agreed not to take up arms against one another." His icy blue eyes locked onto Morrigan then. "Unless there has been some change of which we were unaware? Are you sending your troublesome youths our way to let off steam in our district now?"

The very moment that she heard that fuss at her back, Morrigan jumped up and turned to face whatever might be coming toward them, instinctively clenching her fists, ready to fight...but after a second, the female Lupian relaxed her muscles and she sighed deeply, rolling her eyes in annoyance.
Everything happened really quickly, so she didn't had the chance to say or do much until her brother stopped in front of her, showing her his back while arguing with the tall vampire...but, at that point, she snapped.

Just when Jasper was bragging about biting the other creature, his sister suddenly reached his side and a second later she was holding his ear with her fingers, in a steely grip, pulling the teen close to her; it was a classic, in their relationship, and more or less the whole pack had seen, at least once, the younger Blackthorn being dragged away like that.

-Why don't you show me those teeth too then, cub?- the Alpha female scolded him harshly, giving him one good tug -You better shut up now, you're in deep trouble already. If i were you, i would keep my mouth closed!- she added, giving him one murderous look, that was promising him some really nasty punishment.

Said that, Morrigan threw a quick gaze at the other two Lupians.
-Relax, you two. Stay back and keep calm.- she ordered them with a commanding tone, before finally focusing on the vampire, while keeping her brother at bay.

-I'm really sorry, Marius.- the woman started to say, with a sigh -The pact is still perfectly valid, this little brat was supposed to stay within our area and he knows it very well.- at this point, she gave Jasper's ear another strong jerk -We have no interest in invading your district, i give you my word. As for my brother's behaviour, what can i say? He's young and stupid, but if it makes you feel better, i will tan his tail for good for this bravado.- Morrigan concluded and, sadly for the teen, she was clearly meaning every word!

Right after that last statement, his sister pushed him a step forward, without letting him go, just softening a little her grip.
-Apologize for what you did, Jasper.- she ordered him and it wasn't just his older sister scolding him now, it was also his Alpha who was speaking -For trespassing, for causing troubles and for biting him.- she concluded, sternly.

One moment the fierce redhead was facing down his fanged opponent and the next he found himself biting back a yelp as his sister (for he knew no one else would grab him in such a manner) twisted his ear like she wanted to take it clean off. Baring his teeth in a wince now Jasper had no choice but to turn his head towards her in an attempt to stop it hurting worse, unwilling to even say ow in front of Marius since the vampire was suddenly looking too smug for his own good at Morrigan's actions.

"I'm not a cub!" He said, starting to protest until he was forced to gasp as she tugged his hurting earlobe. Catching her look Jasper swiftly decided that discretion was the much better option after all. He suddenly didn't put it past her to stroll over to the park bench and give the vampire and their packmates a very embarrassing show at his expense if he tried pushing her patience just now. He was going to have to settle for explaining himself to her later it seemed, and hope that she was in a more reasonable mindset then. He listened with difficulty while she apologized to Marius, loathing that she had to because he had gotten himself caught, and feeling his face flush when she flat out told the vampire what her plans were for him later. Couldn't she keep anything private?!

Marius, for his part, folded his arms and listened to her with the air of one who was rather indifferent... at least until she mentioned tanning the younger wolf's backside. His clear blue eyes brightened with interest and a certain sort of understanding. "As long as the intrusion was not meant intentionally then... I am confident the coven will be satisfied." He said kindly after a moment, inspecting the mangled sleeve of his suit and the now perfectly healed marble like flesh that was revealed there. Only some dried blood and the garment revealed he'd been hurt at all.
"And there's no way to justify what the young do. Even one of my own fledglings causes me great mischief; I wonder if the fiery tempers and red hair are linked perhaps?" He said to her, actually smiling. "Let me know if you should ever like to borrow a switch or paddle, I've had to get quite a collection to make an impact on my little trouble maker."

If there is anything that makes you want to melt into the ground beneath your feet, it is being held in place like a naughty pup while an enemy offers your elder sister a tool to punish you with later. When Morrigan shifted him forward he averted his bright green eyes from the now paternal and cheerful looking Marius, because somehow facing him when he was hissing and condescending was far easier than when he was looking down at him like that with his sister twisting his ear. Jasper felt his chest tighten a little when she used her Alpha tone on him, as did he suspected the other two pack members behind them watching. Much as he'd have preferred to say something a little more confrontational to the vampire who'd dragged him here the young male had no choice but to listen when she spoke like that. Nobody challenged their Alpha if they weren't up for a hard fight.

"I'm sorry for breaking our truce pact and biting you." He said, perhaps a little on the hollow side and directed mostly at Marius' shoes while his face still flushed. Thankfully though the vampire seemed to be finding the wolves rather endearing now.

"Apology accepted," Marius said, locking eyes with the Alpha again and offering another smile. "By both of you. I'll go and settle the coven now. There will be no further trouble from us I promise. I'm willing to let the matter end here."

-Yes, you are.- his sister growled at him -Who acts like a stupid cub, will be treated like a stupid cub. Now, shut up!- she added, before basically starting to ignore him, to deal with the vampire in front of them.
It wasn't the first time that she had to do something like that and, even if she didn't liked vampires at all, she knew how to talk to them, after so many years.

So, the two leaders went on with their little speech about foolish youngsters and discipline methods, talking like a couple of old parents deciding what to do with an unruly child, like if Jasper wasn't there.
Morrigan was clearly mad at him, really, REALLY mad, and her anger was shown not only by her actions but also by her own smell; but still, she was now remaining calm.
She had to.

Desite everything, she was the Alpha of the pack and she had to be able to control herself in every situation, especially in front of one of those damn leeches.

When, after a while, the vampire seemed to finally accept her apology about the little intrusion, the woman smiled slightly, nodding a thanks toward him.
-I'm glad that it's all settled.- she told him, before letting out a little huff at the other's offer of letting her "borrow" some of his personal disciplinary tools -Thanks for the offer, but i can make him howl even with my bare hand. I have my own ways to deal with this brat.- she said, right before ordering to her brother to apologize...she wanted to end this meeting, so they all could go on with their lifes.

Like always, her Alpha voice made Jasper obey her command even if he was clearly against it, and Morrigan finally let his ear go, once he has done what he was told, but with a last order.
-Now stay close to me and, if i were you, i would keep my eyes on the ground and my tail tucked between my legs, Jasper.- she muttered toward the young Lupian, with the kind of voice tone that is better to obey, before throwing a last glance at Marius.

-Don't worry, i'll keep him away from your district from now on, and i will have a word with all the others cubs too, about the matter.- she told him -No more problems, the pact is still valid and strong.- was the conclusion.

Now she was only waiting for the vampire to leave, so she could finally deal with her younger sibling...

Unfair. It was unfair of Morrigan to call him stupid, or a pup for that matter. That was all that was floating in Jasper's mind at the moment, like a bitter little ice cube as he submissively listened to her and the elder vampire prattle with one another. All the assurances had to be made, everything kept nice and cordial, perhaps even moreso because of his little bite. The younger wolf felt a stab of guilt at that. What had been freeing and a nice release of steam for him had meant more bowing and scraping for her now, and regardless of how rashly he might act in the moment he loathed seeing his elder sister have to apologize for anything. Especially on his behalf. She had raised him after all and while he didn't (especially at his age) appreciate her disciplinary measures that didn't mean he stopped looking up to her for the tough capable lupian that she was.

So, sulking and starting to feel a little ashamed too Jasper did as he was told and kept his head down and his arms folded tightly, trying to look small and unobtrusive. He was in fact so lost in his own churning thoughts that her comments about making him howl sailed right over him, though he did start shifting from foot to foot subconsciously. When he did finally decide to chance a look up it was as the blood drinker was giving them his cordial farewells, casting a brief glance towards the backup Morrigan had brought with her and wishing he'd been bold enough to bite and just keep running.

If you were going to bother digging a hole, might as well make it deep right? All or nothing as they say? Although he was thinking too sensibly to try fleeing now, so he settled for shifting out of arms reach and hunching his shoulders as a puppyish look crossed his sharp features. Jasper swore he could feel his bottom start to tingle as he scented his sister's wrath, boiling off her in waves it seemed. Oh to be able to outrun her now, he lamented feeling sorry for himself again.

With a last head's gesture, Morrigan said goodbye to the pale vampire and then she was left alone with her two guards and Jasper, at last.

At this point, she slowly turned to look at the younger Lupian, folding her arms on her chest and frowning even more, if that was even possible.
The Alpha female was furious and, now that she didn't had to put on the show for the leeches anymore, she was free to manifest her anger; still, her first words were not for her sibling, but for the two men that were with them.

-You can leave, now. Go to the park gates and wait for us there, don't let anyone come in.- she ordered them, before lowering her face to focus on Jasper -I have to teach a lesson to my brother, before going back home.- she cocnluded, with a canine growl.

The other Lupians nodded to their leader and, less than a second later, they were gone, disappeared through the trees, like silent shadows.

Once Morrigan was finally alone with the youngster, she took a step closer; she had clearly noticed that he had put enough space between his sister and himself to avoid being grabbed by her.
-If you think that you can talk your way out of this or that you can stay out of my reach until i forget what you did, you're sorely mistaken.- the adult started to scold him, before moving toward the bench where she was sitting before -Now i want you to fetch me a bunch of thick switches from those trees, at least five or six. You won't sit down for a couple of days, this time, it's a promise.- the Alpha continued, taking a seat -And i'm warning you: if i have to repeat myself or if i have to force you to obey, i will add a taste of the belt after your switching.-

Morrigan gave him the most stern look ever, at this point.

-You could have been killed, you stupid cub. Now move your ass and do what you've been told, scoot!- was the last orderd and, once again, now it was the Alpha who was speaking, not just his older sister.

All things considered, Jasper really would have preferred not to be faced with being alone with his elder sister quite so swiftly. Not only because he had a fair idea of her plans for his backside but also because the fury at his debacle was still rolling off the alpha female in waves hot enough for even the guards to feel the burn. The slim redhead watched from under his eyelashes as their booted feet beat out a hasty retreat as soon as they were given leave to go, wishing he was one of them briefly. It made him flinch when he glanced back to find that she had approached him, her eyes still flashing, fully expecting her to snatch his bicep and relieved when she turned to the bench instead.

At least he was relieved, for a whole five seconds till her words reached his brain.

"Five or six!" He cried, finally looking her full in the face as dismayed as he ever had been. Light green eyes widened while his mouth sort of fell open. "I'm not trying to get out of it Morrigan I just don't want you to..." he didn't finish his thought, embarrassed to admit that her punishing him when she was fiercely angry made his knees tremble. "Forget it." He mumbled, turning to go back to the tree line and find a suitable young tree to cut the switches from. Her last command made his eyes burn a little, not to mention his face. Wasn't telling him he wasn't going to be sitting embarrassing enough for her? As though he ever would allow those neck suckers to be the end of him, as though they'd dare open fighting again by trying. And all over a lousy wallet.

Was it his fault, he wondered as he cut down the long and sturdy limbs for stripping, that he happened to pick one of the vampire's pets for thieving? No. How the hell was he supposed to know something like that? Lupians didn't keep human pets. Jasper stripped the switches with brutal efficiency; not only was he sadly familiar with this task but he was also frustrated and nervous, it was nice to take it out on something. Unfortunately that meant he'd finished his task quickly and had to go hand his sister the instruments of his doom now. He took a steadying breath as he twisted the five of them in his hands, with the pretense that he was checking their flexibility, to find that they were sadly quite good as switches went.

Not seeing a point in trying to delay Morrigan and upset her more he stalked back to her bench without looking at her, keeping his eyes on her feet as he thrust the bundle of switches at her and looking as blank as he could manage. If he couldn't run or try talking to her then Jasper was going to opt to flee the situation at hand in another manner. See if his stubbornness could outlast hers. It had worked once or twice.
